Little Nightmares III Showcase Announced by Bandai Namco

0

Although the E3 season has faded, major game events continue to emerge, and the next one comes from Bandai Namco. The publisher has announced that Little Nightmares III will receive its spotlight presentation on June 24 at 12 PM PDT (3 PM EDT or June 25 at 12:30 AM IST). This standalone showcase surprises many fans, but it’s a welcome opportunity for the eerie platformer to shine.

The sequel to the psychological horror game drops four years following Little Nightmares II (2021) and was originally announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August 2023. Initially set for a release window of 2024, the game was officially delayed to 2025 to give it time to be polished. Although a haunting story trailer was released in October 2024, showcasing its eerie visuals and co-op design, there has been no official word since then.

The showcase threatens to dispel lingering uncertainty by potentially showing off an official release date and perhaps even providing a playable demo. Bandai Namco’s decision to provide the game with its showcase instead of hosting it as part of a big event like Summer Games Fest is a sign of something big on the way, as it was widely believed the game would premiere during a Geoff Keighley–hosted showcase.

One of the most significant changes for this entry is the change in the development studio. Tarsier Studios, the developers of the first two games, left the franchise after its acquisition by Embracer Group in 2019. The series is now being taken care of by Supermassive Games, the British developers from Guildford responsible for narrative-driven horror games like Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and The Quarry. Supermassive also developed the improved edition of Little Nightmares II, laying the groundwork for tackling the complete third installment.

Little Nightmares III follows two new protagonists, Low, sporting a raven mask, and Alone, with pigtails, through “The Nowhere” and out of the foreboding Spiral, a series of deformed, hellish worlds. Players will be able to play the game alone with an AI partner or invite a friend online for co-op, a new feature to the franchise. The game will venture into varied and haunting environments from spooky factories and sinister funfairs to open deserts swarming with giant, monstrous beetles and ghostly giants.

Supermassive Games, currently part of Nordisk Film since 2022, employs around 350 people and boasts a rich heritage of developing interactive horror titles. Although seeing one veteran horror studio inherit from another is uncommon, Supermassive’s previous collaboration on Little Nightmares II and their superior record in the genre make them an apt inheritor.

BLAST Open Season 2 Group Stage Moves Online

BLAST has announced that the group stage of its forthcoming BLAST Open Season 2 will become an online event, with the decisive finals hosted live in London’s OVO Arena Wembley. Taking place from September 5–7, the LAN stage will comprise the top three teams from each of the two groups of online play.

The move to take the group stage online is a departure from the structure employed at the first BLAST Open of the year. Earlier, BLAST held its group games at the Copenhagen Studios prior to taking the top six teams to Lisbon for a live playoff stage. The reason behind the change, whether it is logistical, budgetary, or competitive, has not been publicly mentioned by the organizers.

Some players pointed out that the change affects Valve Regional Standings (VRS), essentially making what used to be an open public LAN opener turn into a closed online qualifying tournament. The online mode gives gravity to these matches, making them critical in shaping which teams qualify for the Wembley finals.

As soon as the group stage is over, spectators will automatically anticipate BLAST Rivals, which is bound to be the sole complete LAN event halfway through the season. Scheduled for November 10–16 at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld‑Arena, Rivals will host eight teams competing entirely on-stage.

The Season 2 group stage online is set to take place on August 27. Sixteen teams will compete, twelve will qualify directly through Valve’s VRS rankings, and the last four spots will be secured through BLAST Rising regional competitions in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.

Ahead of Valve’s reforms to tournament formats in 2025, BLAST went the whole way with an open-circuit model. All Open has sixteen teams: twelve ranked highest by VRS and four regional qualifier teams. Combining double-elimination brackets online with big-stakes LAN finals is now BLAST’s trademark.

Prize pools across events have remained consistent, with each Open offering around $400,000. The finals in London follow this model, matching earlier iterations, while BLAST Bounty tournaments (held in Rome and Malta during this cycle) award $500,000.

This calendar ensures global esports engagement year-round: major European LAN finals in mid-year, a peak LAN event in Asia this November, and online stages that feed into those showdowns.

PaiN Kicks Out Furia From Blast.tv Austin Major 2025

In the Brazilian derby set for the quarter-finals of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the young guns of paiN outlasted a veteran-stacked FURIA side to reach the semi-finals. Clearly, the underdogs coming into the series, paiN has pulled off the second upset of the day, which was also the biggest win the history of the organization, and it was anything but smooth.

VETO

  • paiN removed Train
  • FURIA removed Ancient
  • paiN picked Nuke
  • FURIA picked Anubis
  • FURIA removed Mirage
  • paiN removed Dust2
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Nuke; Pick: paiN; Winner: FURIA

Starting on the defense, FURIA had a solid start to Nuke as paiN found it too hard to break their defense, but did manage to rope in 4 rounds before ending the first half. Despite paiN trying their best, the FURIA offense was too sharp for a more inexperienced side as they steamrolled their way to victory. With little experience behind him, molodoy managed to top the charts with a 1.44 IR and 19 kills to his name as FURIA dominated paiN to open the series.

Map 2: Anubis; Pick: FURIA; Winner: paiN

Starting on the offense, paiN managed to pull off the impossible and secure 9 rounds, putting FURIA on the back foot before moving to the defense. Having a big lead of 9-3, paiN had room for error as FURIA found back leading to both teams trading rounds before paiN edged out a win with a 13-8 scoreline. As paiN had their backs against the wall, it was their captain in dav1deuS who led from the front with 19 kills and an IR of 1.54, making sure the series goes to the final map.

Map 3: Inferno; Pick: Decider: Winner: paiN

YEKINDAR’s powerful start to the first half took FURIA to an early lead, but paiN, despite taking a beating, managed to secure 5 rounds to make the game more competitive moving into the second half of the final map. Despite being behind, paiN were the first to reach the series point as FURIA found them needing a comeback, which they pulled off, thus taking the game to overtime. Despite choking 3 rounds in regulation, the inexperienced paiN side let a flawless overtime run to win all of the rounds and secure their place in the semi-finals.

Not only did paiN manage to win the Brazilian derby, but they did so by beating the biggest names of the region, FalleN and KSCERATO. Having secured the biggest win in the organization’s history, they have secured the highest placement in a CS2 Major by any Brazilian team. While one can argue they have had an easy path, waiting for them in the semi-finals will be the winner of FaZe vs. MongolZ, and that will be a challenge of a whole new level.

In this article, we will take a look at the expected release date for Marvel Rivals Season 3.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Release Date

While NetEase has yet to officially confirm the release date for Marvel Rivals Season 3, we can make an educated guess based on the launch patterns of previous seasons.

The devs have previously confirmed that Marvel Rivals Seasons are expected to last for around three months. For the same reason, it’s safe to assume that  Marvel Rivals Season 3 will drop roughly 1.5 months after the release of the mid-season update for Season 2.

Since Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 kicked off on May 30, 2025, it’s reasonable to expect that Season 3 will begin around July 11, 2025.

The Marvel Rivals servers are likely to be taken down for maintenance as the devs ship out the major update to the live servers.

While not much has been revealed regarding the new content in the upcoming season, NetEase is likely to release the Marvel Rivals Season 3 patch notes within the next few weeks.

Luckily, there are a number of ways for you to check out the Marvel Rivals server status and identify whether there’s a problem with the game servers or your internet connection is to blame.

Is Marvel Rivals Down Right Now?

If you’re experiencing connection issues when trying to log into Marvel Rivals, then there’s a good chance that the game servers are down.

Although Marvel Rivals servers remain online most of the time, they can temporarily be taken down by NetEase for planned maintenance or major patch deployments.

If that’s the case, your best bet would be to wait for the devs to bring the servers back up since there’s nothing you can do to play Marvel Rivals when it is down.

That said, connectivity issues on your end can also sometimes be mistaken for Marvel Rivals’ servers being down.

In any case, you should always check the Marvel Rivals server status before jumping to conclusions.

How To Check Marvel Rivals Server Status?

The best way to check the Marvel Rivals server status is by checking the game’s social media handles, joining its official Discord server, and via third-party platforms.

Server downtimes are generally announced by the Marvel Rivals X handle prior to the scheduled maintenance. If there’s no post mentioning any scheduled maintenance, you can check third-party platforms like Downdetector to see if other players are reporting similar issues.

If there’s no server outage but you’re still unable to connect to Marvel Rivals, you should try restarting your internet connection to see if it fixes the issue.

How to Get Battle Bus SUV in Fortnite?

Fortnite gamers are all too familiar with odd cosmetic unlocks through the item shop or battle pass, but the Battle Bus SUV skin is different. This awesome vehicle look can only be obtained through Rocket League, and its accessibility is dependent on a specific requirement.

How to Get Battle Bus SUV in Fortnite?

First, go to Rocket League and acquire the Titanium White Battle Bus to get the Battle Bus appearance in Fortnite. Simply having any iteration of the rooftop-van type Battle Bus won’t do—you have to have the Titanium White one. While the original Battle Bus was made available during Rocket League’s 2020 Llama‑Rama event, only the white-coated iteration is assured to qualify for the Fortnite cosmetic.

Acquiring the Titanium White body was easy: it was made available for free in Rocket League’s item store on June 8, 2023, and is still available as a limited-time item. Players just went to the Epic Games Store or accessed the in-game additional content page to add it to their collection.

Epic Games officially confirmed that only the players who owned that particular skin witnessed the latter appearing in Fortnite—none other qualify. Although reports of certain players getting the skin late were present, it started rolling out on June 18, 2025, for players who qualified. The rollout came after the claim window closed, which ended on June 13, 2025.

That leaves, as of now, only one way of getting the Battle Bus SUV design through Rocket League—having purchased the Titanium White version before the June 13 deadline. There has been no official workaround provided by Epic for players who were late, but people look forward to a solution soon.

There is increasing speculation among Fortnite fans that Epic will be solving this problem. Some think the skin can come back through free quests that are vehicle-based, as suggested by previous leaks. Others hope the skin might appear in the item shop—a path frequently utilized for uncommon cosmetics.

If Battle Bus were to ever be bought directly, Epic would likely make it cost as much as other premium SUVs, approximately 2,000 V-Bucks, complete with themed decals, coordinating wheels, and the vehicle model.

How to Get the Storm Claws in Fortnite?

Fortnite‘s Super Season is reaching new extremes with Marvel-like vigor. In addition to gauntlets and energized Sprites, the stage is now set for the mighty Storm Claws, an epic-level ability that is unlocked solely via Haylee Skye’s Storm Beast Pom-Poms.

Read on below for a detailed analysis on procuring and using this terrifying power, including pro tips to take your gameplay to the next level.

How to Get the Storm Claws in Fortnite?

Released on June 18, 2025, the Storm Beast Pom-Poms are a limited-time hero item. They are available through a range of in-game channels.

You’ll most commonly find the Pom-Poms inside chests across the map, particularly in Academy Stands and Academy Tech Lab bunkers. They can also appear as random floor loot but are much rarer that way. Additionally, Hero Loot Caches, which unlock at B-rank or higher Hero Rank, occasionally drop the Pom-Poms.

How to Get the Storm Claws in Fortnite

To get it guaranteed, you can buy the Pom-Poms from Haylee Skye, who is found at Pumped Power in the map’s northeast area. She offers them for sale at 400 gold bars. As an added bonus, you can also recruit Haylee Skye as a Heavy Specialist, an NPC ally who follows behind you and deals explosive damage.

While buying is reliable, it’s smarter to prioritize looting Academy locations or Hero Caches to conserve your gold for other late-game resources.

Note: Storm Beast Pom-Poms are not available in Ranked modes. You’ll need to stick to unranked playlists to access this ability.

After you equip the Storm Beast Pom-Poms, you’re able to activate the Storm Claws ability, shifting into the Storm Beast, a formidable, dexterous form with an independent health bar and special attributes.

The shift has a brief shield increase, providing you with extra protection while you’re in beast mode. The Storm Beast possesses an independent health bar, which takes damage during the course of your transformation, keeping you alive for longer in close combat.

Though changed, you will be able to run faster, jump over large distances, and execute vicious melee combos. The power gauge seen at the lower left side of your screen gradually runs out when using your attacking abilities but remains whole when you’re just running around or jumping.

How To Get Human Torch Future Foundation Skin for Free in Marvel Rivals?

The Human Torch Future Foundation skin is one of the several free cosmetics that NetEase is giving out to Marvel Rivals players with the game’s June 19th update, but don’t get too comfy, it’s not just a log-in-and-hit-redeem situation.

To be able to get the free Human Torch Future Foundation skin in Marvel Rivals, players will have to take part in the Venom’s Bubble Pop event. Similar to the ongoing Combat Chest event, Venom’s Bubble Pop will also feature a free and a premium track with separate rewards. While the rewards of the latter track might be more appealing to most, there’s plenty of exciting stuff in the free version as well, including a brainrot-worthy emote for Jeff the Land Shark.

The Venom’s Bubble Pop event, which is scheduled to kick off on June 19th, will require players to obtain pass XP by participating in Marvel Rivals matches. The Human Torch Future Foundation skin will only be awarded to players who reach the final tier of rewards, so be prepared to put in some serious grind.

Marvel Rivals Adds a Tralalero Tralala Jeff Emote, Pink Venom Skin & More

NetEase is officially adding brainrot to Marvel Rivals! And no, this isn’t satire.

The developers behind the popular hero shooter have confirmed that Jeff the Land Shark is getting an emote called “Jeff’s New Kicks” with the game’s June 19 update. Taking a glance at the emote, it’s evident that it’s a cheeky homage to the viral Tralalero Tralala meme.

For the uninitiated, ‘Tralalero Tralala’ is an AI-generated meme which is often associated with the chaotic charm of Italian brainrot content online.

Alongside this emote, the update is also set to introduce a new pink Venom skin that players will be able to obtain by participating in the Venom’s Bubble Pop event. The event will require players to complete a series of missions to add some cosmetics to their collection.

Note that you’ll need to spend a little extra if you’re eyeing the premium cosmetics. The Pink Bubble Venom costume emote can only be obtained by purchasing the premium version of the event pass. If you’re an F2P player, you’ll still be able to access the Future Foundation Human Torch skin and the Jeff’s New Kicks emote without spending a dime.

If in-game cosmetics aren’t your thing, then you’d be happy to know that the June 19 Marvel Rivals update will also bring with it a balance patch focusing on nerfing the overpowered characters while providing buffs to the less-picked ones. A number of team-up abilities are also seeing some minor tweaks.

Fans can check out the balance notes by heading over to the official Marvel Rivals website.
