NASCAR driver suspended for using racist remark live on stream in an iRacing event

NASCAR driver Kane Larson used the N-word during an iRacing event that was being broadcasted live on Twitch that led to an immediate suspension of his without pay.

According to ESPN, Chip Gannasi Racing, the team of Larson released a statement mentioning that” Larson’s words are offensive and unacceptable”. Larson used the N-word during Monza Madness iRacing event that was being broadcasted on multiple platforms and even on the eNASCAR website.

Larson asked, “You can’t hear me?” before using the racial slur. Anthony Alfredo, a fellow NASCAR driver told Larson, “you’re talking to everyone bud.”

Larson apologized to his family, friends, partners, to the NASCAR community and also to the African American community by saying that, “the word should never ever be said.”
