A new leak from Marvel Rivals may confirm one of the game’s most talked-about roster rumors. Industry insider MultiverSusie shared an early look at an item shop skin for Jubilee, fueling speculation that the X-Men character is joining the game soon.
The leaked skin shows a darker version of Jubilee. It is not her base costume. The design points to a vampiric or Apocalypse-themed alternative look rather than her classic comic appearance.
NetEase has not confirmed Jubilee as a playable character. MultiverSusie has a track record of accurate leaks in the past, but the studio typically waits until close to a season’s start date to reveal new hero details through its usual developer video.
What Role Would Jubilee Play?
According to the leak, Jubilee is expected to join as a Strategist. That would give players another healer or support pick, adding a new option to the current Marvel Rivals metagame.
Season 8 already expanded X-Men representation with the additions of Devil Dinosaur and Cyclops. If Jubilee arrives too, the X-Men would gain another roster slot in the game.
The timing lines up with the second season of X-Men ’97, the animated series returning around the same period. That overlap could work in the game’s favor, since Jubilee has been a notable character in the show this season.
It is not yet clear if Jubilee would launch at the very start of Season 9 or arrive later in a mid-season update.
The Hood Rumored as Season 9’s Second Character
Alongside Jubilee, leaks point to The Hood joining the roster in Season 9. NetEase has not officially confirmed this either.
The Hood is a street-level Marvel villain. His comic backstory follows a young man who gains powers similar to Spider-Man’s origin, but without adopting a hero’s sense of responsibility. Based on his kit, The Hood looks suited to the Duelist role in Marvel Rivals.
