The highly anticipated BGMI 4.4 update is finally releasing today, 20 May 2026, bringing a massive Greek mythology-themed experience for players. Krafton India has officially started rolling out the update across Android and iOS devices. The latest version introduces exciting gameplay features, new powers, themed villages, special boss fights, and major map changes in Erangel and Livik. Krafton India confirmed that the BGMI 4.4 update rollout will happen in different phases throughout the day.

BGMI New Update Features
The BGMI 4.4 update introduces a completely new Greek mythology-inspired mode. Players will see themed villages, giant statues, and new locations across Erangel. Krafton has also added references to famous Greek characters and mythology elements to make the gameplay more immersive.
A special feature called Heroes Crown is also arriving in the game. In this mode, squads must complete five different trials and earn honor points. The top-performing teams will progress further in the challenge.
New Powers and Abilities
The update also introduces three special powers that can change fights during matches:
Heart of Fury – Gives players a double dash ability
Spartan Flag – Creates a protective shield around players
Wax Wings – Allows players to glide and fly across certain areas
These abilities are expected to make gameplay faster and more action-packed.
Map Changes in BGMI 4.4 Update Download
Several map updates are also part of the latest patch. Erangel now features Greek-style structures, statues, and themed villages. Pochinki is receiving special themed items, while Livik’s spawn island has also been updated for players to explore before matches begin.
