Vikkstar Quits Call of Duty: Warzone Over Increasing Number of Cheaters

Popular Call of Duty player and content creator Vikram “Vikkstar” Singh Barn has announced his departure from Call of Duty: Warzone for the increasing number of cheaters in the title and Activision not addressing the problem.

For the unaware, the number of cheaters in Warzone has been increasing at an alarming rate over the past few months, with some cheaters even going as far as to streaming the shooter live on YouTube without facing any consequences. This has become a cause of growing concern in the Call of Duty community.

The UK-based content creator expressed his dissatisfaction with the game in a Tweet on January 30th.

“The game is in the worst state it’s ever been, Activision really isn’t addressing how many hackers are in the game,” Vikkstar said. “This needs to be fixed otherwise it truly will be the death of the game.”

This isn’t the first time we’re seeing a Call of Duty content creator quit the game over cheating. Only a week ago, popular Call of Duty streamer, NickMercs bid farewell to the game for similar reasons.

“Unfortunately without anti-cheat, authentic Warzone tournaments just aren’t possible anymore,” he said in a Tweet.

It seems like now would be a great time for Activision to step up and improve their anti-cheat engine, which has come under fire from the community recently, should they want to prevent their popular title from dying.
