Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.06 with quest bug fixes, performance improvements, and much more now available.

CD Projekt Red is on their way to redemption after having one of the worst game launches ever. The company in their public announcement last week had asked players to patiently wait for updates that will start coming in a few days and give another chance to the company.

Just today the company had released a second update after the said announcement and as promised, Update 1.06 addresses some important quest-related issues alongside performance-related problems on the console and most importantly it deploys a fix for the save corrupt bug. The latest update is now live for both console and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.06 Patch Notes

1. Quests

Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz’s entrance during the Second Conflict.

2. Console-specific Performance tunning

Improved memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes.

3. PC-specific bug fix

Removed the 8 MB save file size limit. Note: this won’t fix save files corrupted before the update.

As promised on the forums, CD Projekt Red has temporarily removed the 8MB save file size limit in hopes to fix the save corrupting issue till a more permanent solution is rolled out. While this will avoid future save files from corrupting, the files that were already corrupt before the update can’t be restored and players will need to start from older working save or restart their journey from scratch.

While for console players, improved memory management will result in overall stability improvement and will fix crashes caused due to full memory.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
