How to fix BGMI Teammate Mic Glitch

0

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a popular mobile game with over 100 million downloads in India, is currently under fire for a new mic glitch introduced in its 3.4 update. This issue disrupts communication among teammates, a critical aspect of gameplay. The glitch, which causes the mic and speaker functions to stop working, has impacted casual players and competitive gamers alike.

Details of the Glitch

The glitch can occur unpredictably, whether in the lobby, on the spawn island, or mid-game. It is triggered by various scenarios, such as notifications, incoming calls, or general gameplay transitions. When it occurs, the mic and speaker icons in the lobby turn red, indicating the communication breakdown. Restarting the game—a traditional solution—no longer resolves the problem effectively.

Impact on Players

For casual gamers, the mic glitch hinders the primary purpose of gaming—enjoying time with friends. For rank pushers striving for Ace or Conqueror levels, the glitch severely affects strategic planning and execution. Professional players face even greater challenges, as scrims and tournaments demand seamless coordination and quick decision-making. The glitch’s interference in such high-stakes settings makes it a significant issue in BGMI’s competitive scene.

Steps to Fix the Mic Glitch in BGMI

While Krafton has acknowledged the issue and promised a resolution in the upcoming 3.5 update, players have devised temporary solutions:

  1. Restart Twice: Close and reopen the game twice, waiting 10-15 seconds between restarts.
  2. Make a Call: Minimize the game and place a quick call to a teammate, then disconnect to restore audio.
  3. Switch Data Modes: If on Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data briefly, wait a few seconds, and then revert to Wi-Fi.

Players are advised to perform these actions in a safe in-game location to avoid being eliminated by opponents.

VCT Game Changers 2024 Becomes Most-Viewed Women’s Valorant Event

0

VCT Game Changers 2024 has come to a conclusion recently, marking a significant milestone in Valorant history as the most-viewed women’s event in the competitive shooter’s esports scene.

The tournament, which featured a prize pool of a whopping $500,000 USD, reached a concurrent peak of over 460,000 viewers, as per data taken from Esports Charts. The event also maintained an average viewer count of nearly 123,000, which is certainly no small feat.

This makes VCT Game Changers 2024 the second-most viewed women’s esports event in history, with the first position being claimed by Mobile Legends Bang Bang Women’s Invitational 2023, which peaked at over 1.3 million concurrent viewers.

For the uninitiated, VCT Game Changers is an annual Valorant tournament dedicated to women and marginalized genders. This year, we saw Shopify Rebellion claim the championship title with a dominant 3-0 sweep over their rivals, MIBR.

Riot Games also provided various exciting rewards to Valorant players who tuned into the official streams for the tournament in the form of Twitch drops. The Twitch drops for VCT Game Changers 2024 included the “Main Character” Title and the “Game Changers Championship” Player Card.

Perfect World Shanghai Major EU RMR Group A Day 2 recap

Following a thrilling Day 1, Day 2 of the Perfect World Shanghai Major EU RMR Group A opened up with interesting results. While some teams managed to post their first victory, some tasted their first loss of the qualifier.

Arguably, they are the strongest teams coming into the qualifier. MOUZ and Vitality continued their winning streak at the cost of NAVI and FaZe respectively. NAVI and FaZe are second favourites and the results surprised no one. While MOUZ had a tough time against NAVI, Vitality sailed through which was unexpected as FaZe looked to be in form after the opening day.

Cloud9 and Fnatic, having secured wins over Sangal and Betboom, managed to edge closer to qualification. However, they need a win in their next game to book a spot, or a tough final day awaits them.

Despite little expectations, Rebels and UNiTY took the earliest exit from the RMR having failed to secure a single win following their losses today against Nemiga and Gamer Legion respectively.

As Day 3 approaches, we are due for a few more teams to qualify and at the same time, more teams will bow out of the competition. As tough as the day will be, there are a few big names in the group who are yet to secure a spot a loss tomorrow could cost said teams dearly.

Skyesports Criticized for Ongoing Payment Delays to Participants

Skyesports, a leading esports tournament organizer in India, faces backlash over delayed prize payouts for the Skyesports Masters 2024. Allegations from teams and coaches highlight delays exceeding seven months since the event ended in April 2024.

This article examines the situation, outlines responses from affected parties, and discusses the broader impact on esports credibility.

Delayed Payments Spark Outrage

Anton “ToH1o” Georgiev, coach of Copenhagen Wolves, publicly criticized Skyesports for failing to pay teams that participated in the event. ToH1o posted his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), questioning the company’s reliability.

The Skyesports Masters 2024 featured a $350,000 prize pool and drew global participation. However, teams like Gods Reign, which finished 7th-8th and earned $15,000, are still waiting for their payments.

Recurring Issues with Skyesports

Payment delays are not new for Skyesports. In July 2024, Team Shush from Pakistan accused the organizer of failing to distribute winnings from the Skyesports Souvenir 2023, which ended in September 2023.

Such incidents highlight repeated failures in financial management, raising doubts about the company’s credibility.

Skyesports Responds to Allegations

Skyesports acknowledged the delays in a recent statement. The company claimed it had paid $257,500 of the total prize pool for both the Skyesports Masters 2024 and Skyesports Championship 2024.

Skyesports attributed the remaining delays to issues with onboarding documents for international transactions and other administrative processes.

Community Reacts Amid Broader Concerns

Players, coaches, and fans expressed frustration on social media, calling for stricter accountability from organizers. Critics argued that repeated payment failures damage trust and slow esports growth, particularly in South Asia, where events like Skyesports serve as key industry milestones.

The controversy also raises broader questions about the need for better regulatory frameworks to ensure financial transparency in esports.

Skyesports CS2 Roadmap

Despite the criticism, Skyesports announced its CS2 Roadmap 2025, promising four major tournaments and a total prize pool of $1.75 million.

The roadmap reflects Skyesports’ ambition to expand its presence, though concerns about payment delays continue to overshadow its future plans.

The ongoing payment disputes involving Skyesports Masters 2024 highlight significant concerns about financial accountability in esports. Timely prize distribution is essential to maintaining trust and supporting industry growth.

Skyesports must take concrete steps to resolve these delays, ensure transparency, and restore confidence among players and fans. As the esports community watches closely, the company’s ability to meet these demands will determine its reputation moving forward.

World of Warcraft Celebrates 30 Years: A Look at the Exciting 2025 Roadmap

0

The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct brought a wave of exciting announcements as the franchise celebrated three decades of player engagement. Among the highlights was a sneak peek into what players can expect in 2025 for World of Warcraft.

Blizzard is making a concerted effort to be more transparent about their plans for the beloved MMO, detailing the new content set to arrive next year. With only a few major surprises left, this is the furthest the community has ever been able to look ahead with any degree of certainty.

2025 promises to be a busy year, with several major patches planned before the full reveal of Midnight, the upcoming expansion. Here’s everything you need to know about the WoW roadmap for 2025.

A look at World of Warcraft’s 2025: War within – roadmap

World of Warcraft

Patch 11.0.7

Starting in 2024, players will embark on an adventure to the Siren Isle with this patch. Alongside a wealth of new storylines and rewards, the Turbulent Timeways event is returning. First introduced in Dragonflight, this event features consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, complete with all the rewards to earn.

Players will have the chance to obtain Cyrce’s Circlet, an upgradeable ring that works similarly to the Cloak of Infinite Potential from WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Additionally, all of WoW’s traditional holiday celebrations are making a return.

The plunderstorm returns

WoW’s only attempt at a Battle Royale is back after a successful first run. This time, players will have the option to use a related store to earn their rewards, removing the need to grind through the Renown system.

Patch 11.1

Set to launch in late Winter of 2024, Patch 11.1 will kick off Season 2 of The War Within, titled Undermine(d). This update will introduce a brand new zone, a new raid called The Liberation of Undermine, and a new dungeon named Operation: Floodgate.

There will also be enhancements to the existing Delve offerings, allowing players to choose to align with one of four Goblin Cartels. It’s still unclear if this will mirror the much-maligned Covenant system from Shadowlands, but the developers are aware of player feedback and are likely to take a different approach.

Patch 11.1.5

Fans of Battle for Azeroth will remember the Horrific Visions of N’Zoth, which are making a comeback to challenge the community once again. Although N’Zoth has been defeated, The War Within’s focus on the Void provides a rich backdrop for what was once a beloved game mode.

This patch introduces a new content piece called Nightfall (not related to Destiny). The details surrounding this content are still unclear, but it might serve as the expansion’s megadungeon or a larger repeatable activity.

Patch 11.2

Kicking off Season 3, Patch 11.2 is as significant as the community expects. While we await Blizzard’s official confirmation on the specifics, it promises a new zone, fresh World Events, a new raid, a new dungeon, and updates to the Warband system and Brewfest.

Finally, the Midnight Expansion reveal

Set to launch in August 2025, Blizzard plans to reveal the next expansion – Midnight. The storyline has remained largely under wraps since its announcement at Blizzcon 2023, but it is expected to be a crucial part of the overarching narrative known as The Worldsoul Saga.

Patch 11.2.5

Patch 11.2.5, a relatively minor update, will include all the necessary system updates and improvements from previous patches. It will also mark the 21st Anniversary of the MMO, likely featuring celebrations and rewards for players to enjoy.

Patch 11.2.7

This patch could serve as a narrative lead-up to the next expansion’s launch, depending on whether Blizzard opts for a Patch 11.3. Given the fast-paced expansion schedule, that seems unlikely, making 11.2.7 the perfect chance to link The War Within and Midnight.

The mysterious rune

At the very end of the journey, after the release of 11.2.7, there’s a mysterious runic symbol. Blizzard has used similar hints in the past (like when they teased Plunderstorm with the skull and crossbones), but this probably doesn’t point to a timed event.  Instead, the main theory is that this could indicate the arrival of player housing in Hearthstone. Blizzard confirmed player housing during the 30th Anniversary Direct, but this feature isn’t anticipated until Midnight launches, which creates a bit of a timeline discrepancy.

For now, that’s all we know about the roadmap. As more details come to light, we will keep bringing you the latest updates here at Talkesport.

No Arcane Season 3, But Riot Games Promises More Entertainment Projects

Mark Merrill, co-founder of Riot Games, announced that Season 3 of Arcane has been canceled as the team looks to explore different universes, countering rumors that they plan to leave the entertainment industry.

Despite Arcane being one of the most expensive animated series ever made, it has also seen tremendous success. Both Seasons 1 and 2 topped the Netflix charts upon their release, captivating long-time fans and attracting new viewers who were drawn to the League of Legends universe.

While the news of Arcane not continuing with a Season 3 disappointed many, Mark Merrill offered clarification in response to a fan’s concerns:

“Cuz there are lots of other stories to tell,” was what he had to say. It’s hard to argue with that, seeing as the world behind League of Legends is massive. He also claimed that he’d be willing to invest more into League of Legends lore within the game itself if the team is “able to hit the right bar.”

Given that League of Legends lags behind Arcane in terms of narrative development, a deeper dive into the game’s lore would certainly be welcomed by its community. However, in another response, Merrill hinted at reasons for optimism regarding a new television series in the works.

Also in another source, Mark went on to say, “Our ambitions in entertainment haven’t changed. We were never intending to operate like a traditional studio with traditional timelines. What did change as we learned more was our expectations of ourselves: We realized that getting it right takes a lot more time than we’d originally expected, and so we recalibrated our development, output goals, and teams with that in mind.”

He also urged fans to disregard “naysayers” about the production costs of Arcane, stressing that such concerns wouldn’t deter Riot from pursuing more series, thus keeping the door open for a new show set in the League of Legends universe. It may take some time before it becomes a reality.

What Happend at PW Shanghai Major Europe RMR Group A on Opening Day?

The first day of European RMR has produced some exciting matches, but the results were anything but surprising. The big names most often pushed it over the line, while the underdogs were left with their backs against the wall.

MOUZ, Vitality, NAVI, and FaZe managed to win both their games on the opening day. MOUZ contained their dominating form while NAVI and Vitality looked as shaky as they were in the recent tournaments. FaZe despite starting the day with a comfortable win, struggled in their second game but managed to walk away with a 2-0 scoreline.

Big names like Fnatic, Cloud9, and Falcons performed well but not to their usual standards. Expectations are high on Falcons post s1mple’s arrival but they have failed to deliver on the expectations and now they sit with a 1-1 scoreline. While 1-1 is not the worst scoreline following the conclusion of Day 1 of the RMR, it should trigger the warning bells with a Major qualification on the line.

Underdogs such as Sangal, Nemiga, and Sinner had a tough time but there is still a chance that they make it to the Major. With a few days of action left in this group, there is still a chance for teams who are 0-2 down after the opening day.

While opening day results do not give a clear picture of the future it gives teams the edge and confidence to perform further down the line. Teams that are 2-0 up will play with more confidence and less pressure while the teams with 0-2 will have it the other way.

Qualifying early gives teams the chance to get a few more days of practice in without opening up their playbook for the world to see. This time allows them to study their opponents, iron out wrinkles in their strategies and adapt according to the next opposition but not walking away with a 3-0 score in RMR doesn’t indicate a team’s success at the Major.
