League of Legends Locke Abilities Revealed: Full Kit Explained

The ever-expanding hero roster of League of Legends continues to grow with the addition of Locke, the game’s newest arrival.

Riot Games officially unveiled Locke on June 9th, revealing his full list of abilities to the public, and it’s already turning heads within the community.

While the Mid-lane AP Assassin champion being added to the LoL roster had already previously been leaked, this is the first time we’ve had the chance to take a look at his detailed kit.

In this article, we’ll check out everything you need to know about Locke in LoL, and explain all the abilities that the Ashen Exorcist will bring to the table.

LoL Locke Abilities Explained

As per the lore, Corvin Locke throws nails, performs dark rituals, and comes from a long line of Demacian occultists.

“Born into lies and hypocrisy, he learned young that demons aren’t the cause of humanity’s darkness, but the consequence. Now, Locke tears through every soul, exposing its darkness, intent on making the world a more honest place… one exorcism at a time.”

Here’s a list of all the abilities of Locke in LoL, as confirmed by Riot Games:

Passive – Silver Stake

  • Locke pins enemies’ souls with his attacks, dealing bonus magic damage On-Hit, increased based on the enemy’s missing Health.

Q – Ritual Nails

  • Locke readies a set of Soul Nails to throw forward, dealing magic damage and marking enemies hit. The nails apply a slow based on stacks. Attacking the enemy consumes the Soul Nails, dealing magic damage per stack. Restores a portion of cooldown and mana for unspent Nails.

W – Soul Ignition

  • Locke releases his own seals, gaining Move Speed decaying over time. While this effect is active, he suffers % health true damage per second but heals back a portion of damage taken plus an additional amount based on missing health and time passed. The seals remain unbound for a few seconds and can be Recast to end early.

E – Ashen Pursuit

  • Locke blinks to a location, dealing magic damage around him. Afterward, his next attack dashes to his target, dealing magic damage to all enemies in his path. Each of these hits consumes Soul Nails. Cooldown resets on takedown.

R – Purgatory

  • Locke kicks a binding artifact to a location that opens on arrival, shooting chained Soul Nails at enemies in the area, dealing magic damage and slowing. Marked Champions that are brought below a threshold are pulled inside and killed. If a Champion is executed, the duration of the binding is reset on other affected Champions. After a few seconds, the artifact seals itself and is left on the ground if a Champion was sealed. If Locke picks up the artifact, he permanently increases the execution threshold and refunds a portion of his current cooldown for each Champion sealed.

LoL Locke Release Date

As confirmed by the devs, Locke will be available to play in the LoL PBE servers starting today.

For everyone else, mark your calendars: Locke will officially hit the live servers on June 24, 2026, alongside the release of patch 26.13.

Call of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2 Remasters Reportedly Leaked: What We Know So Far

A wave of credible leaks has taken the Call of Duty community by storm recently, pointing towards the potential remasters of two of the franchise’s most beloved entries: Black Ops and Black Ops 2.

The trail of leaks regarding the CoD Black Ops remasters initially started in late May 2026, when South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee published fresh rating entries for both titles, filed on May 21 and deliberated on May 29. That alone was enough to raise eyebrows within the CoD community, since the same ratings body has a well-documented track record of surfacing games ahead of official announcements.

Notably, both the games required entirely new rating submissions rather than simple re-certifications, strongly hinting towards a potential remastered or significantly updated version being in the works rather than simple re-releases.

A few weeks later, things escalated further. PlayStation Game Size, a trusted leaker known for tracking backend updates on PlayStation servers, spotted listings for both titles on PS4 and PS5, complete with logos.

The account further notes that these appear to be straight ports rather than full remasters, closer to the Red Dead Redemption treatment, and will reportedly include modes beyond just the campaign.

Both the Black Ops and Black Ops 2 remasters are reportedly set to shadow drop during the Nintendo Direct livestream on June 9, 2026, a move that could be tied to Activision’s push to bring the Call of Duty franchise to Nintendo Switch 2.

Note that neither Microsoft nor Activision has officially confirmed anything as of yet, so take this news with a grain of salt.

However, with two separate leaks from reputable sources, it’s looking increasingly likely that fans will soon get to relive the nostalgia of the classic Black Ops era on modern hardware.

Fortnite Sprite Chest Locations in Chapter 7 Season 3 Revealed

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 introduced Sprites as a core mechanic, and Sprite Chests are the main way to find them. There are 33 of these chests spread across the new Shattered Coast map. If you want to grow your collection fast, knowing exactly where they spawn saves a lot of time.

What Is a Sprite Chest?

Sprite Chests are a new container type added in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Opening one guarantees you a Sprite along with a loot item. They look different from regular chests. The containers resemble ancient chests with a blue glow and a pink crystal on top. When you are near one, it plays a sound similar to the Vault Chests from Chapter 2.

They are not as common as standard loot chests or Relic Chests (the blue rare tier ones), but they are easy to spot once you know the area.

One thing to keep in mind: Sprite Chests spawn randomly at known locations. Not every spot will have a chest in every match. The list below covers all confirmed spawn points, not guaranteed spawns per game.

What Do Sprites Do?

Sprites are small companion spirits that float alongside you as a Back Bling during matches. They provide passive abilities and change how you play. In Chapter 7 Season 3, the mechanic works differently from Chapter 6. You need to locate Sprites across the map and bring them to an extraction point to add them to your collection for use in future matches. If another player eliminates you, your Sprite drops and becomes available for them to grab.

Each Sprite has a different buff. The Earth Sprite, for example, gives you a chance to find additional rare items when opening chests.

Gold variants exist too. Gold Sprites share the same base ability as their standard versions but add a bonus effect. Every elimination grants 1,600 XP, which can add up to between 5,000 and 10,000 XP across a few kills in one match.

All 33 Sprite Chest Locations in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

Here are all known Sprite Chest locations across the map:

  • North of Frosted Flats: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Heatwave Harbor: 3 Sprite Chests
  • Collider Corridor Alpha Landmark: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Shaken Sanctuary: 3 Sprite Chests
  • Calamari Canyon: 3 Sprite Chests
  • Sinister Strip: 4 Sprite Chests
  • Wonkeeland: 3 Sprite Chests
  • Lifty Lodge: 2 Sprite Chests
  • The Zero Point Landmark: 1 Sprite Chest
  • South of Wonkeeland: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Frosted Flats: 2 Sprite Chests
  • Wettest Bones Research Facility Landmark: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Crashout Estates Landmark: 1 Sprite Chest
  • The Battlewoods: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Chopped Shop: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Collider Corridor Beta Landmark: 1 Sprite Chest
  • South of Calamari Canyon: 2 Sprite Chests
  • Golden Grove: 1 Sprite Chest
  • Cluster Coast: 1 Sprite Chest

Sinister Strip has the highest concentration of Sprite Chests in one area at four. Calamari Canyon, Heatwave Harbor, Shaken Sanctuary, and Wonkeeland each have three.

Vaults are another reliable way to find Sprite Chests. Small vaults contain a rare chest, Slurp barrels, and a Sprite Chest. Large Sprite Vaults, opened with a legendary keycard, contain multiple Sprite Chests along with high-rarity loot and regular chests.

The two epic Sprite Vaults are located at Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip. Both are underground. Head to the marked POI and find the ladder entrance to get in.

Keys and keycards drop randomly from chests across the map. There is no fixed NPC or floor spawn tied to them this Fortnite season.

Xbox Lost Millions of Subscribers After Game Pass Price Hike

Xbox Game Pass shed millions of subscribers following a steep 50% price increase in October 2025. Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball confirmed this at The Game Business Live event on June 8, 2026, speaking alongside show host Christopher Dring during Summer Game Fest. The admission is one of the most direct public acknowledgments Microsoft has made about the damage caused by last year’s price change.

    What Matthew Ball Said

Ball told The Game Business Live that Xbox “shed millions of subscribers over the span of a few months” after the price hike. The statement was first shared publicly by The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley on X.

Ball did not give a specific subscriber count. The last publicly reported Game Pass figures hovered between 35 and 38 million. Going by the scale of losses Ball described, current numbers may be closer to 30 million.

The October 2025 price change raised Game Pass Ultimate from $19.99 to $29.99 per month. That is a 50% increase. At the time, users rushed to cancel their memberships in large enough numbers that Microsoft’s cancellation page reportedly crashed.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma Had Already Flagged the Problem

Ball’s comments at The Game Business Live were not entirely new ground. Last month, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma sent a note to employees that “growth slowed down and subscriber loss accelerated after the pricing and SKU changes last year.” She described a recent Game Pass price cut as “a good first step” and told staff they would “have to outwork the problem in front of us in our path to restore durable growth.”

Sharma did not share specific numbers in that note. She has since said the changes are “helping move Xbox in the right direction,” with subscriber retention improving after the price reduction took effect.

Ball Joined Xbox in Late May 2026

Matthew Ball was appointed Xbox Chief Strategy Officer in late May 2026. He came from outside the company. Before joining Microsoft, he worked as a games industry analyst and was CEO of Epyllion, a venture investment and advisory firm. He also served as head of strategy and planning at Amazon Studios.

Ball said that when he first sat down with Sharma, she asked him directly: “Is it fixable?” He said yes. “I’m a strategic optimist,” Ball told the audience at The Game Business Live. “I think it’s incredibly defeatist to think that in any scenario you can’t do better.”

The 100 Million Subscriber Target Looks Harder Now

Before the price hike, Game Pass was projected to reach 100 million subscribers by 2030. With subscriber counts now lower than they were a year ago, that target requires more than tripling the current user base in under four years.

Ball acknowledged the challenge but said he believes the service can recover under current leadership. He pointed to a plan involving a “reliable pipeline” of exclusives to give Xbox players a reason to stay subscribed.

Nintendo Direct June 9 2026: Start Time and How to Watch

Nintendo has officially confirmed a Nintendo Direct for Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The announcement came through the Nintendo Today app, with the event starting at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM UK.

The showcase will run for roughly 50 minutes and cover upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games. Right after, a Nintendo Treehouse: Live event will follow for around 95 minutes, featuring gameplay of select titles from the Direct.

First Major Direct Since September 2025

This is the first general Nintendo Direct of 2026 and the first of its kind since last September. Earlier in the year, Nintendo held a Partner Showcase in February, along with smaller game-specific presentations.

Nintendo has held a June Direct every year since 2012. Some years have been game-specific, while older June Directs tied into E3 and offered a broader look at Nintendo’s upcoming lineup.

This month also marks one year since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched. The console is Nintendo’s fastest-selling ever and has reached 19.86 million units sold as of March 31, 2026.

The Nintendo Direct will be available to watch on YouTube. The Nintendo Today app and Nintendo’s official website will also carry the stream.
