Aurora Beats Liquid in PGL Bucharest 2025 Swiss Round 2

Aurora edged out Team Liquid after losing the first map and coming back with back-to-back map wins to hit an early 2-0 in PGL Bucharest 2025. The Turkish side has faced backlash lately for not delivering at the top stage, but their recent form has turned them into favorites for this CS2 event.

VETO

  • Liquid removed Overpass
  • Aurora removed Ancient
  • Liquid picked Mirage
  • Aurora picked Train
  • Aurora removed Inferno
  • Liquid removed Nuke
  • Dust2 was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Pick: Liquid; Winner: Liquid

A 3-0 start for Liquid was quickly matched by Aurora, which hit back hard. Liquid maintained their strong start and edged out a narrow lead before switching sides. The 7-5 scoreline got extended to 10-5 before the Aurora defense put together a streak of rounds to hit the map point first, but Liquid won the final round to take the game to OT. Having failed to edge out a win in the first half, Liquid won 4 rounds in a row to open the series with a win.

Map 2: Train; Pick: Aurora ; Winner: Aurora

4-0 start for Aurora puts Liquid on the back foot to open up Train. The clear difference in preparation was readily apparent from the first round. While Liquid managed to win a few rounds, Aurora was far the better team and rolled in hard to switch sides with a 9-3 lead. Liquid won the pistol to start the offense, but Aurora managed to get back on the board by converting the force buy. Taking back the momentum, Aurora won 4 rounds in a row to level the series.

Map 3: Dust2 ; Pick: Decider; Winner: Aurora

Liquid’s 2-0 start quickly lost momentum as Aurora hit the board with their first gun round win. Liquid managed to win two more rounds as Aurora’s defense remained largely dominant for the better part of the first half and concluded with an 8-4 lead. Liquid levelled the scoreline, winning four rounds in a row before Aurora shifted gears to close out the map with a streak of rounds of their own and closed the map with a 13-8 scoreline.

Liquid’s resurgence had many believing that they might come back stronger, but EliGE‘s addition has not borne the results that people expect. The team will need time to find their rhythm, but their honeymoon period with the new star man is far from ideal.

Envy Secures VCT 2026 Slot With Ascension Win Over TSM

Team Envy is your VCT Ascension Americas 2025 winners!

The North American organization defeated TSM 3-1 in the Grand Final of the event, marking its revenge after an initial 1-3 loss in the Valorant Challengers North America Stage 3 Finals.

With this victory, Envy secures its slot at the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Americas League for the 2026 season.

Envy kicked off the VCT Ascension Americas Swiss Stage on the right foot with a 2-0 victory over 9z Team. Their second match of the event ended in a narrow 1-2 loss to TSM, but they bounced back with a 2-1 win against Stellae Gaming to advance to the Playoffs.

The Playoffs started with Envy taking down Team Solid 2-1, followed by a 2-1 victory over TSM in the Upper Bracket Final. TSM managed to survive the lower bracket with a 3-0 win over Team Solid, but Envy stopped them in their tracks at the Grand Final.

The first two maps of the Grand Final were absolute nail-biters. Envy edged out a 13-11 victory on Abyss to take the lead, but TSM struck back on Sunset with a 13-11 win of their own to even the series. However, Envy’s superior coordination shone through in the final maps, as they outplayed TSM with decisive 13-6 and 13-5 victories on Bind and Ascent, closing out the series 3-1.

The 17-year-old Alex ‘canezerra’ Banyasz was the MVP of the series, landing a whopping 77 kills over the course of the series while conceding only 65 deaths.

Marvel Rivals Season 5: Release Date, Leaks & More

Following the release of Daredevil and the incredible success of the Marvel Zombies, NetEase is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Season 5 update for their hero shooter.

While the devs behind Marvel Rivals have yet to officially disclose any details regarding the upcoming major patch, plenty of leaks have surfaced on social media forums over the past few weeks to give us a decent idea of what Marvel Rivals Season 5 will bring to the table.

If you’re a Marvel Rivals fan and looking to know more about the Season 5 release date, leaks, and other details about the next update, we’ve got you covered.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 Release Date

Taking a glance at the ongoing Season 4.5 Battle Pass, we can see that it comes to an end on November 14, 2025. Consequently, it’s safe to assume that the upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 5 update will kick off on the same date.

Note that due to the Season 5 patch being a major update, NetEase will likely take down the servers for a short maintenance before rolling out the update to all players.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 New Hero Leaks

Shortly after the Season 4 update, prominent Marvel Rivals leaker and dataminer ‘X0X_LEAK’ shared a list of six characters that seemed to be in active development at the time. These characters include:

  • Professor X
  • Gambit
  • Elsa Bloodstone
  • Colossus
  • Locus
  • Rogue

However, as the leaker himself mentions, not every character in the game files is guaranteed to make it into the game itself. And since NetEase has remained pretty tight-lipped about the new heroes in the Marvel Rivals Season 5 update, it’s hard to predict exactly what the upcoming season has in store for us.

According to several sources, the next two characters set to join Marvel Rivals in Season 5 are Rogue and Gambit, with the new season’s theme reportedly centered around “love and romance.” Be sure to take this information with a grain of salt, as it remains unconfirmed as of yet.

Fortnite Unveils Bart’s Treehouse Event

Epic Games has initiated a widely expected collaboration between Fortnite and The Simpsons as Bart Simpson’s signature treehouse has started showing up on the battle royale island as part of a multi-phased event build-up that will ultimately transform the full map.

The event started on October 26, 2025, when players found a cartoon-style sprout tree that was appearing close to Creepy Camps in the northwestern part of the map. This was Stage 1 of what dataminers have verified is a three-stage pre-event chain and culminates in the official Simpsons mini-season release on November 1.

Through the progression of the stages, the sapling grows into a mature tree before the treehouse takes shape and becomes Bart’s iconic treehouse. The interior of the finished treehouse has a television set showing static-screened images such as hit Simpsons memes like Homer vanishing into shrubs, technical failure screens, and peeks of what leakers recognize as “the Dark Presence”- an enigmatic being related to Fortnite’s ever-evolving narrative.

The build-up is a hype for what several industry sources characterize as one of Fortnite’s most ambitious undertakings to date. As per universal leaks by reputable dataminers such as HYPEX and ShiinaBR, the whole of the Fortnite island would be overhauled into Springfield with cel-shaded visual effects akin to The Simpsons‘ classic animation style.

The leaked Springfield map features classic locations like Evergreen Terrace, Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger, Duff Brewery, and the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, which is where Homer is employed. The overhaul is a departure from the usual Fortnite collaborations, which tend to involve character skins and themed items over full island makeovers.

Epic Games will announce the collaboration officially between October 28-30 via an in-game live event on October 31 at 2 PM Eastern Time. The event is said to include the return of UFOs and end with Kang and Kodos, the alien pair of The Simpsons Halloween specials, appearances.

The Simpsons mini-season will last from November 1 to November 28, acting as a bridge between Chapter 6 and Chapter 7. The Battle Pass will reportedly feature Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Ned Flanders, Moe, and Krusty the Clown, as well as Simpsons-themed remixes of other Fortnite characters such as Peely and Fishstick.

Certain industry experts theorize that the broad collaboration is advanced marketing for The Simpsons Movie 2, to be released in July 2027. Although Epic Games has not yet made official announcements, the company humorously altered Fortnite’s official website logo to “Fart Knight” with the subtitle “Eat My Shorts,” the catchphrase of Bart, hinting at the collaboration’s announcement to come.

Fortnite x South Park Crossover Coming Soon: Reports

Fortnite’s constant deluge of pop culture crossovers could soon add one of television’s most irreverent and iconic animated shows to the list. A leak by a high-profile Fortnite insider referencing Paramount sources claims South Park is coming to Epic Games’ battle royale behemoth “very soon,” possibly to add Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny to the game’s ever-growing legion of crossover characters.

The rumor started with SamLeakss, a notable Fortnite leaking community member, who tweeted on October 25, 2025, that a “reliable source at Paramount”- the network owning and airing South Park – verified the collaboration. SamLeakss has built credibility among the Fortnite community as well as with other top-tier leakers such as HYPEX, Shiina, and iFireMonkey, who are often referenced for correct early-incoming information regarding forthcoming content.

The leak timing is also significant. It comes shortly after the conclusion of Fortnite’s Fortnitemares 2025 Halloween event, which featured horror-themed crossovers with Scooby-Doo, Ghostface from Scream, and Poppy Playtime. The South Park collaboration is allegedly set to release after the much-hyped Simpsons mini-season, which will take place from November 1 to November 28, 2025, and will feature Springfield on the Fortnite island.

To date, as of October 27, 2025, Epic Games has made no official announcement or statement about a collaboration with South Park. Epic’s corporate newsroom and official Fortnite news blog carry no reference to the crossover, leaving it securely in the “credible rumor” camp instead of certified fact. This is business as usual for Epic, which keeps new collaborations under tight wraps until formal unveilings.

CS2 Market Cap Plummets Following Controversial Trade-Up Update

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 48 hours, chances are you’re already aware of the market upheaval in the Counter-Strike 2 skin economy following the game’s latest update.

The October 22nd CS2 update, which enabled players to use trade-up contracts to exchange five Covert skins for a knife or glove, triggered a massive market crash, putting a giant dent in the value and overall rarity of high-tier items and leaving collectors scrambling.

Previously, knives and gloves were considered to be the rarest items in CS2, with their value driven by scarcity. In fact, the only way of obtaining knives and gloves in CS2 prior to this update was through case unboxings at extremely low odds. The new trade-up system allows players to combine five Covert-tier skins to guarantee a high-value knife or glove from one of the collections used, dramatically increasing the supply of these items overnight.

Market Impact

The immediate impact that Valve’s latest experiment had on the CS2 skin economy was devastating, to say the least.

The sudden influx of knives and gloves in the market saw their prices drop up to 70%, wiping billions off the CS2 marketplace. On the other hand, the prices of Covert skins soared through the roof, with certain cheap skins gaining as much as 20 times their value within the span of a few hours.

The dramatic shifts in individual item prices were reflected in the broader marketplace, with CS2’s market cap plummeting by nearly $3 billion in just 38 hours. This represents a staggering drop of nearly 50%, underscoring just how deeply the trade-up update has shaken the CS2 economy. The unprecedented decline demonstrates the sheer scale of the update’s impact and how much a single change to the trade-up system can wreak havoc on the game’s entire digital economy.

Community Reaction

Consequently, CS2 skin collectors who had invested heavily in high-tier skins saw their inventories lose a hefty chunk of their value overnight, sparking outrage within the community. Players flooded forums, subreddits, and social media, debating the fairness of the trade-up update, with many urging Valve to reverse or make adjustments to the system.

On the other end of the spectrum, players who had previously invested in Covert skins or just had cheap Coverts lying in their inventories saw significant profits thanks to the update.

Many players also believe that this change is a blessing in disguise for the game’s overall ecosystem, as it will lower the largely inflated knife prices and make high-tier items a lot more affordable for the average player.

What Does the Future Look Like?

Looking into the future, some experts predict that high-tier knife and glove prices may stabilize at roughly half of their pre-update value, while Covert skins used in trade-ups could see temporary spikes before settling at around 50% inflated values.

Needless to say, the market has fundamentally shifted as a result of this update, and players are still actively learning to adapt to the new landscape.

How to Trade Up to Knives & Gloves in CS2?

The October 22nd CS2 update introduced some massive changes to the competitive shooter that affected not only the gameplay but also turned the world of skin trading upside down. For the uninitiated, the controversial update brought retakes back to Counter-Strike with a few tweaks from its previous version and added a feature that would shake up the CS2 skin economy to its core: the ability to trade up to knives and gloves.

Prior to this update, knives and gloves in CS2 could exclusively be obtained via case unboxing, and that too with extremely low odds. Trade-up contracts had their own uses, but players could only trade up skins up to the Covert tier (red grade), which could no longer be traded up any further.

As a result, the knife and glove prices skyrocketed over the years, with any decent ones going for over $1,000, and sales crossing the million-dollar mark are also not unheard of. It was almost impossible for the average player to be able to purchase one of the more sought-after knives, like the Butterfly or Karambit, unless they somehow got incredibly lucky during unboxing cases.

Following the new CS2 update, players can now use trade-up contracts to get a guaranteed knife or a glove without having to rely on unboxings.

How to Use Trade-Up Contracts to Get Knives & Gloves in CS2

Players who own at least 5 Covert-tier weapons in their inventory can now exchange them for knives and gloves using the trade-up contract.

You can either use StatTrak™ or non-StatTrak™ weapons during the trade-up, but note that you cannot receive StatTrak™ gloves as a reward.

Here’s how you can use your Covert skins to get a knife or some new gloves in CS2:

  • Launch CS2
  • Go to your Inventory
  • Right-click on any Covert skin and select ‘Use With Trade Up Contract’
  • Select five Covert skins that you wish to use
  • You’ll randomly get a knife or a glove skin from any of the collections used in the trade-up

And that’s it! You now finally have a knife skin to use in CS2 without needing to remortgage your house.

Unfortunately, since Valve has introduced this new feature, all the Covert skins in the Steam market have skyrocketed in value. If you didn’t already have a few Covert skins at your disposal, you might still need to spend a considerable amount of money to obtain the fodder for your knife trade-up. At the same time, this cost is only a fraction of what most knives used to go for on the market before this update.

Best CS2 Gloves for Trade Up

The latest update from Valve has affected the CS2 skins community a lot, leading to the prices of knives and gloves crashing to the point where they are as affordable as they were a decade ago.

Unlike skins, gloves were released as a part of a wider collection, making it hard to ensure a successful trade-in. Picking a glove can only be done with the series, as trading skins from a particular series will ensure a glove released with that bunch.

Release series for Gloves

First Series

  • Glove Case
  • Operation Hydra Case

Second Series

  • Clutch Case
  • Revolution Case

Third Series

  • Operation Broken Fang Case
  • Recoil Case
  • Snakebite Case.

Skins from these series

Getting gloves in a game of chance, but what can be ensured is the series. Trading skins from that series will ensure that you get a Glove that was released along with it. While this may not be the best solution, as things stand, there are no other options.
