Krafton India’s Gaming Incubator Program Expands, Welcomes New Applicants

Krafton’s India Gaming Incubator Program (KIGI) is set for a significant expansion as it opens its doors to more aspiring game developers. Initially launching with two promising studios, ReDimension Games from Nagaland and Shura Games from Bengaluru, KIGI has now broadened its scope by inviting additional teams to join its first cohort.

Two months ago, Krafton introduced the inaugural cohort of KIGI, aimed at nurturing and empowering Indian game developers. This initiative offers mentorship, essential resources, and financial backing to fuel the creation and enhancement of innovative games. The financial support ranges from $50,000 to $150,000, with exceptional cases qualifying for up to $250,000 based on project requirements.

Selected participants of KIGI gain access to AppMagic, a comprehensive toolkit crucial for conducting in-depth mobile app market research. This resource facilitates competitive intelligence, product development, user acquisition strategies, and lead generation, empowering developers with valuable insights and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

KIGI’s first cohort benefits from the guidance of three industry veterans serving as mentors. These experts include Harns Kim, a seasoned Game Producer and Marketing Expert, Dave Curd, the Vice President and Creative Director at PUBG studios, and Joseph Park, a Product Head, Producer, and Game Designer. Their combined expertise provides invaluable support and mentorship to aspiring developers, enhancing their chances of success within the gaming industry.

The expansion of Krafton India’s Gaming Incubator Program reflects a commitment to fostering innovation and talent within the Indian gaming ecosystem. By offering a holistic support system encompassing mentorship, financial aid, and access to essential tools, KIGI paves the way for aspiring developers to realize their creative visions and contribute significantly to the gaming landscape.
