Vitality Wins IEM Krakow 2026

Team Vitality is the winner of Intel Extreme Masters Krakow 2026, beating FURIA with a 3-1 scoreline. Building on an extraordinary 2025, Vitality has opened the new season by winning the first Premier tournament in style, as not only did they retain the trophy. Furthermore, the Vitality era into the new year. With no intention of slowing down, the core Vitality roster has all the tools they need, and given the difference in form, Krakow will not be the only place in which they will lift a trophy.

VETO

  • FURIA removed Dust2
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • FURIA picked Mirage
  • Vitality picked Inferno
  • FURIA picked Nuke
  • Vitality picked Overpass
  • Anubis was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Pick: FURIA; Winner: FURIA

Splitting on the A site made sure FURIA got off to the winning ways before a quick 3K from apEX’s Five-Seven levelled the scoreline. Vitality maintained a near-perfect defence up until the 7th round after FURIA managed to hit their second on the board, having finally gotten into the B site after failing to get the better of the A site defenders, only for Vitality to win the next and build on it before FURIA, with a half buy, won the final round of the half to switch sides with the Brazilians trailing by 9-3. Winning the first round of the second half, FURIA cut the deficit in half before Vitality won two in a row, with flameZ clutching a 1v2 in the second, before FURIA regained control of the game with a force buy. Breaking the Vitality economy, FURIA went on to rack up a couple of rounds with their double AWP defence doing most of the heavy lifting until molodoy’s stunning 1v2 to retake the A bombsite, levelling the scoreline 11-11. With momentum on their side, FURIA bulldozed Vitality in the final two rounds of the map, starting the series with an unthinkable comeback and winning Mirage 13-11. flameZ’s 1.59 IR worth of heroics failed to give Vitality the much-needed edge as the young gun of FURIA in molody came in with the impact with the rest of the supporting cast behind him.

Map 2: Inferno; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

A quick split of the A site started the map with a Round win for Vitality, and beating the force buy made sure they went up to 4 before FURIA could answer. In an attempt to split A site on the 5th round, Molodoy and Yuurih put FURIA on the board with a solid hold. FURIA won their second round, losing one more, only for their streak to be stomped by ZyWoo and flameZ converting a 2v4 to get Vitality their 6th. The FURIA defence recovered with back-to-back 2 rounds before ZyWoo clutched a 1v2 in the final to give his side the narrow lead of 7-5. His solid performance continued on the defence as Vitality secured the pistol round, with him turning the FURIA lead on its head, winning the first round, and following it up with a second. The FURIA offence fell flat as Vitality ran away with the second half to quickly close the game with a 13-8 scoreline, levelling the series.

Map 3: Nuke; Pick: FURIA; Winner: Vitality

Starting strong on defence, Vitality kicked off stunningly with a 9-0 start before FURIA could even see a round. With FURIA focusing heavily on the inside, Vitality had more inside every time the Brazilians went for it. With a rock-solid defence for almost the entirety of the half, Vitality had a read on everything FURIA threw at them, only for them to slip the final few rounds of the half, leading FURIA to win 2 rounds as they walked away with a double-digit score. Winning the pistol round to kick off the second half, Vitality sealed the fate for FURIA as the following two rounds went effortlessly, as Vitality hit series point with utter dominance over FURIA. With stars of Vitality showing up, the trusted hands of meizii stood out as the best performer with pristine riflework.

Map 4: Overpass; Pick: FURIA; Winner: Vitality

A 5-0 start to the game sent Vitality on the winning ways before FURIA raced up with 5 rounds of their own to level the scoreline. KSCERATO pulling off a 1v2 clutch in the A bombsite put FURIA on the board as two teams putting up streaks of their own showed individual stages of domination, with them being inseparable till the conclusion of the first half. FUIRA got back to their winning ways after converting the pistol in the second half, only for Vitality to grab back control of the game with the first proper gun round. Making B the prime focus for the FURIA side, Vitality had little to no issues in stopping the rushes and executed as if they had a read for everything the Brazilians had in store for them. After a bit of back-and-forth by the end of the second half, ZyWoo 4K put Vitality on series point, and another 4K put Vitality over the line to win back-to-back IEM Karkow, with him posting his best performance of 2026 on one of the most prestigious stages of Counter-Strike.

FURIA performed brilliantly against some of the teams who, on their day, could have been in their place in the finals, and that goes to show the level this team is playing at. Losing one event early on works in their favor, given it hands them the time to fix the gaps in their strats with more important events coming up espeically the Major in mid-year. As they walk away, giving up Krakow, they will be watching over Vitality, as there will be plenty of chances of revenge in the coming days.

Chess Added to Esports Nations Cup 2026: Format and Qualifiers

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has officially announced that chess will be included as a competitive title in the upcoming Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026. The strategy game joins a lineup of 16 titles for the nation-based tournament scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later this year.

The chess competition is set to run from November 2 to November 8, 2026. This inclusion marks a significant step for the game as it continues to integrate into the broader esports ecosystem following its successful debut at the Esports World Cup in 2025.

Tournament Format and Structure

The event will feature a substantial field of 128 players representing their respective nations. The competition will begin with a round-robin group stage consisting of 16 groups, each containing eight players.

The top four competitors from each group will advance to the second stage of the tournament. This subsequent phase will function as a single-elimination playoff bracket featuring 64 players.

Matches during the group stage and the initial rounds of the playoffs will be played as best-of-two series. Starting from the quarterfinals, the intensity will increase with matches shifting to a best-of-four format.

All games will be played under a Rapid 10+0 time control format. In the event of ties, Armageddon games will be utilized as tie-breakers to determine the winner.

Qualification Pathways

Players will secure their spots in the Esports Nations Cup through three distinct methods. A total of 64 players will receive direct invitations based on the official Champions Chess Tour (CCT) rankings. These direct invites are limited to one player per nation.

For countries without a direct invitee, or to fill the second representative slot, 56 players will qualify through regional qualifiers. The remaining eight spots will be filled through Wildcard invitations.

The deadline for determining direct invites based on rankings is May 26, 2026. If the CCT rankings do not feature 64 unique nations, the Titled Tuesday Spring Split will serve as an additional tie-breaker.

Regional Qualifiers

Regional qualification tournaments will be operated by Chess.com and are scheduled to take place on June 6-7 and June 13-14, 2026. These qualifiers will cover seven global regions, with each region awarded eight slots for the main event.

The designated regions are:

  • North America
  • South America
  • Africa
  • Western Europe
  • Eastern Europe
  • Middle East, India, and Central Asia
  • East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania

Each nation is permitted a maximum of two representatives at the tournament.

Building on Previous Success

The addition of chess to the ENC follows its popular appearance at the Esports World Cup 2025, where Team Liquid’s Magnus Carlsen claimed the inaugural championship. The 2026 event aims to provide a platform for new talent and underrepresented nations to compete on a major international stage.

While the specific prize pool for the chess event has not been detailed, the ENC has a total funding commitment of $45 million to the esports ecosystem, with $20 million allocated directly to players and coaches across all titles.

Minecraft Realms Down Worldwide as Mojang Confirms Server Issues

0

Players across the globe are currently unable to access Minecraft Realms following a widespread service outage on February 7, 2026. Mojang Studios has officially acknowledged the problem and confirmed that the development team is working to restore connectivity.

Reports of the outage began to spike earlier today, with thousands of users flagging server issues on tracking sites like Downdetector. The downtime has effectively locked many gamers out of their personal servers, preventing them from logging in or accessing their multiplayer worlds.

Widespread Access Issues

The interruption has affected a significant portion of the player base. Social media platforms such as X and Instagram have seen a surge in complaints from users who are unable to connect to the game.

According to these reports, the problems extend beyond simple login failures. Some players have noted that they cannot see their existing Realms saves or worlds at all. This is particularly frustrating for users on the Bedrock Edition of the game, as Realms is a paid subscription service and serves as the primary method for hosting multiplayer sessions on that platform.

Mojang Responds to the Outage

Mojang has addressed the situation through its official Discord channel. The developers stated that they are aware of the technical issues affecting Realms and are actively investigating the cause.

The team assured the community that they are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Further updates regarding the status of the fix will be shared through the company’s official channels on Discord and WhatsApp.

Recent Server Instability

This incident is the latest in a series of technical difficulties for the game. The current downtime follows a period of intermittent server issues that have occurred over the past few weeks.

As of now, there is no confirmed timeline for when the servers will be fully operational. Players are advised to monitor official community channels for real-time information on the recovery process.

Epic Games Denies Rumors of Jeffrey Epstein Fortnite Account

0

Epic Games has issued an official statement to debunk viral rumors suggesting that Jeffrey Epstein possessed an active account in Fortnite. The speculation arose after players identified a username in the game that matched details found in recently released public documents.

The controversy began when community members discovered a Fortnite account with the username “littlestjeff1.” This specific name had previously appeared in public files and email addresses associated with Epstein. The discovery led to widespread discussion online, prompting the developer to intervene and clarify the situation directly.

Epic Games Explains the Username Origin

In a response to a post by leaker @PiratNation on X (formerly Twitter), the official Fortnite account described the situation as a “ruse by a Fortnite player.” The developer explained that the account in question did not belong to Epstein but was instead an existing account that had recently undergone a name change.

According to Epic Games, the owner of the account changed their username to “littlestjeff1” only after the name became public knowledge through the release of the documents and subsequent YouTube coverage. The company noted that third-party Fortnite trackers typically display only the current username of a player, which hides the history of prior aliases and can lead to confusion regarding when a name was actually adopted.

No Record of Associated Emails

Epic Games further solidified their stance by conducting an internal review of their user database. The company stated that they have no record of the specific email addresses referenced in the public Epstein documents within the Epic account system.

The developer also highlighted a trend following the document release, noting that multiple individuals have since created Fortnite accounts using similar email addresses and usernames to mimic the details found in the files.

Community Notes Challenge the Explanation

Despite the official denial from Epic Games, the explanation faced immediate scrutiny on social media. A Community Note—a fact-checking feature on X—was attached to the company’s response. The note cited data from a “Fortnite Wrapped” summary from 2025, claiming that the account name “littlestjeff1” was already consistent and active during that year, specifically during Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters.

This contradicting information suggests the username may have existed prior to the recent document release, challenging the timeline provided by the developer. As of this report, Epic Games has not issued a follow-up response addressing the claims made in the Community Note.

New Valorant Agent 30 Teaser Revealed

With over four months having passed since the addition of Veto to Valorant’s Agent roster, the community is expecting a new Agent release in the near future. Now, as the release of Season 2026 Act 2 draws near, it looks like Riot Games has finally dropped the first teaser for the upcoming Valorant Agent.

Riot Drops Valorant Agent 30 Teaser

Earlier today, Riot Games dropped a new cinematic on the official Valorant YouTube handle showcasing the aftermath of the latest Alpha-vs-Omega clash.

In the short 51-second cinematic, we can see the seemingly lifeless bodies of Brimstone, Sova, and Raze on the ground, while Sage appears to be pushing herself in an attempt to revive Reyna.

During the revival process, Sage’s body starts crystallizing rapidly before being pulled back into the same ethereal state she entered while trying to revive Killjoy in the “Why We Fight” cinematic.

There, she encounters another version of herself covered in crystals, which soon begins to glow as the sound of a mysterious voice appears from within.

The mysterious voice can be heard saying, “Don’t give up,” to Sage before the screen cuts to black.

Fans believe that this voice belongs to the Valorant Agent 30, the next addition to the game’s roster.

According to multiple leaks we’ve seen in the past, Valorant Agent 30 is expected to have light- or sound-based abilities that could help them heal teammates on the battlefield or buff them in various ways.

Others believe that the new Agent might be able to copy the ultimates of other Agents, similar to Rubick from DOTA or Echo from Overwatch.

Apart from speculations, not much is known about the upcoming Valorant Agent at the time of writing.

However, with the end date of Season 2026 Act 1 being just over a month away, fans can expect Riot Games to drop additional details regarding this enigmatic Agent in the near future.

“For most of our relationship, we did everything together. Work together. Hobbies and interests together. Pretty much everything together,” she added.

The statement clarified that there was no specific negative event or drama that led to the breakup. Instead, Kyedae described it as a natural drifting apart, stating there was “no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this”.
