With Riot Games’ competitive shooter Valorant gaining rapid popularity across the world, more and more players are looking to enjoy the title on different platforms. If you’re looking for ways to play Valorant on your Mac, we have you covered.
Unfortunately, Valorant hasn’t seen its official release on macOS as of yet. However, that hasn’t stopped players from playing it on their Mac. Here’s how you can enjoy Valorant on your Mac:
Play Valorant on Mac
If you want to play Valorant on your Mac, all you have to do is install Windows on it. Moreover, while there are several ways to run Windows on a Mac, Valorant will only run on a Mac if you install it using Boot Camp. This is due to Riot Games’ advanced anti-cheat system Vanguard which only runs in Boot Camp but not on most virtual machines.
For the unaware, Boot Camp is a multi boot utility included with macOS that aids users in installing Microsoft Windows operating systems on a Mac.
Installing Windows on your Mac will also enable you to play a plethora of other games that aren’t supported on the latter.
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to install Windows 10 on your Mac unless you have one of these machines:
- Macbook 2015 or later
- Macbook Air/Pro 2012 or later
- Mac Mini 2012 or later
- iMac 2012 or later
- iMac Pro
- Mac Pro 2013 or later
Once you’re done installing Windows 10 using Boot Camp, you’re all set to play Valorant on your Mac.
