Ubisoft Shuts Down Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Team, Future Sequel in Doubt

0

Ubisoft has made a big choice about one of its games that wasn’t doing so well, called “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.” Because the game didn’t sell as much as they hoped, they stopped the team that was making it. This means that the next game people were hoping for might not happen now, which has made a lot of fans very curious about what’s going to happen next with this famous game series.

“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown” came out in January and was different from the older games. It was an adventure game with a new hero named Sargon. People liked the new ideas in the game, but not enough people bought it. This led Ubisoft to end the project.

A gamer from France first guessed that Ubisoft would stop the team, and Ubisoft confirmed it later. This news made a lot of people talk about it, including Michael Douse from Larian Studios. He didn’t like the way Ubisoft tried to sell the game and thinks a better plan could have helped the game sell more and maybe even get a sequel.

Because of what happened with “The Lost Crown” and some other games that didn’t do well, Ubisoft has changed its plan. They said that all new games they make will be available on Steam right away. They’re also going to take more time to make “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” better.

As this news spreads, Ubisoft is trying to get back on track after seeing their stock prices go down. Everyone is watching to see how they handle these tough times, hoping they can get back to being one of the top game companies.

xQc Faces New Lawsuit from Ex-Girlfriend Adept with New Claims

0

In a surprising new development, the well-known Twitch streamer xQc, also known as Félix Lengyel, is in the middle of another legal issue with his ex-girlfriend and fellow streamer, Adept. This new lawsuit in California brings up fresh claims of wrongdoing, adding more trouble to their already stormy past.

xQc and Adept, whose real name is Samantha, have had a very public and rocky relationship. Since they broke up in 2022, they have been to court several times. Earlier claims against each other involved serious accusations but were thrown out by a judge in Texas earlier this year.

Adept’s latest legal action in California brings up some old complaints and adds new ones, including an accusation that xQc hurt her during a disagreement. This incident supposedly led to the police coming and an emergency order being put in place. These new allegations make the lawsuit even more serious.

Adept is asking for a lot of money in damages. She wants $245,000 for certain complaints, and with extra fines, the total could be over $1 million. xQc also mentioned that Adept asked for a $10 million settlement, showing how high the stakes are in this fight.

This legal battle has affected both streamers’ careers. Adept says she has lost sponsorships and viewers because of xQc’s fans. xQc, on the other hand, is upset about the ongoing lawsuits and doubts why the court keeps allowing them.

Fans of xQc and Adept have been very active in discussing this case online. xQc’s fans have strongly supported him, while Adept’s followers believe her side of the story. The public nature of their breakup has only increased public interest and opinions.

In recent live streams, xQc has openly talked about the lawsuit, calling it “sad” and hard to believe. He feels he has already defended himself successfully against past claims and sees these new allegations as just more of the same old issues.

The fight between xQc and Adept is still going on, with new claims and a lot of money at risk. As things move forward, this case will likely keep grabbing the attention of their fans and others.

League of Legends Worlds 2025 Returns to China

Riot Games has officially announced that the 2025 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) will be returning to China, marking its first appearance there since 2020. This decision brings back memories of past events held in Beijing and Shanghai, which previously played host to the prestigious tournament in 2017 and 2020. As of now, the exact cities that will host each stage of Worlds 2025 have not been confirmed, but it’s anticipated that some of the venues currently used by the LPL (League of Legends Pro League) could be prime candidates for the event.

The excitement for Worlds 2025 is not just limited to its location. Riot Games is also shaking up the competitive scene in significant ways. New tournament formats and event structures have been introduced in recent years, such as the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2023, and the double-elimination bracket at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). For 2025, Riot has added a third international event to the annual League of Legends calendar, which will take place in March 2025. This new event, along with Fearless Draft—a mode where teams cannot pick the same champions more than once in a series—promises to add even more excitement and unpredictability to competitive play.

These changes are part of a broader effort to create a more dynamic and viewer-friendly experience. Riot has also introduced multi-region leagues across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and the Americas, featuring guest team slots that allow for more inter-regional competition. Additionally, the Mid-Season Invitational will move to July instead of May, and the year will culminate in a Regional Championship before Worlds, which will determine the best teams from each region.

The return of Worlds to China in 2025 is seen as a strategic move by Riot Games, given China’s immense esports fanbase and the country’s history of hosting successful international events. With a combination of structural innovations, new formats, and a return to familiar grounds, Worlds 2025 is poised to be one of the most thrilling esports spectacles in recent history.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Revives Zombies Mode with New Maps Liberty Falls and Terminus

0

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has brought excitement back to fans, especially with the return of the Zombies mode. After waiting since Black Ops Cold War in 2020, players are eager to try out two new maps, Liberty Falls and Terminus, with the return of round-based gameplay. Fans were let down by Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode, so the expectations for Black Ops 6 are high.

This time, the game emphasizes a strong story-driven campaign, while still keeping multiplayer as a core part of the experience. The Zombies mode, though, is expected to come back with its deeper narrative and polished gameplay. Treyarch, the developer known for creating the best zombie experiences in the Black Ops series, is back, and players are hopeful that their expertise will restore the glory of the mode.

COD Black Ops 6

With a release date of Friday, October 25, fans are counting the days to jump into this revamped Zombies mode. Both new maps, along with familiar mechanics, have the potential to bring back the thrill and replayability that made previous Black Ops games so iconic.

Anticipation is sky-high within the Zombies community, with expectations that the classic mechanics, combined with modern updates, will bring a fresh yet familiar feel to the game. Whether it’s multiplayer, campaign, or zombies, Black Ops 6 promises a solid and thrilling experience across the board, launching simultaneously on all platforms without early access. This ensures that fans worldwide can dive into the action-packed weekend together, making it a truly global gaming event.

Fans of the Black Ops series are excited to see if Treyarch’s return to Zombies will once again make this mode a fan favorite.

New Deadlock Update Adds Experimental Matchmaking Mode With 6 New Heroes

0

The October 24 Deadlock update has introduced a plethora of new changes to the hero shooter by Valve including hero changes, item tweaks, a map overhaul, and much more. However, the most exciting addition of the new Deadlock update is undoubtedly the experimental ‘Hero Labs’ that lets players try out heroes ahead of their actual release.

In case you haven’t had the chance to take a look at the official patch notes of the new Deadlock update, it has brought with it the ‘Hero Labs’ game mode to the title. Unlike the regular unranked game mode in Deadlock, the Hero Labs mode lets players try out unreleased heroes before they are added to ranked.

“The goal of this mode is to invite players to help us in giving hero design feedback while heroes are in very early phases,” the devs said in a statement. “Most heroes in this mode will have placeholder models, names, effects, etc.”

Deadlock Hero Labs Mode Adds Six New Heroes

Valve has launched the Hero Labs mode in Deadlock with six new heroes: Holliday, Calico, Wrecker, Fathom, Viper, and Magician. Note that these names are currently placeholders, and some of these heroes also feature placeholder abilities in certain skill slots.

The devs have clarified that the heroes in this mode will often be removed or have their abilities changed. Fans can also expect new heroes to be added in the Hero Labs game mode in the near future.

Players interested in checking out the patch notes for this game mode will have to head over to the Hero Labs subforum on the official forums.

Deadlock Hero Labs Mode Requirements

Similar to the ranked mode, not everyone can participate in the Hero Labs mode in Deadlock.

At the time of writing, the only requirement to queue for this new Deadlock game mode is to have at least 50 games played in the account.

Players who are unable to get a new hero selected will be considered higher priority for subsequent matches to get a new hero from their overall roster selection.

Valorant Regen Shield Release Date: When is the New Armor Type Coming?

0

In a recent teaser video for the Valorant Episode 9 Act 3 update, Riot Games has revealed a new armor type that’s set to be introduced to the competitive shooter in the near future. This new armor type, named ‘Regen Shield’, will potentially change the way players approach gunfights in Valorant by introducing a new mechanic that enables players to regain their lost armor.

Alongside the ‘Regen Shield’ update, the next series of Valorant patches will see a number of major changes coming to the game.

“For these year-end patches, we’re able to make changes that we wouldn’t be comfortable adjusting during the pro VCT season,” Valorant Game Designer Dan Hardison said in a statement. “You may see bigger changes in some patches as we make balance adjustments and try new systems.”

Valorant fans can expect to see some significant tweaks to Phoenix and some minor changes to some of the weaker sentinels over the next few patches.

What is Regen Shield in Valorant?

The finer details on how Regen Shield will work in Valorant have not been disclosed by Riot Games at the time of writing. However, judging by its initial gameplay footage, it will likely be a purchasable item in the shop that can be bought as an alternative (or a replacement) to Heavy Shields.

The introduction of Regen Shield in Valorant will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the game’s competitive meta since it will force players to rethink the way they take fights. It will also curb the effectiveness of some guns like the Marshal, which can usually take out an unarmored enemy with a single body shot.

Valorant Regen Shield Release Date

As officially confirmed by Riot Games, the Regen Shield will be added to Valorant with the 9.10 patch, which is still a little way down the road.

The Valorant 9.10 update is expected to hit the live servers around November 19, 2024, roughly four weeks after the release of the final Act of Episode 9.

LoL Worlds 2025 Location Revealed By Riot Games

With only a few days remaining before the conclusion of the League of Legends Worlds 2024 finals, Riot Games has shed light on the location of the 2025 LoL World Championship.

The host country for LoL Worlds 2025 was revealed in a recent announcement made by Riot Games, which discussed the sponsorship extension between them and OPPO, a smartphone manufacturer based in China.

“For the past five years, OPPO has been there for some of the biggest moments in LoL Esports history,” the announcement reads. “In sharing the news of their continued global partnership with LoL Esports as part of the OPPO Find X8 series launch event in Chengdu, OPPO was alongside Riot Games for another major milestone, revealing China as the home of Worlds 2025.”

This will mark the third time China hosts the League of Legends World Championship, following previous tournaments in 2017 and 2020, which took place in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.

The host cities for LoL Worlds 2025 have not been announced at the time of writing.

The LoL devs have stated that they will disclose further details on the Worlds 2025 tournament on the Worlds 2024 Media Day, which will take place ahead of the grand finals on November 2nd at the O2 Arena in London.

NoPixel Lawsuit: Koil Wins Against DW

0

Daniel “DW” Tracey quit NoPixel in 2023 and sued Koil, the long-time owner, for damages of about $150,000. Nearly two years have passed since the lawsuit was initially brought, and Koil has finally won the case.

The lawsuit was filed over wrongful termination along with claims to owe money and intellectual property for some of the things he created for the server.

“On September 23, 2024, Defendants Koil Content Creation Pty Ltd. and Mitchell Clout filed a motion for summary judgment,” the court filing reads.

“On October 18, 2024, the parties stipulated that judgment be entered in favor of Koil Content Creation Pty. Ltd. and Mitchell Clout. In light of the stipulation filed by the parties, it is hereby ordered that the motion is granted and Summary Judgment is entered in favor of Defendants Koil Content Creation Pty Ltd. and Mitchell Clout against plaintiff That One Video Entertainment LLC.”

This marks a huge win NoPixel given the lawsuit was getting dragged on for years. With the arrival of GTA 6 in the coming months, this might be the best time to get ahead on the new game before the competition wraps up.
