Where to Find Ghost Buried Chests in Fortnite?

The Ghost Buried Chests are not your typical treasure chests. They are more elusive and demand a keen eye to spot. While regular chests are relatively straightforward to find, these ghostly counterparts are hidden and require a special approach to uncover.

Where to Find Ghost Buried Chests in Fortnite?

While these chests can be anywhere, certain locations have a higher probability of housing them:

  • Northwest of Shady Stilts
  • The Stone Tower Landmark
  • Aegis Temple Landmark
  • Brutal Bastion
  • The Hall of Whispers Landmark
  • Winter Biome Southeast Fault
  • Autumn Biome Southwest Fault
  • Burning Beacon Landmark

Not every buried chest you come across will be a Ghost Buried Chest. The trick is to locate a ghost pointing towards the exact dig spot. These spectral guides appear with white markers and direct players to a glowing dig spot nearby. Once you’re at the spot, use your pickaxe to unearth the chest.

Ghost Buried Chests are discreet. They neither emit sounds nor display any effects like the regular chests. To find them, players must rely on the guiding ghosts. Once dug up, these chests can either resemble the regular ones or have a pirate theme. The loot, however, remains consistent with the regular chests.

In your quest to complete the Fortnitemare challenges, you’ll need to find at least one of these chests. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can also opt to search for a Rare chest, often located in Vaults.
