The April update is right around the corner, and dataminers have struck again. A massive new leak just hit the community, revealing that the end-game trophy pushing experience is getting a complete overhaul. If you sit at the top of the leaderboards, this upcoming Clash of Clans Legend League rework is going to totally change your daily grind.
Based on a viral leak post, Supercell is completely restructuring how the top players compete. Let’s break down the new sub-leagues, the upcoming migration week, and the new inactivity rules.
The Three New Legend Sub-Leagues
According to the leaked details, the traditional Legend League is splitting into three distinct sub-leagues: Legend 1, Legend 2, and Legend 3. While the daily star bonus stays exactly the same across all three tiers, the gameplay modifiers will be different depending on where you place.
Here is how the new competitive format breaks down for each tier:
- Legend 3: This tier shifts to a weekly tournament format rather than a daily grind. Players are required to complete 24 battles per week, and there are only 5 promotion spots available to move up.
- Legend 2: Also operating on a weekly tournament schedule, this tier steps up the difficulty. You will need to complete 30 battles per week, with only 3 highly contested promotion spots available.
- Legend 1: This is the absolute peak of the game. Players in Legend 1 face a grueling schedule of 8 battles per day. Furthermore, a massive purge happens every single Monday: anyone who falls below the top 10,000 players will face an automatic demotion.
The Big Migration Week (April 20–27)
So, how do you get placed into these new tiers? The leak outlines a “Migration week” scheduled for April 20 through April 27. Where you finish at the start of this period determines your new rank.
Here is the official placement breakdown:
- Top 12,500 players: Sent straight to Legend 1.
- Top 50,000 players: Placed into Legend 2.
- The rest of the players in Legend: Placed into Legend 3.
- Below 4,900 trophies: If you drop below this threshold, you will instantly be kicked out of Legend entirely and placed in the Electro 33 league.
Quality of Life and Inactivity Changes
This Clash of Clans Legend League rework isn’t just about making the game harder; it also brings some much-needed burnout protection.
First, players in lower competitive tiers (from Titan 25 down to Electro 33) will see fewer battles required for their leagues.
Second, the inactivity penalty is getting a massive overhaul. Under the new system, you can be completely inactive for two full weeks without facing a demotion. If you stay inactive after that two-week grace period, you will only drop by one rank per week.
Finally, the game is introducing an improved notification system. You will now get clearer demotion alerts and much better updates about your current standing on the leaderboard.
