Ion Phantom Can Help Valorant Players Control Their Recoil

The shooting animation in the Ion Phantom can let players know when the spray goes random.

The new ‘Ion’ skin collection in Valorant is undoubtedly one of the best looking bundles in the game right now, but it seems like players are more interested in another aspect of the collection rather than its visuals alone.

Phantom is preferred by many Valorant players over the Vandal due to its simpler recoil pattern and higher fire rate, and it seems like the Ion Phantom can help players simplify its spray even further.

As Reddit user u/COLOR said in his post today, the Ion Phantom’s firing animation changes as soon as the spray goes random.

While firing, if you take a closer look at the rotating portion of the gun stock, you’ll see sparks flying out whenever your spray becomes unstable. This information can help you keep your firing under control in firefights which in turn will result in better accuracy and faster frags.

Some players are also considering this to be a ‘pay to win’ advantage since the default Phantom doesn’t provide players with this luxury. The Ion phantom costs 1,775 Valorant Points if purchased individually, while the entire bundle can be purchased for a sum of 7,100 VP.
