Ubisoft Blames Gamers for Struggles? Here’s Why It’s Not the Answer

0

Ubisoft’s downward spiral has only gotten faster ever since they lost their footing with the Assassin’s Creed Franchise – with the latest shove coming in from the Monetization Director of Ubisoft who called out other gamers and companies along with their products “non-decent humans” on Linkedin recently.

This made the nosedive worse with the unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Shadows which got a great deal of backlash due to the issues with their representation and take on the Japanese culture through very unpopular design choices. This when combined with them delaying their release just after Sucker Punch Studios released their first look at Ghost of Yotei, only got the meme bandwagon moving further. Additionally, with their other game Star Wars Outlaws being a sad if not the saddest game release of the year only made things worse.

These problems led to a special internal investigation set up by the company’s board that has caused Ubi’s stock price to plummet more than 50% in just the last two months! This is why it was the worst time in history for someone from Ubisoft’s management to come out and say this on LinkedIn:

“The gaming industry is rough at the moment, we all know it. But seeing how “gamers” react on social medias, wishing ill-fate to companies and people alike is sad. (And not only towards Ubisoft. Even though it is always the vocal minority that express themselves on social media, I was hurt, hurt and ashamed to be part of this community.”

“What is even more revolting, is coming on LinkedIn and seeing the same comments from people within the industry. On top of exposing yourself as a clearly non-decent human being, you are affecting thousands of employees that are already impacted by all the hate despite doing their best to deliver incredible experiences.”

“How can you wish a company to fail simply because they do not cater to you or that the produce does not please you is beyond me.”

“We are all on the same boat, please please please, stop spreading hate, we should all uplift each other instead of bringing each other down,”

We seriously hope that Assassin’s Creed turns out to be a hit so that things get better for Ubisoft and that they’ve got the potential to do it proven by their previous chart breakers like Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry 3, and Assassin’s Creed II

We love you Ubi, but you really need to walk the walk. For more such interesting tidbits, stay tuned to Talkesport.

Halo Infinite HCS Confirmed for 2025! $1 Million Prize Pool & More

0

If you are a Halo Infinite fan, rejoice because you’re in for a treat! 343 industries just confirmed that HCS is going to bring back the HCS esports circuit in 2025 after certain concerns in the community around 2024 being the last year for the scene.

HCS esports to return in 2025

Just recently, after the Halo World Championship in 2024, the team finally confirmed that the HCS circuit would return for the fourth consecutive year in 2025. This means it would have the usual HCS format with multiple majors throughout the year, finally concluding into the Halo World Champion 2025. It was also confirmed that the $1,000,000 prize pool would again be present this year making it as or if not more competitive than the last year.

There always was a concern in the community about how the HCS circuit would not be pursued by 343 industries this year because of the delayed announcements. Although the developers continue to update the game regularly with new content (with also a new third-person mode in the pipeline) its popularity amongst a general audience other than the hardcore fans – is quite debatable.

HCS 2025 Changes

For the time being, we’re still not aware of the HCS 2025 will bring any changes at all to the format of the tournaments. The meta changes could be potentially interesting, like something to do with the map rotations for the games. Fingers crossed for Battle Royale modes in HCS, but we Halo 2 and 3 fanboys can only hope that it could happen someday.
Nevertheless, for all such updates around Halo and the HCS 2025 stay tuned to Talkesport.

When Does the CS2 Armory Pass End?

With the official release of ‘The Armory’ CS2 update on October 2nd, fans of the competitive shooter from throughout the globe have found themselves grinding out their Armory Passes to get their favorite cosmetics from the rewards list. This excitement, however, has also sparked curiosity among many players about the duration of the pass and when it will eventually expire.

Whether you’re looking to grab new skins to add to your CS2 arsenal or attach a new Weapon Charm to your guns, the Armory Pass has you covered. It even has a limited-edition Deagle skin that players can grab before it leaves the CS2 store. But when does the Armory Pass come to an end? And how long do you have to redeem the rewards from the Pass? Let’s try to find out.

CS2 Armory Pass End Date

CS2 Armory Pass

Taking a glance at the CS2 Armory Pass, it’s evident that Valve hasn’t mentioned the end date of the Pass anywhere in-game or in the official blog post about the update. This has led many players to speculate about when the Armory Pass will come to an end.

If you’ve purchased the Armory Pass in CS2, you may have noticed that the limited-edition item, ‘Deagle Heat Treated,’ shows only around 102 days left to be redeemed. While some players have pointed out that this could indicate the end date of the Armory Pass, it turns out that this isn’t the case.

If you’re wondering about the end date of the Armory Pass, it turns out there isn’t one.

Yes, you read that correctly—there is no set expiration date for the Armory Pass in CS2, and it’s evident by taking a closer look at the Steam FAQ page for the Pass.

Scrolling down the bottom of the questions list on the FAQ page, we can see that Valve has clearly mentioned that the Armory Passes do not expire.

CS2 Armory Pass End

This suggests that the Armory Pass might be a permanent feature in CS2, with limited-edition items periodically becoming unavailable as the rest of the rewards are rotated out. If that’s the case, only time will reveal how this will play out in the long run.

Best Heroes in Deadlock: How to Play Them?

0

Burnout from CS2 has often got the team at Talkesport venturing into yet another Valve game – Deadlock. The game is quite challenging and best suited for players who have an appetite for FPS games. So, we thought why not prepare a list of the best meta picks in Deadlock and how to play them?

Well, here it is – a list of the most beginner-friendly meta-heroes in Deadlock.

Seven

Deadlock best heroes

Seven is a hero that drives feel-good mechanics and plays well with the MOBA concept. Capable of dealing significant damage, the hero requires decent positioning and timing to reach its IMBA potential.

Seven’s Abilities:

  • Lightning Ball can be really useful for clearing waves of creeps quickly. It had good farming, too, and could really annoy your enemies early game. Upgrade it and shoot more!
  • Static Charge is a single shield that needs to be employed very strategically. It stuns enemies, thus making it difficult for them to gank you and providing opportunities for you to run away. It’s also good for poking at opponents – because when combined with Lightning Ball it really drains out opponents’ health. Just remember to not go really aggressive when the skill is on cooldown.
  • Power Surge is an ability that must be maxed out as early as possible. Chain Damage allows extreme damage to occur instantly within a tight area. It’s a good skill to target farms and is helpful during team battles as well.
  • Seven’s Ultimate – Storm Cloud can pretty much flip a team fight. You simply stand there for seven seconds and dish out insane amounts of damage to anyone in your line of sight. Of course, this action will make enemies more interested in interrupting it, so the timing will matter here. Ideally, it should be thrown after your opponents have already taken advantage of their abilities in the fight. Cast it from a higher position above where everyone is to get better views.

Seven is most definitely a meta-hero in Deadlock as of the time of writing this article.

Haze

Haze

An easy pick for all the CS2 players out there. The hero is a blend of stealth mechanics that when combined with good strategy will let you catch opponents off guard and will let you perform well in duels.

Haze is a snowballing hero, meaning it is difficult for the opponents to come back once they are behind you in score, requiring much more effort to come back if the enemy is under-farmed.

Haze’s Abilities:

  • Sleep Dagger prevents enemies from running away, while Fixation enhances damage dealt with every hit on the same target. These are Haze’s hunting tools whenever you spot a lurking enemy who is alone.
  • Smoke Bomb is an excellent tool for stalking. It gives invisibility and allows sneaking up to the opponent. The gameplay with Haze is quite demanding, and people need to have good movements since enemies are very hostile and want to ruin the game knowing how dangerous this hero is.
  • Haze’s Ultimate – Bullet Dance: This is a skill that Overwatch players will surely remember, because it is the same as Reaper’s ultimate. It is your job to sneak into a group of unaware enemies, activate ultimate, and carry out massive damage. This skill can be interrupted so you have Silencer and Unstoppable items. Use them, activate ultimate and unleash havoc on your enemies.

Kelvin

Kelvin

A very beginner-friendly hero yet again who has a tanky build despite having high mobility and debuff skills that can be very annoying to the opponents. When in the right hands, he is an unkillable imba hero as well.

Kelvin’s Abilities:

  • Frost Grenade makes enemies slow down upto a great extent. As it gets leveled up, it heals allies also, so it’s useful in team fights, when all hell breaks loose.
  • Ice Path increases mobility and lets you contest higher ground. Mobility is very much crucial in a MOBA. So do not underestimate this ability.
  • Arctic Beam slows down the enemy’s firing speed that can break, counter opponents who buff their weapons.
  • And then comes Kevin’s Ultimate – Frozen Shelter. This ability gives your team a change of tide of battle a lot of the time. Good for setting up AoE ultimates from the allies, mainly with Seven and Haze, and as a shield for your team. If an enemy is casting their ultimate, you can shield your whole team and make Kelvin deal with the rest as a front-runner who can soak up all the damage.

Dynamo

Dynamo

All our previous picks were heroes who are beginner-friendly – but unlike this one. Dynamo is easily a top-tier IMBA hero in pubs as well as tournaments because of his excellent support abilities but requires a lot of skill and a strong understanding of the game state.

And mind you, this hero does not shine alone! He isn’t that strong early on, but what he lacks in the mobility department, he makes up for in the team play section.

Dynamo’s Abilities:

If you have played Dota 2 ever before, Dynamo’s ultimate ability Singularity is an exact replica of Black Hole – which is Enigma’s ultimate in Dota. It pulls enemies in, deals some damage, and creates an opportunity for teammates to deal massive AoE damage. Since the ability can be interrupted, you have to pay attention to what items your opponents have and their ability timings. That thing can turn fights, making it pretty imbalanced.

  • Kinetic Pulse is the primary ability that lets you knock enemies into the air, so you need to learn the ins and outs of the mechanics plus interactions of this ability.
  • Quantum Entanglement gives a minor damage boost and allows you and your team to make short-range teleportations.
  • Rejuvenating Aurora – Is an AoE heal to keep your team alive.

With this loadout, Dynamo is very easily the best support in Deadlock you could ask for!

Shiv

Shiv

Yet again a hero that requires experience and skills to excel. Shiv’s attack and ability ranges are short-sighted when compared to other heroes which means you can get heavily penalized if you miss your skills, but when positioned right Shiv can quickly destabilize entire team fights.

Shiv’s Abilities:

  • Serrated knives deal heavy damage to the enemy, resulting in bleeding throughout the level. But the damage of the knives depends on how many of them hit their player model. A lot of knives mean much more damage.
  • Slice and Dice is somewhat similar to Genji’s dash from Overwatch, a mobile ability for dealing damage.
  • Bloodletting delays some of the damage over time. To really make effective use of it, you’ll want a good idea of all the damage sources in Deadlock and a sense of timing. It’s also a great tool in the lane phase.
  • Shiv’s Ultimate – Killing Blow works just like Axe’s ultimate in Dota 2. If the enemy hero has low health, you kill them in one hit; if not, you just deal damage. That’s really nice because, along with how Shiv moves around a lot, which can be really ganking-friendly, you take out important enemy heroes so they won’t turn it around in that fight. It also has a passive: the rage bar is filled up when hitting enemies, and when full, other abilities are buffed.

As Valve brings us more games, we will keep bringing you more such guides and updates for Deadlock, until then stay tuned to Talkesport.

The Best CS2 Skins for Iconic Weapons

Counter-Strike 2 is not only one of the most popular first-person shooter games but also one of the most community-driven content-rich games. The game has had the “skin” system for more than a decade now!

The game has other in-game content like skins, agents, stickers, graffiti, and other elements that let you have your own unique load-outs. Despite this, one of the most common purchases made by the players in CS2 are skins and we are here to give you a list of the best CS2 skins for some of the most iconic weapons in the game.

AK- 47

The cheap lethal weapon that is often a player’s favorite. CTs yearn for it, and T’s fight for its possession. The weapon has over 45 skins under its belt but some of the best skins for the AK are also the most expensive. Considering all the options available, we believe the AK4-7 Wild Lotus is truly a masterpiece to behold.

Wild Lotus ak 47

A bright green skin that has a flower pattern decoration, with lotuses springing up from place to place; hence the name. The skin first appeared in CS2 in November of 2019 and has ever since been a part of the game as a skin within the St. Marc Collection. Different variants of the gun, even with high float values cost upwards of thousands of dollars.

The best skin for AWP

A weapon like no other than can be heard from the corners of the map, outrageous damage output when wielded properly & a sense of ownership that bestows confidence in the player who has it in the team – all are traits associated with the AWP. Easily the best weapon in the game when in the right hands, requires a grand gesture of a skin.

AWP Gungnir

There comes the AWP Gungnir. Inspired by an art style that heavily derives from Viking mythology, the name of the skin in itself is what is called “Odin’s spear”. The weapon

Has a couple of ravens, and the body is covered by stylized images of spears. The skin has been seen many times in the hands of pros like S1mple who seems to prefer it more than the dragon lore.

The M4A1-S

The M4a4 and the M4a1-S are always in a constant head-to-head – when it comes to holding the best gun title on the CT team. If you are a person who likes the panda-like appeal of piano black on white, the M4a1s Printstream is just the right skin for you! The gun has a pearlescent finish with a spectrum of color representation that reveals itself under various light sources. It’s one of the top contenders for not only the M4 but for one of the best skins in the game!

And, do not forget the M4A4

Although the loadout and the usage of this gun isn’t the highest when compared to the M4a1, the M4A4 howl is easily the only skin with a unique rarity like no other, the “contraband”

The skin is easily found in the market onwards and upwards of $3000 to $14000+!

M4a1s Printstream

This finally brings us to one of the powerhouse pistols of the game, the desert eagle.

The Deagle (Desert Eagle)

One of the most iconic guns in the counter strike franchise with the stopping power of a mortar so much so that it is often called the “hand cannon”. This gun has never fallen out of meta, due to the sheer adrenaline rush from landing headshots within the game where 2-3 kills can lead to a huge turnaround in the rounds.

fennec fox desert eagle

The Fennec fox for the desert eagle is one of the most beautiful-looking skins in the game. With a blend of warm color palettes like red, orange, and an off shade of green, the gun has a cute miniature fox that’s surely bound to leave you loving the skin. A relatively rare and expensive skin is going to be our final recommendation – the Desert Eagle Fennec Fox.

What Are the Top Records in CS2 Esports?

Counter-Strike is arguably the greatest esports title of all time and despite its ups and downs, it has kept its place amid tough competition from the likes of Valorant.

In the prolonged history of CS, there have been several prestigious records and some are of recent origin. In this article, we have put together a list of notable records throughout the history of CS.

Most Kills/Frags in CS2 in Regulation Time

After Donk hit his outstanding 38 frags versus Wildcard, poiii, Swedish talent for the EYEBALLERS, exceeded him with 39 frags against Zero Tenacity. It is to be noted that Donk achieved his record on LAN while poiii did it in an online event.

Highest Earning Players in CS2

CS2 Esports

One might believe that this record is held by some Astralis players who won 4 majors but sadly they are not in the top 10. The top 4 spots are held by FaZe Clan players, broky, karrigan, rain, and ropz who went on a tear to win a major along with several significant trophies which further helped them earn the Intel Grand Slam. broky with 1.25 Million in tournament winnings sits on top of that list.

The Longest Map in CS2

It is appropriate to reset the records because the match format was one of the main modifications made to CS2. The longest map played during the Global Offensive has 88 rounds. With a score of 46:42, XENEX defeated exceL in the 2015 ESL UK Premiership. For CS2, M80 and Fnatic recently engaged in a 71-round duel in EPL Season 20.

Most Frags in CS2 official matches

With 4,355 maps played and 7,058 kills, nEMANHA from Zero Tenacity, is the highest scorer in terms of absolute statistics. It is to be noted that this record was achieved in the lower leagues of Counter-Strike and nEMANHA has never played in the upper echelons of CS.

GodLike Esports Advances to COD Mobile World Championship Playoffs, Vitality Faces Early Exit

GodLike Esports has successfully navigated the Swiss Stage to secure a spot in the Playoffs, while Team Vitality’s journey came to an abrupt end. The championship, which has been a roller coaster of emotions for fans and players alike, saw GodLike Esports demonstrating resilience and strategic prowess.

GodLike Esports’ Journey

GodLike Esports kicked off their campaign with a challenging match against Elevate, a team they had previously lost to. Despite a valiant effort, GodLike faced another defeat, putting them in a precarious position early on. However, the team bounced back with a crucial victory against Supreme TEAM, showcasing their ability to adapt and overcome adversity.

Their path to the Playoffs was anything but smooth. After a déjà vu moment with another loss to Galorys Company, GodLike found themselves in a do-or-die situation. The team rose to the occasion, defeating Animus in a high-stakes match that kept their Playoff hopes alive. The final showdown against Tribe Gaming was the ultimate test. GodLike Esports delivered a dominating performance, securing their place in the Playoffs and avenging Team Vitality’s earlier defeat.

Team Vitality’s Struggles

Team Vitality, on the other hand, had a rough start to their campaign. Their initial loss set a challenging tone, and subsequent matches followed a similar pattern. The decisive battle against the Wolves was a make-or-break moment for Vitality. Unfortunately, they suffered their third defeat, ending their run at the COD Mobile World Championship.

Interestingly, both GodLike and Team Vitality faced elimination at the hands of the same team that knocked them out during the COD Mobile Summer Invitational in Chengdu. This time, however, GodLike has another chance to prove their mettle, provided they can navigate the upcoming challenges in the Playoffs.

The Playoffs promise to be an intense battleground with matchups that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. GodLike Esports will face XROCK, while other notable matches include Qing Jiu Club vs. Stalwart, Luminosity Gaming vs. Galorys, and Elevate vs. Wolves.

As GodLike Esports prepares for the Playoffs, the hopes of Indian fans rest on their shoulders. Their journey so far has been a testament to their skill and determination. With the Playoffs on the horizon, GodLike Esports aims to continue their winning streak and bring glory to their fans back home.

In contrast, Team Vitality will need to regroup and strategize for future tournaments. Their early exit from the championship is a setback, but it also provides valuable lessons and insights for the team moving forward.

The COD Mobile World Championship 2024 has already delivered unforgettable moments, and with the Playoffs approaching, the excitement is only set to increase. Fans can look forward to more high-octane action as the best teams in the world compete for the ultimate prize.
