YouTube Removes Monetization Features From Dr Disrespect’s Channel

YouTube has become the latest organisation to distance itself from Dr Disresespect after he partly admitted to the allegations brought by a former Twitch employee suggesting he was sexting minors.

After getting banned from Twitch, Doc set up shop on YouTube and was able to hit the ground running thanks to his legion of fans. His transition to the Google-owned platform was as smooth as it could be and he became one of the top streamers on YouTube in little to no time.

However, the allegations forced Doc to come out and admit what happened all those years ago which sent a shockwave through the community. The consequences involved him taking an indefinite hiatus along with losing out on several sponsorships and collaborations and now YouTube has removed their monetization features.

Doc joined YouTube but did not have an exclusive streaming contract in place like some of the other Streamers who left the Amazon-owned streaming platform to come here. Fans have reported their channel memberships getting paused and the “Join” button is nowhere to be seen on the channel.

It would be safe to assume that any ties between YouTube and Doc have been severed and it is unlikely that his content will be monetized upon his return should he choose to make a comeback.

Good news for owners of Amazon Fire TV devices and a new collaboration between Amazon and Microsoft will bring Xbox games without needing the console itself, thanks to the magic of cloud gaming.

Xbox is one of the biggest video game consoles in the world but it has always been staggeringly expensive and often considered a luxury among the masses. Amazon Fire TV sticks on the other hand can be considered a mass-market product given its cheaper price and the services that it offers to a wider section of society. A collaboration between the two entities can bring an experience similar to an Xbox at a fraction of the price.

The latest deal between Amazon and Microsft will bring the ability to play Xbox games directly to the Amazon Fire TV through Microsoft’s cloud gaming service.

At Xbox, we’re committed to bringing the joy and community of gaming to everyone. Today, we’re announcing a collaboration with Amazon where Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries can play games directly from the Xbox app on select Fire TV devices via cloud gaming, giving people even more choice in how they play their favorite games.

On June 27th, Valve officially unveiled the open beta of ‘Steam Game Recording’, a new Steam feature that will enable players on the platform to record their games and share their highlights with their friends.

This feature is especially useful if you’re into competitive games like Counter-Strike 2. Users opting into the Steam Game Recording Beta can capture high-quality gameplay seamlessly in the background, conserving system resources. On top of that, they’re also able to then share their best kills, clutch moments, and aces with other players using “a timeline auto-filled with game-defined markers, like kills and deaths”.

Since the Steam Game Recording Beta is an extremely new feature, users on the platform can find themselves getting confused about how to properly use it. In this article, we take a look at how you can use the Steam Game Recording Beta to automatically capture your CS2 gameplay and effortlessly share it with your friends.

How To Record Your CS2 Gameplay With Steam Game Recording Beta

To use the new Steam Game Recording, you’ll need to enable the feature first by opting into its beta:

  • Launch Steam.
  • Click on ‘Steam’ at the top-left and head over to the ‘Settings’ tab.
  • Click on ‘interface’ and navigate to the ‘Client Beta Participation’.
  • Select the ‘Steam Beta Update’.
  • Restart Steam to install the update.
  • Once Steam has been updated, you can go to Settings once again and select ‘Game Recording’.
  • You’ll then be able to hit ‘Record in Background’ or ‘Record on Demand’.

If you select ‘Record in Background’, Steam will automatically capture your CS2 gameplay in the background, but only the last 120 minutes of footage will be kept.

The ‘Record on Demand’ feature needs the player to set a specific hotkey (CTRL + F11 by default) to start recording. All recordings are automatically saved as clips.

That’s everything you need to know about the new Steam Game Recording Beta feature. Do note that you may experience a slight decrease in FPS upon enabling this feature, but many players have reported the drop in FPS to be almost negligible when compared to other recording options.

CS2 Tournament in Brazil Investigated for Corruption

Global Esports Tour Rio has been one of the most controversial tournaments in recent history. Despite said event concluding nearly 2 months ago, fresh allegations have landed the organizers in hot water with governing bodies who are looking into possible corruption within the ranks according to a report.

An anonymous tip with sufficient information for Rio de Janeiro’s Prosecution Service to initiate a case was provided concerning the corruption inquiry. The State has sent notices to CBGE, the Secretary of State for Sports, Leisure, and Youth (SEEL), and the Rio de Janeiro State’s Sports Oversight Board (SUDERJ). Only SEEL has responded to these letters.

The anonymous tip has highlighted two transactions namely, $815,000 that the Rio de Janeiro government allotted to GET Rio for the tournament followed by a $360,000 that CBGE requested a few days before the start of GET Rio. The proper calculations of said amounts are far from resolved thus the allegations of corruption.

The investigation group released a report on May 24 detailing all the irregularities found in the transaction of the amount in question. The committee gave CBGE until May 27 to reply. The legal section of the confederation requested one month to answer on June 7, which was after the deadline which was extended by a week later.

As we await the final hearing, the verdict will decide the future of the CS2 esports organizers moving forward.

Locate the Worried Weaver at coordinates (X: 9.3, Y: 9.2). The Worried Weaver will offer you a quest named “Enter the Viper”.

Next, head to the Weaver’s Guild and speak with the So-called Viper at coordinates (X: 13.0, Y: 12.2). This interaction will provide you with more information and further instructions.

Your next destination is Camp Drybone. Here, you need to find and talk to Keshkwa at coordinates (X: 13.3, Y: 23.8). This step is crucial as it advances the quest.

After your visit to Camp Drybone, return to the Weaver’s Guild and speak with Keshkwa again at coordinates (X: 13.0, Y: 12.1). During this conversation, you can become a Viper. Select “yes” to complete the process and officially unlock the Viper Job.
