Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene has announced that he will no longer be developing the signature game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and now look at research and game development projects for PUBG Corp.

The team will begin operations from Amsterdam and will take charge of “exploring, experimenting, and creating new technologies, tools, pipelines, and gameplay.”

PUBG burst into explosion in 2017, coming first to PC and making inroads in the Android Market in 2018 with PUBG Mobile. The game may have been at the top for a long time but there is no denying that despite the impact the game has had on the Battle Royale genre, it has definitely seen a drop in the playerbase of the game.
