Two exclusive KKR-branded in-game collectables will be introduced:

That’s the standard we want to set for every sports partnership we build inside BGMI.”

The partnership aims to connect cricket fandom with gaming culture, especially as the IPL season approaches. By launching the collaboration ahead of IPL 2026, BGMI is positioning itself as another platform where fans can show support for their favorite team.

BGMI Female Esports Player “Wizzy” Reportedly Passes Away; Myth Hawks Player Recently Got Engaged

The Indian esports community has been left shocked by the tragic news surrounding BGMI female esports player Wizzy. According to reports shared by LetsGrowEsports, Wizzy reportedly self-harmed and later passed away. The heartbreaking incident comes just a week after she reportedly got engaged to her boyfriend, Dragon Esports player Superboi.

Wizzy was a known name in the BGMI esports scene and had competed in major tournaments such as the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series. The Challenger Series served as a qualification tournament for the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2025. She represented Myth Hawks during her competitive career and gained recognition after her performance in the tournament.

This incident has once again raised concerns within the Indian esports community. Earlier this year on January 31, former Free Fire esports player Tahir “Fuego” Mukhtar also tragically passed away after a similar reported incident. Both cases have sparked conversations around mental health awareness in esports.

Who was BGMI Female Player Wizzy?

Wizzy was an emerging female esports athlete in the BGMI competitive scene. She represented the team Myth Hawks and participated in several competitive events in the Indian BGMI esports circuit.

Her most notable appearances came during BMPS 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series. The Challenger Series was particularly important as it acted as the qualifying stage for the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2025.

During the BGMI Challenger Series LAN event held in Delhi, Wizzy was also interviewed on stage. Her confident gameplay and presence during the tournament helped her gain recognition among fans and the wider BGMI esports community.

As a female player competing in a highly competitive esports environment, Wizzy had started to build a growing fanbase who admired her skills and dedication to the game.

Recent Engagement Before the Tragic Incident

According to reports circulating within the esports community, Wizzy had recently gotten engaged to her boyfriend in March 2026. Her fiancé, known as Superboi, is reportedly associated with Dragon Esports.

The engagement news had been shared just a week before the tragic incident, making the situation even more heartbreaking for fans and members of the esports community.

While official details surrounding the incident remain limited, many players, fans, and content creators have expressed their condolences and grief online.

Previous Similar Incident in Indian Esports

This is not the first time the Indian esports community has faced such tragic news in recent months.

On January 31, 2026, former Free Fire esports player and content creator Tahir “Fuego” Mukhtar also passed away after a reported self-harm incident at the GodLike Esports bootcamp. TahirFuego had previously represented teams like Nigma Galaxy and GodLike Esports and was a known name in the Free Fire esports scene.

The back-to-back tragedies have deeply impacted the gaming and esports ecosystem in India, with many community members calling for stronger conversations around mental health, support systems, and player wellbeing.

Following the reports of Wizzy’s passing, several members of the BGMI esports community have shared condolence messages on social media. Players, creators, and fans have remembered her as a passionate gamer who was working hard to build her career in esports.

The loss of young talents like Wizzy and TahirFuego is being felt deeply across the community.

Our deepest condolences go out to Wizzy’s family, friends, teammates, and everyone affected by this tragic loss.

May her soul rest in peace.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health challenges, seeking support from trusted individuals or professional help can make a difference.

BGMI Next Royal Pass Date: A18 Royale Pass Release, Rewards & More

0

The BGMI next royal pass date has been one of the hottest topics in the community right now. The upcoming A18 Royale Pass is expected to launch on March 22, 2026, at 7:30 AM IST, alongside the major BGMI 4.3 update.

What Is the BGMI A18 Royal Pass?

The A18 Royale Pass is the next seasonal pass in Battlegrounds Mobile India, arriving as part of the BGMI 4.3 update expected in mid-March 2026. Just like previous passes, it offers a progression system where players unlock rewards from Level 1 to Level 100 by completing daily and weekly missions. Data miners have already leaked some of the upcoming rewards, giving players an early look at what to expect.

BGMI A18 Royal Pass Release Date & Time

Based on multiple community sources and data miner reports, the BGMI A18 Royale Pass is expected on March 22, 2026, at 7:30 AM IST. PUBG Mobile typically receives the new Royal Pass about a week before BGMI, which means BGMI players can expect the pass roughly one week after its global launch. Krafton has not issued an official announcement yet, so treat the March 22 date as the best estimate until confirmed.

A18 Royale Pass Leaked Rewards

Leaks from data miners have surfaced exciting reward details for the A18 Royale Pass. Here is a breakdown of what players can expect at key milestones:

RP LevelReward
Level 1Character and themed weapon skin
Level 10Helmet skin
Level 20Stun grenade skin
Level 40Customizable RP set
Level 50Upgradable weapon skin
Level 60Vehicle skin

Monthly Pass vs. Elite Pass

The BGMI Royale Pass comes in two variants: a Monthly Pass and a full Elite Royale Pass (Level 1 to 100). The Monthly Pass is a lighter, budget-friendly option that covers a shorter reward cycle, while the Elite Pass unlocks all 100 levels of rewards for the full season. Players who want maximum value, including the Level 100 ultimate reward, should go for the full Elite Pass.

What Is the BGMI 4.3 Update?

The BGMI 4.3 update is the major patch that will bring the A18 Royale Pass to the game. Beyond the Royal Pass, the update is expected to bring new gameplay modes, weapon changes, and other seasonal events. BGMI updates typically roll out on Google Play for Android first, usually in the early morning IST.

Keep an eye on Krafton India’s official website and their social media channels for the official patch notes and final release dates.

BGMI Lite Release Date in India: Everything We Know So Far

As of March 2026, there is no official BGMI Lite release date in India. Krafton has not made any formal announcement, but a detailed in-game survey sent to players in January 2026 has reignited hopes across the Indian mobile gaming community.

The Krafton Survey That Started It All

On January 23, 2026, Krafton India rolled out a targeted in-game survey focused specifically on low-end device performance. Unlike casual polls, this one asked direct questions including “Do You Want BGMI Lite?”, along with queries about low FPS, overheating, battery drain, and even monetization preferences like ad tolerance and subscription models. This is the clearest signal yet that Krafton is seriously reconsidering a Lite version, years after PUBG Mobile Lite was discontinued in India.

What Leaks and Reports Say

Some media reports and leaks have attached a speculative date to the launch. A report by Latestly pointed to around November 16, 2026, as a potential window, citing Q4 2026 as the expected quarter. Other sources, including YouTube commentators, have pointed to December 2026. However, these dates are not based on official confirmations from Krafton and should be treated purely as speculation.

Why a 2026 Launch Is Unlikely

Despite the survey excitement, multiple analysts and gaming publications believe a 2026 BGMI Lite release date in India is highly unrealistic. Here is why:

  • Development time: Building a separate, optimized Battle Royale app from scratch takes months of internal development, alpha testing, and beta rollouts
  • Legal and regulatory clearances: BGMI itself went through rigorous government security audits before launch; a new Lite app would likely be treated as a separate entity requiring its own compliance process
  • Player base fragmentation: Splitting users between BGMI and BGMI Lite creates matchmaking issues, which makes it more commercially viable for Krafton to optimize the existing app instead
  • Survey is not a roadmap: Krafton regularly runs surveys to gather general feedback, not to announce development decisions

Realistic Expectations for Indian Gamers

According to current timelines and development realities, a 2027 release is far more realistic than 2026. What 2026 is more likely to bring includes official announcements, possible early development confirmations, and further leaks or teasers, but not the actual app launch.

Expected Features of BGMI Lite

If and when BGMI Lite does launch in India, here is what you should expect it to offer based on survey signals and the legacy of PUBG Mobile Lite:

  • App size under 600MB for easier downloads on budget devices
  • Minimum 2GB RAM requirement
  • Optimized maps with adjusted graphics settings
  • Reduced texture quality and simplified visual effects for smooth performance
  • Availability on both Android and iOS

What Budget Gamers Can Do Right Now

While waiting for an official BGMI Lite release date in India, players on low-end devices can try lowering in-game graphics settings in the existing BGMI app, which now offers smooth and balanced modes. You can also check out games optimized for low-end Android phones on TalkEsport for alternatives that run well on budget hardware.

BGIS 2026 Survival Stage Teams: Full List, Format, and Schedule

The BGIS 2026 Survival Stage is officially underway, featuring 16 teams fighting for the final spots at the Grand Finals. Teams that narrowly missed direct qualification from the Semifinals now get one last shot to prove themselves on the LAN stage.

All 16 BGIS 2026 Survival Stage Teams

A total of 16 teams are competing in the BGIS 2026 Survival Stage. These are teams that competed in the Semifinals but failed to secure a direct Grand Finals berth, making this their final opportunity to advance in the tournament.

Here is the complete list of BGIS 2026 Survival Stage teams:

  • Vasista Esports
  • NONx Esports
  • HeroXtreme Godlike
  • Troy Tamilan Esports
  • MYTH Official
  • EVOX Esports
  • NEBULA Esports
  • IQOO Team Tamilas
  • Wyld Fangs
  • The Vanguard
  • Pheonix Esports
  • Sinewy Esports
  • K9 Esports
  • WELT Esports
  • Madkings
  • 4Wolf x DOD

Several of these squads, like EVOX Esports and Troy Tamilan Esports, were confirmed among the 16 teams that reached the Semifinals from the Quarter Finals stage. Familiar names like HeroXtreme Godlike and IQOO Team Tamilas bring strong fan followings and competitive pedigree into this stage.

Survival Stage Format

The Survival Stage is a compact but intense format that leaves very little room for error. Here is how it works:

  • Total Teams: 16
  • Total Matchdays: 2
  • Total Matches: 12 (6 per day)
  • Qualification: Top 8 teams from the overall leaderboard advance to the Grand Finals

With only 12 matches to play, even one or two bad games can drop a team out of contention. Every placement point and kill point matters here, and teams simply cannot afford the slow-start strategies they might use in longer stages.

Survival Stage Schedule and Venue

The BGIS 2026 Survival Stage is being held across two days: March 16 and March 17, 2026, with matches beginning at 3:00 PM IST each day. The venue for the Survival Stage is the Sandhya Convention Center in Hyderabad, India.

This is a LAN event, meaning all teams are physically present, which adds to the pressure and the spectacle for attendees and viewers alike. You can follow all live updates and match coverage on TalkEsport’s BGMI page.

BGIS 2026 Grand Finals

The top 8 teams from the Survival Stage will join the 8 teams that already qualified directly from the Semifinals to form a 16-team Grand Finals lineup. The BGIS 2026 Grand Finals will take place as a LAN event in Chennai.

BGIS 2026 carries a massive prize pool of INR 4 crore, making the Grand Finals the most critical stage of the entire tournament. The team with the highest cumulative points across all Grand Finals matches will be crowned the BGIS 2026 Champion.

BGIS 2026 Survival Stage Date, Schedule, Venue, Teams, and Format

The BGIS 2026 Survival Stage date is March 16 and 17, 2026, taking place at the Tesseract Arena in Hyderabad. This two-day event is the last chance for 16 teams to earn a spot in the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals.

What Is the Survival Stage?

The Survival Stage is a knockout phase in BGIS 2026 that gives teams eliminated from the top 8 in the Semi Finals one final shot at reaching the Grand Finals. It is not a consolation round. The 8 teams who come out on top here go on to compete at the biggest LAN event of the Indian BGMI calendar.

Think of it as a second life. Teams that barely missed a direct Grand Finals spot can still make it, but the margin for error is zero.

The event is held at the same venue as the Semi Finals, the Tesseract Arena in Hyderabad, making it a back-to-back LAN experience for fans in the city.

Format Breakdown

The Survival Stage features 16 teams across 2 matchdays, with 6 matches played each day for a total of 12 matches. At the end of both days, the top 8 teams in the overall standings advance to the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals.

The format is straightforward: points from all 12 matches are accumulated, and the standings determine who qualifies. There are no second chances within this stage itself, so consistent performance across both days is critical.

How Teams Qualify for Survival Stage

Teams reach the Survival Stage after finishing outside the top 8 in the BGIS 2026 Semi Finals. The Semi Finals ran from March 12 to 15, 2026, also in Hyderabad, featuring 24 teams split into 3 groups of 8 in a Double Round Robin format.

The top 8 teams from the Semi Finals overall standings earned a direct Grand Finals spot. The remaining 16 teams dropped into the Survival Stage for a second shot.

Teams to Watch

Some of the most recognized names in Indian BGMI esports are competing in this phase. Teams like GodLike Esports, Team Soul, Orangutan, Revenant XSpark, K9 Esports, Phoenix, Nebula, and Team Tamilas were among the squads competing in the Semi Finals stage. Which of them ended up in the Survival Stage depends on the final Semi Finals standings.

What Comes After: Grand Finals

The 8 teams who survive this stage join the 8 direct qualifiers from the Semi Finals to form the final 16-team Grand Finals roster. The BGIS 2026 Grand Finals are scheduled for March 27 to 29, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.

The Grand Finals feature 18 total matches across 3 days (6 per day), with a prize pool of INR 2 crore on the line. This is a fully offline LAN event and marks the conclusion of the entire BGIS 2026 season that kicked off in January with open qualifiers.

Natus Vincere Wins ESL Pro League Season 23 Title

Natus Vincere is the winners of ESL Pro League Season 23, capping off an impressive run after a series of poor performances throughout the entirety of 2025. Claiming victory against an in-form Aurora side, NAVI proved to fans that they are back, and this victory will not only reinstate self-belief but also act as a benchmark for what this team can achieve if given time.

While it was difficult to explicitly predict a winner with both teams struggling to close matches as witnessed in past events, it was NAVI who stood out as the better team on the day, as Aurora failed to edge out against a brilliant NAVI side. The CIS roster has once again demonstrated that they remain among the elite teams in Counter-Strike esports despite a prolonged drop in form.

Having lost to the likes of Legacy and G2, NAVI were expected to bow out in the Group Stages before they picked up form to narrowly qualify for the playoffs. Beating MongolZ in a close affair, followed by domination of an in-form FUT side, NAVI built their confidence at every step before playing their best Counter-Strike in recent memory at the Grand Finals.

Aurora, meanwhile, deserves credit for an impressive tournament campaign. The squad battled through a competitive field to reach the grand final and showed flashes of the firepower and resilience that have made them one of the rising teams in the current Counter-Strike landscape. Despite falling short in the final, their deep run highlights the progress the team has made on the international stage.

Credit where it’s due, Aurora played a tough game, beating the likes of Astralis, G2, and Legacy, showing why they were the best team for the majority of the tournament before NAVI wiped the floor with them in the Grand Finals.

One can argue that NAVI reigned supreme while the likes of Falcons and Vitality are skipping the event, but the eye test tells that they are playing some of the best Counter-Strike that they have played in a long time. Blad3, for one, has done it again with his team building skills and tactical depth to find a winning formula for NAVI yet again.

Valorant Knockout Mode Revealed: Release Date, Mechanics & More

Riot Games has just revealed Knockout, Valorant’s newest game mode that’s set to hit the competitive shooter alongside the Season 2026 Act 2 update, and it looks like a blast for casual and hardcore players alike.

Knockout is a tactical, team-focused evolution of Team Deathmatch that joins the ever-expanding list of Valorant game modes less than a month after the Skirmish queues went live.

Unlike the TDM mode, Knockout in Valorant adopts a round-based elimination format, with the added twist that kills can resurrect fallen teammates. The teams line up behind a central barrier and have to organize coordinated pushes through multiple weapon phases to eliminate the enemy team.

According to Riot, the Knockout mode will help newer players get acquainted with trading scenarios and team coordination through frequent engagements, while also giving veterans a proving ground for tactical playmaking.

Valorant Knockout Mode Details

Here’s how a round of Knockout will play out in Valorant:

  • Similar to the TDM mode, two teams start the round in opposite spawn rooms with barriers up. Players are able to select loadout and communicate with teammates during the preparation phase.
  • Once the barrier drops, the teams push toward the center-line wall which separates the two teams’ territories.
  • Players are able to use abilities in this game mode.
  • Eliminating an enemy brings back a fallen teammate.
  • Crossing the central wall gives you a debuff.
  • Capturing orbs shifts the wall toward the enemy, giving you the territorial advantage, which consequently puts pressure on the enemy team.
  • Once a team is completely wiped out, the round ends.
  • There’s an overtime mechanic in place if rounds go on for too long.
  • The first team to win 4 rounds is crowned the winner.

Valorant Knockout Mode Release Date

As mentioned earlier, the new Knockout game mode in Valorant will officially release alongside the Season 2026 Act 2 update on March 18, 2026.
