Activision is planning to continue on its successful venture into mobile gaming market by potentially bringing all of its major franchise into the play. After a tremendously successful run with their first mobile title Call of Duty: Mobile, the Activision Blizzard President Daniel Alerge hinted that mobile market is very important to the company.

In their Q3 Call, Alerge stated their interest in bringing “all (Activision) franchises to mobile over time.” This points towards the company’s famous titles like Overwatch and Warcraft, which can soon enter into the world of mobile gaming.

The complete statement reads, “We need to make sure that we’re enabling our franchises on the billions of mobile devices that are available right now. That’s by far our biggest opportunity and we’re investing meaningfully to capitalize on this and to take all our franchises to mobile over time.”

Currently, Activision is already working on a mobile version of Diablo Immortal and more titles can potentially make their way on to this list starting with Call of Duty: Warzone. This game was assumed to come into mobile market due to a job listing confusion by Activision with no further leads pointing out towards a Warzone mobile game.

Call of Duty: Mobile successfully debuted in the mobile gaming world last year and now, the game is entering into China where over 50 million players have pre-registered to date. Activision Blizzard is not the only company to tap into the potential of mobile market as other titans like Riot Games and EA have already announced their own mobile titles namely League of Legends: Wild Rift and Apex Legends respectively.

Considering the fact that Overwatch and Warcraft have been major Activision Blizzard titles since their launch and this plausible statement of bringing all of their franchise could mean that Overwatch or Warcraft fans may soon get their hands on a portable version of their favourite game.
