BGMI Unban: New update raises unban rumors

BGMI ban has been sparking a lot of rumours in the community as the players are hunting for different sources to get some information about the unban. In a recent series of events, Krafton apparently pushed their first ever update to the game and this has sparked rumours of BGMI getting unbanned in the country.

BGMI BAN IN INDIA

BGMI was banned in India for concerns over user privacy and data. There was also worries over BGMI being linked to Chinese sources to some extent. This led to a full fledged ban on BGMI with their distribution network completely cut off.

This meant that BGMI is still working for those who already had installed it but new players have no official source to download the game. The players who already have the game have not received an update since the game was banned.

BGMI UNBAN RUMOURS ARE FAKE

Recently, BGMI got a new update where a Support section was added to the game. This section provides some tutorials for the players on topics that are not frequently used by the players where they might need some assistance.

Following topics were included in the series of video tutorials:

  • How to Add/ Delete and Block/Unblock a player in the game?
  • How to unlink my Social Media account from the game?
  • Refund of Prime/ Prime Plus subscription
  • How to delete a game account?
  • Report cheater directly through in-game?

Apart from this, the developers have also uploaded the same videos on their official website, making it easily accessible for users. This is the only development and according to the videos, it mostly addressing account deletion, reporting and such features.

This has led to BGMI unban rumors in the country where some players have misunderstood the fact that BGMI getting an update is equivalent to the game being unbanned.

TalkEsport would like to clarify that BGMI is not unbanned yet and we urge our readers to not trust any such sources of information till the officials confirm the same.
