How To Use Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals?

Chrono Shield Cards are one of the newest additions in Marvel Rivals that have stirred up a lot of controversy within the game’s community.

These cards serve as valuable resources that can be used following a ranked match loss to negate any deduction in ranking points, thereby preserving your competitive standing. As a result, players utilizing the Chrono Shield Cards effectively should have an easier time climbing the ranked ladder of Marvel Rivals.

But how exactly do you use Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals, and what are the methods for obtaining them?

How To Use Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals?

To be able to use Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals, you’ll first have to make sure that you have them in your inventory.

If you have one or more Chrono Shield Cards in your Marvel Rivals inventory, they should automatically activate upon losing a ranked game

If you already have a charged Chrono Shield, your cards will not be consumed, and you’ll lose your existing shield instead.

Note that Chrono Shield Cards can only be used in Gold rank and below, so if you are ranked Platinum or above, you won’t be able to make any use of them.

How To Get Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals?

Currently, the only way for players to obtain Chrono Shield Cards in Marvel Rivals is through participating in Galacta’s Gift event.

These cards can be unlocked for free by progressing through the event pass and reaching specific tiers. Players receive their first set of Chrono Shield Cards upon reaching Tier 2, which requires winning six matches.

All unused Chrono Shield Cards will expire and be removed from players’ inventories at the end of the season.

Riot Partners with OnePlus to Host Valorant Mobile Tournament in China

In a breakthrough in mobile esports, Riot Games has announced the first competitive tournament for Valorant Mobile, which will be hosted in China. This effort is a critical step in the game’s foray into the mobile gaming space and is supported by a strategic collaboration with technology giant OnePlus.

The tournament will be fueled by the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition, which has been named the official event smartphone. This partnership was revealed at a recent product launch event, as representatives from Riot Games’ Chinese publishing partner Tencent and esports organization Teng Jing Sports spoke on the influence that the partnership will have on the mobile esports scene.

Tournament Timeline

Based on reports, the first Valorant Mobile competition is set to take place in late 2025, with no official dates revealed. The tournament promises to be the backbone of Valorant Mobile’s competitive landscape, especially in the Chinese region, where mobile esports remains highly popular.

Prior to the main tournament, the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition will also be the official device at a coming event in Shanghai this June. This early adoption highlights OnePlus’s dedication to integrating its technology into top-of-the-line esports productions.

Valorant Mobile launched a beta in China in April 2025, with initial reactions pointing towards the game’s strong faithfulness to the original PC game. Gamers have complimented its slick controls and refined graphics, observing that the mobile iteration retains the tactical essence while making optimizations for touchscreen input. The game is being developed by LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a Tencent-owned studio responsible for porting other prominent shooters such as PUBG and Apex Legends to mobile platforms.

The fact that China is the world’s largest and most competitive mobile gaming market makes it an ideal destination for Valorant Mobile’s inaugural tournament. Through its collaboration with OnePlus and utilization of local esports infrastructure, Riot Games is building a solid foundation to ensure long-term success for the game. The partnership seeks to capitalize on China’s huge and highly active player base, which represents a fertile platform on which to build Valorant Mobile’s success.

Dance With Sabrina: Fortnite Launches Interactive Concert with Sabrina Carpenter

0

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter will transport Fortnite gamers on an interactive musical adventure called “Dance With Sabrina,” which will debut as a part of Fortnite Festival Season 8. The limited-time experience will be available between May 30 and June 16, 2025, and will provide fans with the ability to immerse themselves in Carpenter’s music in an interactive virtual environment.

Dance With Sabrina” reimagines Fortnite Festival Jam Stage as a pulsating concert area where players can join rhythm-based gameplay. By coordinating their inputs to such hits as “Espresso” and “Bad Chem,” players complete a heart meter that measures the accuracy of their performance. Superstars are rewarded with positions like Dance Leader, Special Effects Pro, or Video Artist, where they get to shape the visual and sound aspects of the show. High-flyers are rewarded with appearances alongside Carpenter’s avatar in the event finale photo.

Apart from that, Fortnite’s Item Shop will launch the “Bad Chem” bundle on May 29. It comes with the “Bad Chem” Jam Track and a themed emote so players can flaunt their moves with style.

Aside from that, a variety of Carpenter-inspired content can be accessed via the Season 8 Music Pass, priced at 1,400 V-Bucks. The pass grants access to songs such as “Juno” and “Nonsense,” among others, as well as attire that mirrors Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” tour fashion. Interestingly, the babydoll dress is instantaneously unlocked upon purchase, while a glittering bodysuit can be accessed when reaching level 45.

Carpenter’s partnership with Fortnite is representative of the increasing overlap between music and interactive entertainment. What type of Fortnite crossover do you want to see in the future? Let us know in the comments below.

CS2 BLAST Austin Major 2025 – Where To Watch

Fans looking to catch all the action that unfolds during the CS2 BLAST Austin Major 2025 can tune into the official livestreams of the event on Twitch, YouTube, and BLAST.tv.

FUT Esports Reveals CS2 Roster

Popular Turkish organization, FUT Esports, has revealed its CS2 roster, boasting some of the biggest names in the industry.

FUT Esports has brought together a couple of players from the French and Belgian scenes, but with them being out of touch for a while, the hopes for the roster look bleak in the tough competition offered by the tough teams of today.

FUT will house the legendary Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom along with his brother Nabil ‘Nivera’ Benrlitom. French duo Audric ‘JACKZ’ Jug and Kévin ‘misutaaa’ Rabier will be the next big names, along with Devaduvek and DRAC, to round off the roster.

“Excited to announce a new chapter in my journey as I join FUT Esports alongside my brother [Nivera]. I’ll be stepping in as both a content creator and the sixth player for the team, for now. My goal is to fully come back to competitive CS once I familiarise myself with the game and feel ready!” ScreaM tweeted.

While on paper the team has the potential to be a top side, recent performances suggest they are more likely to be a lower-mid to low tier-1 team, rather than one that picks up trophies.

Only time can tell what becomes of this roster, but with the likes of ScreaM joining the team, they are likely to pull in quite the audience when they play. If things go right, we might see another dark horse in this team, but anything beyond seems impossible at this point.

G2 to Sign Heroic Duo After Austin Major 2025

G2 Esports, having lost two of the best players in the world in m0NESY and NiKo, has been on a downhill path. From one of the best teams in the world, G2 now find themselves out of the conversation for the Austin Major. While changes were impending after the conclusion of the Major, we have announcements confirming the latest additions to the G2 camp.

G2 identified Malbs as the player to replace NiKo while NiKo was on the team, but m0NESY’s replacement was hard to find, given that there is no top AWPer available in the market. It took them quite a while, but G2 will have SunPayus join the team as an AWPer, while TaZ will be replaced by sAw, a coach who boasts quite the CV for building teams.

G2’s expected roster after the summer break:

  • Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa
  • Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski
  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko
  • Álvaro “SunPayus” García
  • Eetu “sAw” Saha (coach)

While G2 Esports has always been the team that brings star players under their belt to put together superteams. SunPayus will be a very different approach for the organisation as they move towards a more system-oriented approach, as they distance themselves from the superteam approach.

sAw’s signing signifies that more and more changes are on the way if a functional team cannot be put together, but with complete control over the roster, G2 will be the team to look out for in the second half of 2025.

Rainbow Six Siege Element 5 Announced: Format, Schedule, and More

Ubisoft officially launched Element 5, a new iteration of the North American Tier 2 competitive environment for Rainbow Six Siege. This development comes after a notable change in the esports ecosystem with the introduction of the Siege X initiative. Taking place during the summer of 2025, Element 5 introduces new formats, revised eligibility criteria, and an extensive schedule created to improve the competitive experience for up-and-coming teams.

To streamline the competitive process and ensure fair play, Ubisoft has updated the eligibility requirements for Element 5 participants:

  • Residency: All players must reside within North America.
  • Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Disciplinary Record: Players must have a clean record with no outstanding bans.
  • Team Affiliation: Active players on Tier 1 North American League (NAL) rosters are ineligible to participate.

These measures aim to foster a competitive environment that prioritizes integrity and provides opportunities for up-and-coming talent.

Open Qualifiers

Element 5 kicks off with two open qualifiers, maintaining the double-elimination format familiar to the community:

  • Qualifier 1: June 20–22, 2025
  • Qualifier 2: June 27–29, 2025

Each qualifier will accommodate up to 128 teams, with the top performers advancing to the next stage. This structure ensures a broad entry point for aspiring competitors.

Swiss Stage

The second phase introduces a Buchholz-style Swiss bracket, featuring eight teams from the qualifiers and eight invited teams:

  • Match Format:
    • Promotion and elimination matches: Best-of-three (Bo3)
    • All other matches: Best-of-one (Bo1)
  • Advancement: Only the top eight teams will progress to the playoffs.

Scheduled dates for the Swiss Stage are July 1, 2, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15, 2025. This phase is designed to rigorously assess team consistency and adaptability.

Responding to community feedback regarding previous events, Ubisoft has committed to increasing official broadcast coverage for the Swiss Stage:

We have heard your feedback regarding the lack of official broadcasts for Phase 2. We’re happy to announce that we’re bringing back full coverage for Phase 2 with our premier talent to cover games that matter the most to you.

This initiative aims to provide fans with comprehensive access to pivotal matches and enhance the overall viewing experience.

Playoffs

The playoffs represent the final and most intense phase of Element 5:

  • Dates: July 14–27, July 31, and August 1–3, 2025
  • Format: Double-elimination bracket
  • Match Format:
    • Lower final and grand final: Best-of-five (Bo5)
  • Prize Pool: $15,000

This stage will determine the top teams in the Tier 2 scene, offering significant rewards and recognition.
