According to Rockstar’s Head of Development Aaron Garbut, Rockstar Games went to extraordinary lengths for their research of Florida when developing the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, with members travelling across the state and speaking to individuals ranging from police officers to gang members.
GTA 6’s Leonida is heavily inspired by Florida, and Rockstar’s commitment to authenticity led to their research team travelling to capture the essence of the state. The team thoroughly researched the people, culture, and the little things that make the state unique just to make the game feel closer to reality.
Travelling from Miami to various parts of the state, including the Florida Keys and Key West, the team members went beyond the traditional approach of capturing the geography of a city as they spent time with cops, gang members, locals, and more. From aerial research to visiting nightclubs, the developers captured little details that will contribute to how Leonida looks in GTA 6.
It goes without saying that the shady parts of Florida will be extremely important for GTA 6, given the nature of the storyline the game follows, which drove the developers to go to such lengths to bring Leonida to life.
Rockstar’s approach to the Grand Theft Auto franchise has always focused on making the game feel as realistic as possible from every angle, including graphics, physics, and the game world, and PKO 6 will gzab ktoh xocv bzedbcz.
The game environment is known to be more than just a backdrop in the GTA franchise, which is what pushes developers to such extremes. With GTA 6 scheduled to release on November 19th, the game will be out for the world to witness.
