How to Get the Storm Claws in Fortnite?

Released on June 18, 2025, the Storm Beast Pom-Poms are a limited-time hero item. They are available through a range of in-game channels.

You’ll most commonly find the Pom-Poms inside chests across the map, particularly in Academy Stands and Academy Tech Lab bunkers. They can also appear as random floor loot but are much rarer that way. Additionally, Hero Loot Caches, which unlock at B-rank or higher Hero Rank, occasionally drop the Pom-Poms.

To get it guaranteed, you can buy the Pom-Poms from Haylee Skye, who is found at Pumped Power in the map’s northeast area. She offers them for sale at 400 gold bars. As an added bonus, you can also recruit Haylee Skye as a Heavy Specialist, an NPC ally who follows behind you and deals explosive damage.

While buying is reliable, it’s smarter to prioritize looting Academy locations or Hero Caches to conserve your gold for other late-game resources.

Note: Storm Beast Pom-Poms are not available in Ranked modes. You’ll need to stick to unranked playlists to access this ability.

After you equip the Storm Beast Pom-Poms, you’re able to activate the Storm Claws ability, shifting into the Storm Beast, a formidable, dexterous form with an independent health bar and special attributes.

The shift has a brief shield increase, providing you with extra protection while you’re in beast mode. The Storm Beast possesses an independent health bar, which takes damage during the course of your transformation, keeping you alive for longer in close combat.

Though changed, you will be able to run faster, jump over large distances, and execute vicious melee combos. The power gauge seen at the lower left side of your screen gradually runs out when using your attacking abilities but remains whole when you’re just running around or jumping.
