Valorant Agents Tier List

Currently, Riot Games’ competitive shooter Valorant offers a total of 14 agents for the players to choose from. However, not all of these agents are equally balanced, and often receive adjustments in the form of buffs or nerfs depending on how they perform in the competitive meta.

This is why, we have come up with an Agent tier list for Valorant that is aimed to determine the agents that are most fit for the current competitive ecosystem.

The following list will be divided into three categories – S-tier, A-tier and B-tier respectively. The agents in the S-tier are the most viable and you should look to learn them if you’re looking to climb ranks the fastest, while the A-tier agents are pretty decent as well. The B-tier agents will often be situational but can still be good if used correctly.

  • Jett
  • Raze
  • Sage
  • Sova

While Jett and Sova are fairly hard to master, they can easily decide the outcome of games when used properly. Both of them have great skillsets that don’t rely on their team to be effective.

Raze and Sage on the other hand, are relatively easy to learn and play, and can be quite effective in ranked games. Raze can dish out an insane amount of damage with her skills while Sage can offer great utility to her team, with an amazing ultimate.

  • Breach
  • Brimstone
  • Cypher
  • Killjoy
  • Omen
  • Phoenix
  • Reyna

All of these A-Tier agents are still viable in competitive but fall short when compared to the S-tier agents. For instance, agents like Reyna and Cypher have received multiple nerfs over the last few patches that limit their effectiveness in a ranked game.

These agents can be used in combination with certain other agents to spike their usefulness significantly when used properly. We’re all familiar with how deadly an Omen and a Sage can be together.

These agents are highly situational, and can generally be avoided due to the presence of better alternatives.

These agents include:

  • Skye
  • Viper
  • Yoru

While Skye does have an AoE heal, Sage is undoubtedly the better option as a healer in the team. In spite of multiple buffs to Viper, she is still less than viable in ranked games. Valorant’s newest agent, Yoru, has also failed to make an impact in the competitive scene.
