Sinatraa responds to Gods Reign $144K offer, says, “I make that much in one month on Twitch”

0

North American professional Valorant player Jay “sinatraa” Won recently discussed Gods Reign CEO “KR” Rohith’s offer to join the team. While sinatraa acknowledged the six-figure sum, he showed little enthusiasm for the offer.

Instead, he said he makes about the same amount from broadcasting on Twitch in a single month, hinting that it was a pitiful sum compared to what he makes.

Through a Twitter post, Gods Reign CEO Rohith KR made an “open offer” to sign Jay “sinatraa” Won to a one-year contract. The North American gamer was offered a total of $144,000 USD through a public tweet.

He also said that he would be paying the equivalent of 30% of his annual salary as a joining fee.

Sinatraa commented on the offer made by KR during a recent livestream that was broadcast on Twitch. “An Indian organization offered me $144k a year, 30% upfront. That’s it?!”   Laughingly, he continued, “I make that much in one month on Twitch.  Tripping. Said 144k for the year?”

In response to KR’s offer, Global Esports CEO Rushindra Sinha said that NRG Esports had signed sinatraa for $150,000 for a year in 2017. KR replied that, if sinatraa was interested, he may reevaluate the price. Unfortunately, sinatraa doesn’t seem enthusiastic about the offer based on her facial expressions.

To be clear, Rohit added that sinatraa would receive 30% of his annual wage up front, and fewer benefits such as medical insurance, transportation, and lodging.

Sinatraa was moved to Sentinels’ bench in 2021 after allegations of sexual abuse were made by his ex-girlfriend Cleo “cle0h” Hernandez. When sinatraa was permanently barred from all VCT competitions, Sentinels were forced to replace him with Tyson “TenZ” Ngo.

In April 2022, however, sinatraa announced his return to competition, saying he wanted to return to playing Valorant professionally for the Sentinels.

As a result of the negative publicity surrounding his case, he has been rejected by a number of prestigious companies in the past.

Team Deathmatch Mode soon to hit Valorant

0

In a Dev Diaries episode, Riot Games announced that Valorant would be getting a Team Deathmatch game in 2023, among other new modes.

That will change in 2023 when Riot Games introduces Team Deathmatch and other new game modes to Valorant.

Valorant will get Team Deathmatch, according to Executive Producer Anna Donlon’s January 24 Dev Diaries. There is also a Deathmatch mode, and the new Swift Play mode condenses a typical Valorant match into less time.

The video also announced more in-game content, Premier mode, Valorant on consoles, and Riot’s plans to prevent in-game abuse.

In Valorant, players fight to be the first to rack up 40 kills in a free-for-all Deathmatch mode, but in a TDM mode, they can work together in teams to accomplish a predetermined point limit.

If players work together, they may experience fewer troublesome spawns and be less likely to be shot in the back shortly after reviving.

In the current Deathmatch mode, all player abilities are disabled and a random agent is assigned to each player. Whether the new TDM mode will simply repeat the same functionality or introduce new features remains to be seen.

Fans have consistently voiced their dissatisfaction with the game’s limited selection of gameplay types. Since its release in 2020, Valorant has only added a small number of game modes outside of its standard Unrated and Competitive queues, such as Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Escalation, Replication, Snowball Fight, and Swiftplay.

In addition to Premier, the in-client route to professional play, Andy Ho, Valorant’s Game Director, has stated in the video that other modes would be added to the game.

Although Ho did not provide any details, Donlon did hint that the first-person shooter game mode might be featured in Valorant in some kind.

The gameplay in Valorant is distinct from those of standard first-person shooters since each Agent possesses unique powers that can change the mode. We don’t know if Riot will take away these features or how they’ll deal with weapon selection in this mode.

Since its release in 2020, Valorant has only added a small number of game modes outside of its standard Unrated and Competitive queues, such as Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Escalation, Replication, Snowball Fight, and Swiftplay.

Valorant has only added Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Escalation, Replication, Snowball Fight, and Swiftplay to its Unrated and Competitive queues since 2020.

CSGO Player Count Rises to Mid-pandemic Levels as 2023 Buzz Develops

So far in 2023, according to statistics provided by SteamCharts, Valve’s first-person shooter has risen to prominence.

Although Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may have lost some of its impressions due to the emergence of new competitors, the shooter developed by Valve is quickly regaining it.

The classic shooting game still attracts new players despite a decrease that began in 2021. Based on data from Steam, it appears that Counter-Strike will regain its lost player base in the year 2023.

During the month of August 2022, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) had a peak concurrent player count of 1.03 million on Steam. This number peaked in March of the previous year at approximately 1.3 million, perhaps due to the now-receding coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

As a result of the millions of people being encouraged and, in some cases, legally obliged to stay at home, many people turned to video gaming as a form of amusement. PGL Antwerp Major was able to assist in restoring some of the lost counts, although there was not a consistent increase noted.

The number of people playing at once in the tactical first-person shooter dropped after the pandemic as players returned to the wilderness, but it is gradually rising again.

The month of January 2023 has been huge for the Valve game, according to SteamCharts. This month, a record 1,199,684 people played at the same time. Although this is a huge success, it is still about 100,000 people short of the record set in April 2020.

An additional 91,000 players, or 14.5%, joined the CS:GO community in January compared to the previous month.

There’s no telling why it’s risen so much, but it comes after the conclusion of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups and ahead of the EPL S17 and IEM Katowice 2023. The new esports season is likely the primary driver.

Currently, the game sits on a massive player count of 1,100,336 individuals as we now witness a concurrent player base ever since it hit a million players back in April.

Statistics taken from Steam charts indicate that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s player count achieved its all-time high of 1,100,366 in the month of September 2022. Since its last decline in June 2022, the first-person shooter has gained more than 46,000 players to its bag.

There appears to be a sizable influx of new players at the start of each calendar year. The same thing happened in January of 2022, with an increase of over 10% in the typical player base.

One million peak concurrent players were recorded between August of 2022 and the present day, making this time period one of the game’s most successful. We hope the FPS continues its strong play throughout the 2023 CS:GO season.

The current record of 1,305,714 players was set in April 2020 and will soon be surpassed.

Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 Night Market: Timing and All Details

0

If you’re an avid Valorant player who’s also into collecting weapon skins, make sure that you have your wallets ready, as only a few days remain before the heavily anticipated Episode 6 Act 1 Valorant Night Market is all set to hit the live servers of the competitive shooter.

As already confirmed by Riot Games, the Valorant Night Market will come to the game in February 2023, and it will once again provide a great opportunity for players to expand their Valorant skin collection.

In a little under a month, the Night Market of Valorant will make its triumphant return to the game. The Episode 6 Act 1 Night Market, as announced by Riot Games on their Twitter, will be available from February 15th to 27th, 2023.

The Night Market’s randomly discounted skins make it a popular event for in-game cosmetic buyers. Each participant receives their own special set of deals that are only available during that Night Market.

Before the Night Market lands, let’s take a look at what you need to know about this upcoming Valorant Night Market – its start date, end date, and more.

Players can spend Valorant Points, which must be purchased with real money, on six skins at random each day from the Night Market. These skins are not included in the current bundle or the daily store offerings.

The corresponding dates for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific are February 16th through the 28th, 2023.

The Night Market is a place where one must rely solely on good fortune. You’ll receive six skins from collections that are at least two Acts old, so in this edition, you’ll only get Skins up to and including Act 2 (Episode 5) old.

This includes melee skins, with the exception of those that cost more than 3550 VP. No skins included in the Ultra or Exclusive bundles will be available on the Night Market.

Of the six skins you receive, two must be knife skins or Premium edition gun skins. Here’s your chance to get your hands on a desired skin at a price significantly lower than what it would fetch on the regular market.

Ion 2.0 and Cryostasis are ineligible because they were released in the last two Acts and therefore do not qualify. This update adds two new skin sets to the Night Market: Kohaku & Matsuba and Crimsonbeast.

Night Market will run for 12 days, during which time you can purchase skins at the going market rate.

Fortnite x BLVCK Paris collab: All You Need To Know

0

Fortnite, the popular video game, has had its fair share of collaborations with various industries. From films, series and musicians, to fashion chains like Balenciaga and Moncler. The latest brand to jump on the Fortnite bandwagon is luxury lifestyle clothing and accessories brand, Blvck Paris.

Blvck Paris was founded in 2017 by French designer Julian O’Hayon. In its first year, the brand managed to build an active community of millions of social media followers and generated $1 million in annual sales, quickly becoming a well-known and loved brand in the market.

Blvck Paris has since grown rapidly, even making its mark in areas such as Web3, NFTs, and the Metaverse. This makes the partnership with Fortnite an ideal fit within the markets they dominate.

The new Fortnite collection, which is part of an ongoing collaboration, includes t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and lifestyle accessories featuring iconic characters like the Cuddle Team Leader and Peely. The collection will be available in stores from Monday, January 16th, 2023.

However, since Blvck Paris is considered one of the more luxurious fashion brands, the Fortnite collection does come with a higher price tag. T-shirts will retail for $90 and hoodies will start at $120. A mug will also be included in the collection, which will cost around $65.

The Fortnite collection will be available on the official Blvck Paris website on the release date.

FaZe Clan risks NASDAQ delist as stock falls below $1

0

NASDAQ has released a deficiency notice aimed at FaZe Clan as their listed stock falls below a dollar.

One of the biggest gaming organizations in the world, FaZe Clan IPO’d at a billion dollars recently, however, following a cash flow meltdown, the stock prices have plummeted from an all-time high of $20 dollars to $0.89 risking a delist from NASQAD stock exchange.

Upon investigating the downfall of the stock, a simple reason to explain it would be FaZe Clan’s expenses surpassing their profits and as a result, the stock has fallen below a dollar which doesn’t bode well with NASDAQ policies which state that any company with the stock below a dollar for 30 consecutive days risks a deficiency notice.

Photo via Google.

According to Nasdaq, “If a company trades for 30 consecutive business days below the $1.00 minimum closing bid price requirement, Nasdaq will send a deficiency notice to the company, advising that it has been afforded a ‘compliance period’ of 180 calendar days to regain compliance with the applicable requirements.

“If a company is unable to resolve its bid price deficiency during the applicable compliance period, Nasdaq Staff will issue a delisting letter,” Nasdaq adds. At this point, the company can request a hearing, which will pause the delisting, in order to make an appeal to the exchange.

The stock price fell below a dollar and there are no signs of it surpassing the dollar mark. However, a recent deal between SPAC and FaZe Clan members might see the stock price get positively impacted and as result, they might evade it this time around, however, their finances would require better management in comparison with the last financial year to avoid similar debacles in the future.
