Orangutan Esports Clinch Victory in VCL SA Qualifiers

Today was the last match of the qualifiers of VCL SA, as OG and RGE played their final matches from Group B. This match was the most important match so far as this decided the course of action for the three teams competing for qualification, i.e., Medal Esports, Reckoning Esports, and Aster Army.

Orangutan Esports Roster and Lineup

Orangutan Esports is a team of skilled players led by Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose as IGL, Akram “Rawfiul” Virani, Rishi “RvK” Vijayakumar, Azis “azys” Nandang, Jm “tesseract” Ignacio, and Rajiv “LeVi” Satpute (Sub). Finally, RvK came back to his position in playing 5, where Levi had been playing before.

Reckoning Esports Roster and Lineup

Reckoning Esports had a talented lineup of Harsh “Harshhh” Arora as IGL, Saksham “Deadly10” Aurangabadkar, Varun “Mast3r” Menon, Daniil “flabben” Merzlyakov and

Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin.

Map Veto and Selection

RGE banned Haven while OG banned Lotus. RGE went on to pick Ascent and Fracture was chosen by OG. Split and Pearl were banned, and Icebox became the last map.

Match Recap

Ascent saw the first pistol win by RGE, as Deadly10 showed us how much he missed being on Jett with his 4k. In anti-eco, OG managed to convert their eco round into a thrifty win. OG got 5 rounds continuously, and RGE broke into their momentum in round 7 where Flabben got a triple kill. The score was equalized at 5-5, and the half ended at 6-6, as the competition went neck-to-neck.

RGE won the pistol round again and won the anti-eco as well this time. They lost the bonus and 2 rounds after that as well, as Antidote clutched a 1 vs 2 in round 16. Even in round 17, Harshhh almost clutched a 1 vs 4 thrifty round for RGE, but OG Antidote showed him what the controller diff looks like. In round 20, RGE was in the disadvantageous position of 2v4, where Harshh turned round by getting a triple kill and winning the round. OG managed to get a thrifty win in round 21 as Antidote got a triple kill with his sheriff. OG managed to close out the map by coming back from 9-11 to 13-11.

On Fracture, OG started by winning the pistol round and the anti-eco round. They lost the bonus as Harshhh clutched a 1v2 clutch. Round 4 was by OG, again gaining momentum as Tesseract got a triple kill. OG got the lead of 6-1. RGE got the 7th round, but OG went back to dominating as they closed the half at 9-3.

RGE managed to win the important pistol round, with Hvoya getting a triple kill. RGE managed to win the bonus round as Flabben got a triple kill, getting them the momentum they required to come back from the huge round difference. OG got round 17, bringing the score to 10-7. Round 23 saw Flabben get a 3k, getting the score up to 11-12. RGE continued their flow to bring the map to overtime. In round 25, Rvk got 3k but still, RGE managed to get the round in defense. And finally, the 9-3 curse turned out to be real as RGE won the map even after being at such a huge disadvantage, showing their mental strength and calmness during their attacking side.

In the final map of Icebox, OG started by winning the pistol round as Azys got 3k. They won the anti-eco but lost the bonus round. Both the teams seemed to be getting to and fro rounds, but then OG got the momentum, closing the half at 9-3, round 12 being a 2 vs 4 clutches by Azys and RvK.

OG got the pistol round again and RGE forced the next round, although they lost it. OG didn’t give up their momentum at all, finishing the map at 13-3, defeating RGE in their last match, and qualifying for the main event.

With this, the qualifiers are over and the top 3 teams from each group will play each other for a spot in Ascension from April 14.

Valorant’s Bind Changes: All You Need to Know

0

Riot Games have announced that Bind will be returning to the Competitive pool after undergoing several major revamps.

Earlier in January, Bind and Breeze were ruled out of the game’s Competitive and Unrated map rotations. Although they never provided specific details on the exact cause of these issues, it is believed that they were related to lag or FPS drops during certain parts of matches.

This was the case when players were in some regions of any map. These problems in a first-person shooter game are incredibly detrimental to gameplay, so removing them was probably the best solution to ensure a smooth player experience.

Bind Changes

The forthcoming 6.08 patch brings back Bind to the game.

Both the A and B sites will undergo several structural alterations, but the A site is receiving a much more extensive makeover than B.

The A teleporter room is being moved from its current isolated position to a new, more convenient location adjacent to the A shower entrance.

Even the A site is receiving a makeover, with a new triple box layout replacing the three even squares in the site’s center with an elongated section. With this new triple, defenders and attackers alike will have more room to maneuver when attempting to secure the site or defend a plant.

The site’s walls are also being adjusted as per the developers, with the back wall being flattened to accommodate heaven’s point of entrance and a new sneak-up spot for defenders being added to the side wall.

Players who assault from above no longer have to worry about being ambushed by enemies who have been hiding in the back cubby since its removal.

However, the B site’s entrance from the defender’s spawn is set to be slightly widened, and a new vent hole is introduced if the team on the retake would ever to hurl a flash or a molly.

Adrianah Lee Files Defamation Lawsuit Against OTK Creators

0

On the 16th of March, in the year 2023, Adrianah Lee, a prominent personality, filed a lawsuit for defamation against a number of creators associated with the OTK organization, including the famous streamer Mizkif, and also involving Maya Higa and CrazySlick. The suit in question, however, has not yet revealed any specific reasons for the legal action taken by Adrianah Lee against these individuals and the OTK organization.

A Complicated and Intricate Series of Events

This legal development follows a series of complicated and intricate events that transpired between Adrianah Lee and CrazySlick over the preceding year. The 200th District Court in Austin, Texas is where the lawsuit has been filed. More details regarding the lawsuit are expected to emerge in the coming days, and we will be updating our readers as more information becomes available.

Serious Allegations and Independent Investigation

It is pertinent to note that this lawsuit comes on the heels of some serious allegations that were made against CrazySlick. The allegations in question were first brought to light by a dispute between Trainwreck and Mizkif on the 19th of September, 2022. Trainwreck had claimed that Mizkif had attempted to conceal allegations of sexual assault against creators affiliated with the OTK organization.

Subsequently, on the 20th of September, 2022, Mizkif was placed on leave from OTK, while an independent third-party investigation into the allegations was initiated. Following his return to the Twitch platform on the 11th of October, 2022, Adrianah Lee publicly stated that Mizkif should have been banned from Twitch. Additionally, she also tweeted about the allegations that were made against CrazySlick.

In response to the allegations, CrazySlick decided to remain silent and deleted all his Twitch VoDs and YouTube videos. On the other hand, both Mizkif and Maya Higa continue to create content on Twitch and YouTube.

As a result of these events, several creators have left the OTK organization, including BruceDropEmOff, who resigned in late January of 2023 and later alleged that Mizkif had sent him some questionable messages shortly after his resignation. Additionally, on the 16th of December, 2022, Rich Campbell, co-founder of the OTK organization, resigned after allegations of sexual assault against him were made public. He has not issued any public statement since his resignation.

High-Profile Lawsuit

It remains unclear as to what specific allegations Adrianah Lee has made against Mizkif and the other named individuals in the defamation suit. However, given the high-profile nature of the lawsuit and the individuals involved, it is expected to draw significant attention from the gaming and streaming communities.

To sum up, the lawsuit filed by Adrianah Lee for defamation against creators associated with the OTK organization has created a stir within the gaming and streaming communities. The suit follows a series of complex events that have brought the OTK organization under intense scrutiny. However, it is yet to be seen what allegations Adrianah Lee has brought against the named individuals in the lawsuit.

VCL SA 2023: A Look At Velocity Gaming’s Unbeatable Run

VLT has been in South Asia Valorant highlights ever since Valorant first came in. But recently, they’ve been in news for not just dominating the scene, but for also having great connections in the gaming industry, as they became the first Gaming Organization to have imported players from the ‘OG’ teams of NA and EU Valorant.

Enter the scene, Adam ‘Ec1s’ Eccles, ex-player of 100 Thieves, Ninjas In Pyjamas and Team Liquid, and Domagoj ‘Doma’ Fancev, ex-player of Fnatic. Along with the finest aimers of India like Deathmaker, Excali and Hellf, this team seemed like the dream team for South Asia.

When players from different teams were asked about which team was expected to dominate the qualifiers, Velocity seemed to be the most common answer.

And boy were they right. VLT finished at the top of the two groups combined as they failed to drop a single map in their entire series, qualifying for the main event as the top contender to look out for.

VLT’s VCL Highlights

Firstly talking about the maps, VLT seemed to have Haven as their favorite map as they played it in all four of their matches, winning 13-11, 13-2, 13-3 and 13-6. With the score disparity, we can say for sure what their strongest map in the pool is. Their other maps were Pearl, Icebox and Ascent.

Doma and Deathmaker played Killjoy and Jett respectively on every map, while Hellf played the controller role for the team. Excali fulfilled the role of the primary Initiator like Sova and Fade, and Ec1s played the secondary initiator/sentinel for the team.

Starting with their first match against God’s Reign, the scores went as close as 13-11 in both maps, but VLT had Ec1s by their side who had a whopping KDA of 45/26/25 in two maps on Breach and KAY/O.

Their second match went as easy as breathing, as they faced True Rippers and ‘truly ripped’ them apart with the score of 13-2 in both the maps. The sheer domination shown by Velocity against True Rippers could scare any team to their nerves.

The third match up against Godlike was an interesting one, as Godlike Esports hadn’t taken a single map to their name, yet alone a series, but they still managed to take the second map to an over time against Velocity after losing the first map 13-3. But despite the eventual lead of 12-7 gained by GodL, VLT gained their momentum back and took the win in overtime 14-12, snatching the win away from them.

The last match was against MLT Esports, which again saw one map of comfortable win of 13-6 and the second one in a gruesome overtime at 16-14. VLT gave away a 12-6 lead to equalize the score at 12-12, but their strong mindset helped them stay calm and finish the map off in the third overtime.

With this, Velocity had a 100% successful run in Valorant Challengers League South Asia: Split 1 and gave the Indian fans a hope of a strong representation of the region going forward in the main event and possibly, VCT Ascension.

How to Score a Finesse Goal in FIFA 23?

0

A finesse shot is a type of shot in the FIFA video game series that involves a player striking the ball with the inside of their foot in a way that creates a curved, spinning shot towards the far post of the goal.

Finesse shots require precision and good timing, and are often used by skilled players in situations where they are looking to place the ball accurately into the net instead of simply blasting it toward the goal. They are especially effective from around the edge of the penalty area and are a popular way to score goals in FIFA 23.

In this article, we will get to know how to score a finesse goal in FIFA 23.

How to Score a Finesse Goal in FIFA 23?

To execute a finesse shot in FIFA 23, the player needs to use the following buttons together:

  • Playstation: R1+O
  • PC Keyboard: D
  • Nintendo Switch: R+A
  • Xbox: RB+B

Note: Executing finesse shots in FIFA involves using the left analog stick for aiming and requires precise timing to ensure a successful finish.

Pro Tips to Score a Finesse Goal in FIFA 23

Here are some tips to help you perform successful finesse shots in FIFA:

  • Choose the right player: Finesse shots are more effective when taken by players with high finishing and curve attributes, so choose players with these attributes when possible.
  • Positioning is key: Make sure your player is in a good position to shoot before attempting a finesse shot. The angle and distance of the shot can make a big difference in its success.
  • Aim for the far post: Finesse shots are most effective when aimed toward the far post of the goal. Use the left analog stick to aim in that direction.
  • Timing is crucial: Release the shoot button at the right moment, just as your player is about to kick the ball. Timing is key to executing a successful finesse shot.
  • Practice makes perfect: Keep practicing and experimenting with different angles and distances until you become comfortable with finesse shots. With enough practice, you’ll be able to execute them successfully on a regular basis.
