Unlike CSGO, No Loot boxes for Valorant players

Riot Game’s new FPS game Valorant to not have Loot boxes, the developer has confirmed. The news comes in after the game was being compared to Valve’s CS:GO.

Counter Strike Global Offensive, Valve’s most successful and world’s best FPS game makes most of its money through Loot boxes and skins in game. Except, Riot Games, who have confirmed in an interview to Polygon about a different setup.

The game will however, have, micro-transactions, skins and sprays which in some way or the other, resembles the CS:GO mode of operations.

“I think [character skins] would have to be in a way that there’s absolutely nothing to impact the gameplay, it’ll be narrow. I think there’s a way to do that. And those are things that we’re interested in exploring” speaking to Polygon, Valorant‘s executive producer Anna Donlon said.
