How to Catch Gigantamax Pokémon in Pokémon Go?

0

Gigantamax Pokémon are massive, powerful forms of Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Similar to Dynamax Pokémon, which were introduced in the main series of games set in the Galar region in Pokémon Sword and Shield, Gigantamax Pokémon can be encountered in Max Battles.

However, while the Dynamax form simply increases a Pokémon’s size, the more powerful Gigantamax transformation also changes their appearance and grants them unique G-Max moves.

We are trying to explain the mechanics of Gigantamax Pokémon in Pokémon Go and want to provide tips for obtaining more Gigantamax Pokémon, along with a complete list of all recognized Gigantamax Pokémon to date.

Gigantamax Pokémon shares many traits with Dynamax Pokémon, serving as an alternative form available in Max Battles. As a result, you cannot Gigantamax Pokémon that you already have in your inventory, even if they are Dynamax Pokémon.

These unique encounters can be found at Power Spots during certain time periods, and they are among the toughest challenges in Pokémon Go, requiring a large number of trainers to join in. Once captured, Gigantamax Pokémon can participate in Max Battles, which include fights against both Dynamax Pokémon and other Gigantamax Pokémon.

Spotting a Gigantamax Pokémon is easy; simply look for the special symbol in your collection or check the Pokémon’s stats screen, where you’ll find a “Gigantamax” dropdown located under their weight, height, and type details, as shown in the previous image.

Just like Dynamax Pokémon, you can unlock three Max Moves in addition to the standard Fast and Charged moves, including a special G-Max attack unique to that form. At the moment, the only way to obtain Gigantamax Pokémon is through Max Battles—first you battle them and then you can capture them using the catchphrase that follows. Because of their challenge level, Gigantamax Pokémon are classified as ‘six star encounters,’ allowing up to 40 players to take them on at the same time (though trainers will be split into teams of four, as shown in the previous image).

Even with this larger capacity, make sure to bring your best counters at their maximum levels for a fair fight, as reports from The Silph Road subreddit during the launch weekend suggested that in some instances, 20-30 trainers were not enough.

In all Max Battles, only Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon are allowed. To participate in Gigantamax battles, you need Max Particles, which cost 800 MP each time you enter (if you don’t win, you’ll get your entry fee back).

If you’re looking to boost your Max Particles, during the first two Gigantamax weekends (October 26th-27th and from October 31st-November 1st), by attending a Gigantamax meetup hosted by a local Community Ambassador on the Campfire app which will earn you 800 Max Particles.

This reward is expected to be available on future weekends as well, so make sure to log into Campfire ahead of time. Gigantamax Pokémon will only appear at Power Spots for a limited time, usually on weekends or during special events. You can check the upcoming Gigantamax schedule at the bottom of this page.

Gigantamax Battle Rewards

Pokemon Go Gigantamax

After finishing the battle, you’ll receive the following rewards:

  • 25,000 XP
  • Consumable items (such as Golden RazzBerries and XL Candy)
  • Premier Balls (to catch the Gigantamax Pokémon you just faced)

Just like in Dynamax Max Battles, you can double your rewards—including the number of Premier Balls for the next catch phase—by spending PokéCoins.

Additionally, similar to Dynamax Max Battles, you will have the chance to:

  • Place a Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon in the Power Spot, which will assist others in their Max Battles temporarily before returning to you. If this Pokémon is Gigantamax, there’s a chance that Dynamax Pokémon may appear around that Power Spot.
  • Capture the Gigantamax Pokémon you battled in the Max Battle, using the Premier Balls you received, before it has a chance to escape.

A list of Gigantamax Pokémon and the schedule in Pokémon Go

So far, the set of definitely available Gigantamax Pokémon’s list has these following names:

  • Gigantamax Venusaur (appearing Oct. 26-27)
  • Gigantamax Charizard (appearing Oct. 26-27)
  • Gigantamax Blastoise (appearing Oct. 26-27)
  • Gigantamax Gengar (appearing Oct. 31-Nov. 3 as part of the Halloween event)
  • Gigantamax Toxtricity (appearing Nov. 23-24 as part of the Go Wild Area: Global event)

If you can’t make it to any of the events mentioned, don’t worry—they will come back to Pokémon Go eventually. You might also be able to trade your other Pokémon for Gigantamax Pokémons as far as someone is open to sharing theirs.)

How to Use the Knife in Black Ops 6?

0

Knives are incredibly handy in Call of Duty but they remained underused. Not only do you get a one-shot kill on a lot of occasions, but it also helps you run faster, walking into tight places and most importantly in close combat.

Players often tend to keep the knife aside given the melee mechanics for COD lets you use the bottom of your gun to hit an enemy but a knife brings its own advantages. Looking cool is one thing but a tactical application of your knife can get you out of pretty tight situations.

How to Use the Knife in Black Ops 6?

The keys for using Black Ops 6 knives on different platforms are mentioned below:

  • Xbox Series X|S: Hold the right-stick button.
  • PlayStation 4 & 5: Hold the R3 button in, or the circle button if you use the tactical button layout.
  • PC: Hold V.

These would be the default settings unless you have made changes.

Try to make it a habit of using the knife when the situation calls for it, map to a more convenient button, and see the difference in your own gameplay. Using it to its full potential will definitely bring about a significant improvement to your game.

Nade Dink Fixed in Latest CS2 Update

The latest CS2 update has addressed an incredibly annoying issue where a grenade would give away the position of players by producing a “dink” when coming in contact. This issue was pointed out by ropz and finally, it has been addressed.

In competitive gaming, the tiniest of details can derail even the most well-structured things, and glitches like this open the avenue for unfair advantages for teams even though it might be unintentional. Valve has understood the gravity of the situation ahead of the Major and has dropped a fix in little time since it surfaced.

The full patch notes are below:

MAPS

  • Vertigo
    • Fixed a bad collision interaction between grenades and a prop.
    • Fixed a wall bang exploit.
  • Mills
    • Updated to the latest version from the Community Workshop (Update Notes).
    • Added localization strings for location callouts.

MISC

  • Fixed mouselook inconsistencies when game render dimensions are different from game window dimensions.
  • Fixed erroneous target aim punch animation during client-side shooting.
  • Fixed erroneous Zeus shock effect during client-side shooting.
  • Fixed a bug where Zeus headshots wouldn’t emit the death yelp.

UI

  • Prior Major results are now available in the Majors tab in the Watch menu.

It is amazing to see Valve respond to the issues pointed out by the community and it would have been nicer if they repeated this behavior more often. As things stand, Valve has fixed most of the problems with CS2 since its launch and it would be safe to assume that the remaining issues would be ironed out.

Deadlock Adds 6 New Hero Labs Characters: Abilities Explained

0

If you haven’t checked out the latest patch notes for Valve’s hero shooter Deadlock, you’re missing out on a lot. The October 24th Deadlock update has introduced six new heroes to the game via the experimental ‘Hero Labs’ game mode alongside a plethora of other exciting changes.

While the six new Deadlock heroes aren’t available to play on the ranked mode of the game yet, players are free to try them out on the Sandbox mode or the newly added Hero Labs game mode on specific queue times.

If you’re looking to know more about the new Deadlock heroes and their kits, we have you covered. In this article, we take a look at the detailed abilities of the six new Deadlock characters.

6 New Deadlock Heroes: Abilities Explained

Deadlock Ranked Mode

The six new heroes that the last Deadlock update has added to the game include Holliday, Calico, Wrecker, Fathom, Viper, and Magician.

Let’s check out the detailed abilities of all the new Deadlock characters.

Calico

  1. Sekhmet’s Spirit

Send a Spirit Cat forward that grabs targets in its way. Grabbing a Hero will cause an explosion soon after.

Press 1 to manually create the explosion.

  1. Pounce

Leap at a target to inflict Light Melee damage and slow on nearby enemies.

You may use Pounce on a second target if used within 3s.

  1. Nekomata Ward

Deploy a Statue to track enemies in an area. The Ward will also attack enemies recently damaged by Calico. Targeted enemies have reduced healing and heal Calico when damaged.

  1. Queen of Shadows

Mark your enemies and bathe yourself in shadow to strengthen your attacks and make yourself Invisible. Attacking will only temporarily reveal you. Hitting enemies with Melee damage will reduce their bullet resist (stacking).

Fathom

  1. Scalding Spray

Spray scalding water in a cone ahead of you. You build up bonus weapon damage as the spray damages an enemy hero.

  1. Breach

Launch forward, damaging all enemies near where you land and knocking them into the air.

  1. Bloodletting

Take only a portion of incoming damage immediately and defer the rest to be taken over time. Activate to clear a portion of the deferred damage.

  1. Reefdweller Harpoon

Throw a harpoon that latches to a surface and pulls you in. While hanging attached to the harpoon surface, you are invisible and invulnerable. Enemies that look directly at Fathom reveal the invisibility.

Passive: While out of combat and hidden on the minimap, heal a portion of your max health every second.

Holliday

  1. Powder Keg

Place a barrel that explodes when shot, or on landing after launched via melee attack or bounce pad. Has a minimum arm time before it can explode.

  1. Bounce Pad

Drop a bounce pad in the world that sends you and other heroes flying. You will stomp down on landing, dealing damage to any nearby enemies.

  1. Crackshot

Headshots deal bonus Weapon damage and apply a Fading Slow. This effect can only occur when off cooldown.

Crackshot ignores range damage fall-off.

  1. Spirit Lasso

Grab an enemy with your lasso and drag them along behind you. The enemy is stunned and Astro is slowed slightly during the lasso.

Lasso duration is paused for 2s during the first usage of a bounce pad.

Magician

1) Vexing Bolt

Fire a bolt of magic that deals with Spirit Damage and applies a Fading Slow.

Press 1 to redirect the bolt toward your crosshairs.

2) Spectral Assistant

Summon an Assistant at the target location. They mimic your attacks, throwing cards that deal with Spirit Damage.

Press 2 to swap positions with your Assistant.

3) Rabbit Hex

Hex a target, transforming it into a Rabbit. Rabbits are smaller and move faster, but receive a Damage Amp and cannot perform most actions.

[Cast] Hex target hero.

[Alt-Cast] Hex yourself.

Hex does not interrupt abilities.

4) Paradoxical Swap

Fire a projectile that swaps your position with the target enemy hero. While the effect occurs, you gain spirit lifesteal and the enemy takes damage over time.

Viper

1) Hook Blade

Throw a blade, dealing Spirit Damage. The blade then hooks back, applying Spirit Damage again and applying a Slow.

Hookblade additionally removes Petrify before dealing damage.

2) Lethal Venom

Inject a target with lethal venom. After a delay the venom triggers, dealing Spirit Damage. The damage is increased by the target’s missing health.

Reapplying Venom refreshes the duration.

3) Slither

You have increased Slide Distance, can Slide up hills, and can turn faster while Sliding.

4) Petrify

Create a hexed area on the ground. After a delay, ALL units in the cylindrical area are Petrified. Enemies also suffer Spirit Damage.

Petrified units block all damage, but cannot take action.

Petrified units break free after blocking enough damage.

Wrecker

1) Wrecking Ball

Create a large ball of scrap that can be thrown, damaging and stunning anything it hits. The ball takes time to create and you move slower while carrying it.

2) Consume

Stuns an enemy trooper or NPC, damaging them while held. A successful kill provides a fire rate bonus and restores a Bio Blast charge. This bonus stacks independently.

3) Bio Blast

Shoots out a blast of consumed remains, damaging and slowing enemies. Multiple hits increase the slow.

4) Astral Walk

Launch a flying shadow copy of yourself that you control, teleporting your original body to wherever it lands. The teleport explosion slows enemies and deals damage based on how long you are flying.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Breaks Records with Massive Player Count on Launch Day

0

The new “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” game has hit the ground running, quickly becoming a fan favorite. On its first day alone, it brought in over 229,000 players on Steam, easily beating the first-day numbers of its recent predecessors, “Modern Warfare 3” and “Modern Warfare 2”. These older games had drawn 190,273 and 262,875 players, respectively.

Developed by Treyarch, this latest game in the Call of Duty series features an exciting story and fun gameplay, winning over gamers everywhere. This boost is a big deal because player interest in the series had been dropping since “Modern Warfare 3” came out last year, with the average number of players falling to about 57,376.

As we head into the weekend, “Black Ops 6” is among the top five most-played games on Steam, just behind “PUBG“. It’s also more popular right now than other well-known games like “Deadlock” and “Apex Legends”. This marks a strong comeback for the game on digital platforms.

Additionally, “Black Ops 6” is the first Call of Duty game to launch on Xbox Game Pass on the same day as its worldwide release. Thanks to Microsoft buying Activision Blizzard, anyone with a Game Pass can play it on Xbox or PC without paying extra. This could attract even more players.

The game isn’t just popular in terms of the number of players. It’s also a hit on Twitch, where it was the most-watched game with over 370,000 viewers at launch. The high numbers of both players and viewers suggest that “Black Ops 6” could keep up this strong performance over its opening weekend and beyond.

This great start shows that Microsoft and Activision really understand what gamers want, offering an experience that hits the mark and could shape the future of the Call of Duty series.

Mr Beast’s Lunchly Faces Mold Controversy: What You Need to Know

0

Recently, a new snack pack called Lunchly has been very popular. It was made by Mr. Beast along with famous YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul. These snacks were supposed to be fun and easy to eat, with cool things like drinks and a Feastable bar. But soon after they started selling them in September 2024, people found mold in them, which is a big health worry.

Lunchly snacks were supposed to be like the fun lunch kits you might have at school—Turkey Stack ‘Ems, Pizza, and Fiesta Nachos. But when Rosanna Pansino, a well-known YouTuber, opened a pizza snack and found mold, it got a lot of people talking. This wasn’t just one bad box; other people found mold too, even though they kept their snacks in the fridge like they were supposed to.

The people who made Lunchly have had different reactions. Mr. Beast hasn’t said anything yet. Logan Paul tried to joke about it, and KSI didn’t really address the main problem. Lots of people, including other famous YouTubers like DanTDM and xQc, are really upset. They don’t think it’s right to sell something like this, especially to kids who look up to them.

This whole thing shows that when YouTubers sell products, they need to be really careful that their stuff is safe to use. It’s super important to make sure everything is made well and safe to eat, especially when lots of young fans are buying them. Everyone is watching to see how Mr. Beast and his friends will fix this problem.

Ubisoft Shuts Down Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Team, Future Sequel in Doubt

0

Ubisoft has made a big choice about one of its games that wasn’t doing so well, called “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.” Because the game didn’t sell as much as they hoped, they stopped the team that was making it. This means that the next game people were hoping for might not happen now, which has made a lot of fans very curious about what’s going to happen next with this famous game series.

“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” came out in January and was different from the older games. It was an adventure game with a new hero named Sargon. People liked the new ideas in the game, but not enough people bought it. This led Ubisoft to end the project.

A gamer from France first guessed that Ubisoft would stop the team, and Ubisoft confirmed it later. This news made a lot of people talk about it, including Michael Douse from Larian Studios. He didn’t like the way Ubisoft tried to sell the game and thinks a better plan could have helped the game sell more and maybe even get a sequel.

Because of what happened with “The Lost Crown” and some other games that didn’t do well, Ubisoft has changed its plan. They said that all new games they make will be available on Steam right away. They’re also going to take more time to make “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” better.

As this news spreads, Ubisoft is trying to get back on track after seeing their stock prices go down. Everyone is watching to see how they handle these tough times, hoping they can get back to being one of the top game companies.

xQc Faces New Lawsuit from Ex-Girlfriend Adept with New Claims

0

In a surprising new development, the well-known Twitch streamer xQc, also known as Félix Lengyel, is in the middle of another legal issue with his ex-girlfriend and fellow streamer, Adept. This new lawsuit in California brings up fresh claims of wrongdoing, adding more trouble to their already stormy past.

xQc and Adept, whose real name is Samantha, have had a very public and rocky relationship. Since they broke up in 2022, they have been to court several times. Earlier claims against each other involved serious accusations but were thrown out by a judge in Texas earlier this year.

Adept’s latest legal action in California brings up some old complaints and adds new ones, including an accusation that xQc hurt her during a disagreement. This incident supposedly led to the police coming and an emergency order being put in place. These new allegations make the lawsuit even more serious.

Adept is asking for a lot of money in damages. She wants $245,000 for certain complaints, and with extra fines, the total could be over $1 million. xQc also mentioned that Adept asked for a $10 million settlement, showing how high the stakes are in this fight.

This legal battle has affected both streamers’ careers. Adept says she has lost sponsorships and viewers because of xQc’s fans. xQc, on the other hand, is upset about the ongoing lawsuits and doubts why the court keeps allowing them.

Fans of xQc and Adept have been very active in discussing this case online. xQc’s fans have strongly supported him, while Adept’s followers believe her side of the story. The public nature of their breakup has only increased public interest and opinions.

In recent live streams, xQc has openly talked about the lawsuit, calling it “sad” and hard to believe. He feels he has already defended himself successfully against past claims and sees these new allegations as just more of the same old issues.

The fight between xQc and Adept is still going on, with new claims and a lot of money at risk. As things move forward, this case will likely keep grabbing the attention of their fans and others.
