ESIC Bans Multiple CS2 Pros in a Single Day for Match Fixing and Cheating

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has cracked down on yet another major match-fixing event in Counter-Strike 2 esports, issuing multiple bans and suspensions as a part of an ongoing investigation connected to betting irregularities and cheating, having already banned Mongolian side ATOX a few days ago.

The first case involves players from Team NOMERCY who were suspended temporarily amidst an ongoing ESIC investigation after players János “James8k” Fodor, Sreten “srtn1” Smiljanić, Oliver “kzy” Heck, Petar “perakokanje” Bešir, and Palkovics “playN” Tamás were scrutinised after suspicious bets linked to their matches surfaced.

Massive bets generating millions surfaced during the Roman Imperium Cup VII, where multiple bets worth $57,000 were placed against NOMERCY. These bets raised an alarm due to unusual betting patterns along with inconsistent in-game performances, which suggested a potential breach in integrity, prompting ESIC’s intervention in the matter.

The next incident moves to a worse situation where Egor “Zly” Polyakov has been punished with a lifetime ban after he admitted to using cheats. Joining him will be Dimitriy “Propleh” Senigov, Alexandr “ruler” Maximov, and Peter “Damiel” Markheev, who were handed a 5-year ban for the same misconduct, for which ESIC has yet to explain why there was a difference in punishment, with cooperation with the investigation as a point that triggered a softer verdict for the latter.

This wave of bans highlights how dedicated ESIC has been to maintaining the competitive integrity of esports, especially at the highest level, making the industry fairer through its actions. Targeting a range of misconduct from suspected match-fixing to blatant cheating, their zero-tolerance policy is making esports more enjoyable for everyone.

India’s Coaching Lineup Revealed for Esports Nations Cup 2026 Across Nine Titles

NODWIN Gaming has locked in its coaching roster for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 across nine titles, with the tournament set to open in Riyadh on November 2.

The ENC runs through November 29 and involves national teams from over 100 countries. NODWIN is India’s designated National Team Partner, handling squad assembly and the country’s overall campaign.

Moin Ejaz (NO_Chanc3) is the coach for the DOTA 2 team. He took home a bronze for India at the 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham. Rahul (Ayogi) handles BGMI after working with Blind Esports and Team SouL. His teams won BGMI Pro Series 2023, BGMI Masters Series Season 3, the Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, and BGIS 2026.

Abhishek Bajaj (GodspeedxD) runs the VALORANT program, with coaching credits at Reckoning, Bleed, Grayfox, and Velocity Esports. Pankaj Upadhyay (KAKA) will look after the League of Legends team. He’s one of the more experienced Indian players at the international level and has represented the country multiple times.

Filipino coach Steve Vitug (Dale) heads MOBA Legends: 5v5!, having led Omega Esports to a top-six World Championship finish in 2021 and Falcon Esports to the same result in 2023. Pratik Mehra (Aurum) coaches PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. He won PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019 with Fnatic and finished runner-up at PUBG Mobile India Series 2020.

Ashrit Goyal (notyAshritB) coaches Rainbow Six Siege, with a second-place finish at South Asia Nationals 2022 behind him. Nirjhar Mitra (jocse) takes Rocket League, having competed at the Asian Nations Cup qualifiers and the CEC 2022 regional finals. Indonesian coach Gradyano Valendy (Rinnqt) fills the Honor of Kings role after coaching Rex Regum Qeon through qualification runs for the Esports World Cup 2024 and the HoK World Championship 2024.

Rosters are due May 10, and announcements start mid-May. Open qualifier details for solo titles and the remaining team games are still to come.

Ayogi, Aurum, Godspeed Named Among India’s Coaches for Esports Nations Cup 2026

NODWIN Gaming, the official National Team Partner for India, has announced a heavyweight lineup of coaches to lead the country’s selection process for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026. The global tournament, set to debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 29, 2026, features a massive $20 million prize pool for athletes and coaches across 16 different competitive titles.

With India set to compete in all 16 titles, the appointment of these coaches marks a critical step in building the “Team India” rosters. The selection includes reigning champions, international veterans, and established tactical minds who will identify talent ahead of the May 10 roster submission deadline.

Ayogi to Lead BGMI Campaign

Rahul “Ayogi” has been appointed as the national coach for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). He enters this role following a highly successful period in the domestic circuit. Ayogi is best known for guiding teams like iQOO Soul (Team Soul) and Blind Esports to major championship titles.

His recent achievements include leading iQOO Soul to a victory at the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals. His experience as an analyst and manager is expected to be a core asset in building a championship ready roster for the Riyadh event.

Aurum and Godspeed Secure Key Roles

The coaching lineup also includes prominent figures for other high profile shooter titles. Pratik “Aurum” Mehra will take charge as the coach for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Aurum is a veteran in the scene, previously known for his stint with Fnatic where he secured a win at the PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019 and a runner up finish at the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020.

For VALORANT, Abhishek “GodspeedxD” Bajaj has been named the head coach. He brings a strong coaching resume that includes winning domestic titles with organizations such as Velocity Esports, Revenant Esports, and Bleed Esports. His role will involve identifying five core players and two substitutes while following strict rules regarding club representation per national team.

Elite Coaching Roster Across Major Titles

The confirmed coaching lineup features experts from both the domestic and international scenes, ensuring a structured approach to India’s campaign:

  • DOTA 2: Moin “NO_Chanc3” Ejaz, a 33-year-old veteran and the first Indian player to reach 7000 MMR, will lead the squad. He previously secured a historic bronze medal for India at the Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022.
  • VALORANT: Abhishek “GodspeedxD” Bajaj, who currently serves as the head coach for Revenant XSpark, will oversee the national team. His resume includes winning multiple South Asia Challengers splits and reaching the Pacific Ascension tournament in 2025.
  • League of Legends: Pankaj “KAKA” Upadhyay, recognized as one of the country’s top players with extensive international representation, will manage the team.
  • PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS: Pratik “Aurum” Mehra, known for leading Fnatic to a win at PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019, takes charge of the PC squad.
  • Rocket League: Nirjhar “jocse” Mitra, who won the Esportz Premier Series 2022 and represented India at the Commonwealth Esports Championships, will guide the Rocket League campaign.
  • Rainbow Six Siege: Ashrit “notyAshritB” Goyal brings his experience from South Asia Nationals and Asia Pacific competitions to the national side.
  • International Expertise: Steve “Dale” Vitug (Philippines) will coach MOBA Legends: 5v5!, while Gradyano “Rinnqt” Valendy (Indonesia) has been brought in for Honor of Kings.

For titles not covered by specific team-based coaching appointments, including solo-player games like Chess and Trackmania, India will hold full open qualifiers to identify representatives. Official roster announcements will begin in mid-May following the May 10 submission.

How to Get Emma Frost Hellfire Gala Skin in Marvel Rivals

The highly anticipated Marvel Rivals Hellfire Gala 2026 event is finally here, and along with it come a ton of rewards, including but not limited to a free Emma Frost Gala Glam skin that can be unlocked if you know how to. If you are a fan of hers and are looking to get it, here is everything you need to know.

The Emma Frost skin is brought to the game as a part of the limited-time event; therefore, it makes the window to earn it extremely limited. If you are interested in getting it, then make sure to participate in Phase 2 of the event, which is set to start on April 30th, 2026.

Getting the skin is straightforward, and all it takes is just consistent gameplay. Players need to grind hard in that period and earn XP, which can then be converted to an in-game currency called Compute Power. This currency, in turn, can be used in a tile-matching mini-game inside Marvel Rivals, where matching two tiles earns you rewards, and the Emma Frost skin is one of them.

It goes without saying that Emma Frost’s skin will not be easy to get, as it will take long hours worth of grinding to get enough XP, which earns you the skin. Also, the tile game can be quite a tall order, so that might take up some time as well.

While Emma Frost’s skin might be the one on the radar for most, the event features cool skins for other popular heroes like Moon Knight, Phoenix, and many more, but you would need a Pass for that. The Hellfire Gala is quite the event, so make the most out of it and grab all the rare skins that you have been eyeing.

Xbox and Discord Teaming Up Again for Game Pass

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma confirmed on April 22, 2026, that Xbox and Discord are partnering again, this time with a specific focus on making Game Pass more flexible. No specific features were announced, but Sharma said players may start seeing “code in the wild” ahead of a formal reveal.

Sharma posted on X: “For years, Xbox and Discord have worked together to make it easier for players to connect, chat, and play across devices. We’re teaming up again as we continue to make Game Pass more flexible for our players. Some of you might start to see some code in the wild, and we will share more details with you all soon!”

Discord CTO and Co-Founder Stanislav Vishnevskiy also posted on X, saying the two companies have “built cool things for players together” and are now partnering to make Game Pass more flexible, adding: “Stay tuned!”

The Xbox-Discord History

Xbox and Discord first partnered in 2022 to bring Discord voice chat to Xbox consoles. A more recent collaboration added the ability to view Discord streams directly from consoles.

As recently as April 1, 2026, Xbox and Discord ran a promotion where Game Pass Ultimate members could claim one month of Discord Nitro. Existing members were not eligible.

The Discord tease landed one day after Microsoft lowered the price of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox also removed Call of Duty from its day-one Game Pass lineup as part of the same restructure. The price reduction to Game Pass Ultimate is enough, with some left over, to cover a full year’s purchase of the newest Call of Duty.

What Players Are Speculating

No official details exist yet on what the partnership will involve. The most obvious speculation points to Discord Nitro being bundled with Game Pass, possibly as a pick-and-choose package option.

Reports earlier in 2026 pointed to Microsoft exploring ways to bundle third-party services with Game Pass. Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters previously told The Information that he and Sharma had discussed ideas for subscription bundles between the two companies.

Two internal Game Pass tier experiments have been mentioned in recent reporting: a lower-cost tier focused only on first-party Xbox titles, and a bundled tier that could pair Game Pass with Netflix. A Discord Nitro bundle would fit the same logic.

Internally, Xbox is reportedly experimenting with new tiers, including a “Triton” plan focused on first-party titles and a “Duet” bundle that could include services like Netflix.

Discord’s own response to Sharma’s post was a single word: “Soon.” No timeline has been confirmed by either company. Sharma said more details will be shared once the rollout moves forward.

CS2 Cache Return Looks Imminent After Latest Tease

Cache, one of the most anticipated CS2 maps of all time, is likely to make its return to the shooter within the next few weeks, based on a recent tease by Valve.

While CS2 players have been requesting Valve to add the fan-favorite map back to the map pool ever since the game’s launch, the anticipation reached an all-time high recently following a series of leaks and teases potentially hinting at Cache’s return.

However, a new tease from Valve itself has added some real weight to the speculation, with many in the community now believing that Cache’s long-awaited return might just be imminent.

CS2 Devs Potentially Hint at Cache Return

Earlier today, the official CS2 X handle changed its profile banner to a cryptic image, sending the community into a frenzy. While a banner change might not seem like much on the surface, fans were swift to notice that the new CS2 banner seems to resemble a spot near the T-Spawn from Cache closely.

Valve did a similar tease at the time of Train’s addition to the CS2 map pool. The X banner for CS2 was changed to a similar cryptic image from the map on November 5, 2024, and Train was officially added to the game just a week later on November 14.

As a result, a portion of the community strongly believes that after years of waiting, Cache will finally be added to the CS2 map pool in the coming weeks.

If history is anything to go by, the release of Cache in CS2 might be closer than you think.

Latest Counter-Strike 2 Update Improves Animgraph 2 Viewmodes, Adds Trade Restrictions for CS2 Items

Valve continues to fine-tune the Animgraph 2 animation system in CS2 with a series of updates aimed at polishing the framework while also introducing various other miscellaneous improvements to the shooter.

The April 23rd CS2 update, while not a major one, adds a few key changes that players should know about before queuing for their next game. Alongside some improvements to the game’s viewmodels, the latest update also brings with it a small gameplay change and an important restriction on trade offers containing CS2 items.

For starters, ground smoothing has been adjusted at locations where the player could stand on very thin ledges. Other than that, some improper character texture assignments have also been corrected.

Lastly, moving forward, trade offers containing CS2 items will be limited to 1,000 items.

CS2 April 23 Patch Notes

Valve has officially revealed the patch notes for the April 23 CS2 update in a blog post. Fans can check out all the changes below:
