What will you have to pay for PS5 in India?

Sony India has finally revealed the pricing of its upcoming PlayStation 5 consoles in India. Both the PlayStation 5 Standard Disk Edition and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be priced at Rs Rs 49,990 and Rs 39,990 respectively. Alongside the consoles, Sony also revealed the pricing of next-gen games and new accessories that are launching with the PS5.

The PS5 accessories and their launch prices:

  1. The DualSense Controller – Rs. 5,990
  2. HD Camera – Rs. 5,190
  3. Pulse 3D Wireless Headset – Rs. 8,590
  4. Media Remote – Rs. 2,590
  5. DualSense Charging station – Rs. 2,590

Next-gen PS5 games launch prices:

  2. Destruction Allstars – Rs. 4,999

The PlayStation 5 console and accessories will only be available via authorised retailers namely Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, ShopAtSc.com, and Tata Croma. Also, Sony has no plans to offer Pre-orders in India.

While the pricing details were revealed today, Sony India didn’t reveal the launch date yet. As for why the launch date isn’t set Sony said:

“We know that gamers in India are excited to get their hands on PS5. Availability in each country is subject to, amongst other things, local import regulations, and our local teams are working through the logistics. We will share an update on a launch date for India as more information becomes available”

Previously, Sony was having a hard time to advertise and sell their PS5 consoles as a fellow guy from Delhi had registered PS5 branding under his name 3 months before Sony India filed for the trademark. This led to a conflict of interest and Sony had to delay their plans further. It is still unknown if the trademark issue is resolved or not. So we might have to wait further for the launch date reveal.

We are pleased to announce the PS5 prices in India!
