A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was allegedly stabbed by two teenagers following an argument connected to a multiplayer mobile game in Thane, Maharashtra. According to police, the incident started after a group of friends made fun of one player for losing a match. What began as normal teasing later turned into a serious fight.
The police have registered a case against three accused persons, including two brothers. No arrests had been made at the time of the report. The injured teenager is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Argument Started After Mobile Game Match
As per the police, the victim regularly played a popular multiplayer mobile game with a group of friends from his neighbourhood. The group reportedly had a habit of teasing the person who lost a match.
The first argument took place on 10 July 2026 while the group was playing at a local park. One of the teenagers reportedly became angry after losing a match and being mocked by the other players.
Police said the teenager later brought a knife and allegedly tried to threaten the victim. However, family members stepped in and stopped the matter from getting worse. The teenager was then taken home.

Teenager Attacked Two Days Later
The matter reportedly became serious on the night of 12 July 2026. The accused teenager, along with two other minors, allegedly confronted the 17-year-old boy.
During the confrontation, two of the teenagers reportedly took out knives and stabbed the victim. The boy suffered serious injuries and was bleeding heavily. He tried to return home before local residents and family members rushed him to a nearby hospital.
The victim is currently undergoing medical treatment. Police are investigating the incident and trying to understand the role of each accused person.
Police Register Attempt to Murder Case
The police registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including provisions related to attempted murder, common intention, and intentional insult that could disturb public peace.
The incident once again shows how small online gaming arguments can become dangerous when anger is not controlled. Gaming is meant for entertainment, and players should avoid personal fights, threats, or violence after winning or losing a match.
