As many avid CSGO fans would have already anticipated, Fnatic star JW holds the #1 spot in the list of most knife kills this year from the top 30 teams in the pro scene.
With a total of 34 knife kills in CSGO 2020, JW is followed by his teammate Robin “flusha” Rönnquist who boasts 18 knife kills. The third place in the podium is occupied by team BIG’s Florian “syrsoN” Rische and Heroic’s Martin “stavn” Lund with 11 kills.
Notably enough, only 6 players among the top 30 CS teams have a knife kill count of 10 or above. Na’Vi legend Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, who is widely regarded to be the greatest CSGO player of all time, has 10 knife kills.
While knifing is often done to humiliate opponents, in the highest levels of competitive plays pros generally tend to knife for the extra cash. Knifing gives a kill bonus of $1,500, which is greater than any other gun in the game.
