Russian Dota 2 star ‘Flow’ passes away at 25

After years of battling with cancer, Russian Dota 2 pro Alexander "Flow" Sazonov passes away.

It’s a sad day in the history of Russian Dota 2, as Alexander “Flow” Sazonov has passed away from cancer at a young age of 25.

Two years ago, Double Dimension announced that Flow had been diagnosed with cancer when he was only 23 years old. After a battle against the disease for over two and a half years, he passed away today.

After taking an initial break to undergo treatments, he soon returned to the competitive scene to play professional Dota 2.

Flow has been a part of several renowned Dota 2 teams in the past, including Double Dimension, Vega Squadron, and FlyToMoon.

Russian Dota 2 team B8 gaming expressed their condolences through a tweet, which when roughly translated, says, “Today Alexander ‘Flow’ Sazonov passed away. He bravely fought the disease and kept faith in the best to the last. We express our condolences to Alexander’s family and friends. Rest in peace.”
