Imperial Qualifies for Blast Open Lisbon 2025

After impressing at the regional level, Imperial have booked their spot in the Blast Open Lisbon, making this their first top-tier tournament in a while after failing to make it to tier-1 events.

Imperial has qualified for the BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 with their victory at ACE South American Masters Spring. The Brazilians have seen a significant improvement in form after adding Richard “chayJESUS” Seidy in the off-season. While most of their recent victories have been in lower tiers, this marks a significant milestone for the team.

The teams set to play BLAST Open Lisbon are:

  •  Spirit
  •  G2
  •  Natus Vincere
  •  Vitality
  •  FaZe
  •  Eternal Fire
  •  MOUZ
  •  North America qualifier
  •  The MongolZ
  •  Liquid
  •  FURIA
  •  Falcons
  •  Astralis
  •  Virtus.pro
  •  Imperial
  •  Asia qualifier

Goes without saying that they will be coming into the tournament as underdogs but having little expectations would free them from any pressure that they might feel against top European sides which may make them one of the dark horses of the tournament and only time can tell if they can step up to the task.

CS2 Teams Oppose Flawed Valve Competitive Ecosystem

Top CS2 teams like Falcons, FURIA, MOUZ, and many more have presented a united front in an open letter directed at the flawed competitive ecosystem that Valve has implemented since 2025 by moving away from partnered tournament organizers.

The letter highlighted that smaller tournament organisers hold invite-only tournaments because they lack the resources to manage open qualifiers making the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) the only way to enter several tier-one events. This limits the opportunity for top teams to get into many of the tier-1 events.

“This creates a layered ecosystem: the biggest tournaments offer a small chance at a dream OQ run that catapults teams to relevance, while the tier below runs on invites only,”

“As a result, any new up-and-coming team can only enter the ranking, paradoxically, through Tier 1 events, and these are few and far between. Unless the ranking system changes, there must be stronger incentives for smaller TOs to run open qualifiers.” the letter read.

    • EYEBALLERS
    • IMPERIAL
    • LEGACY
    • FALCONS
    • OG Esports
    • 3DMAX

    • FURIA
    • M80
    • Monte Esports
    • Fnatic
    • GamerLegion
    • 9INE
    • Aurora

While pointing out the flaws in the system was the highlight of the letter, teams have suggested bringing back open qualifiers and moving away from the reliance on VRS which would preset everyone with a leveled playing field ,and teams performing well will make it to the tournament without having to worry about the points they have accumulated leading up to the tournament.

PGL Unveils Full Schedule for Cluj-Napoca 2025

0

PGL has announced the complete schedule for its inaugural event of the year, set to take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. From February 14th onwards, sixteen top teams will compete for a share of the $1.25 million prize pool.

The tournament will begin with a five-round Swiss stage held at PGL’s Bucharest studio. The eight teams that emerge victorious from this stage will then advance to the single-elimination playoffs. These playoffs will be held at BTarena in Cluj-Napoca, the same venue that hosted the playoffs of the Romanian Major back in 2015.

The participating teams were invited based on their position in Valve’s Regional Standings (VRS), which also determined the initial matchups. The top-seeded team, The MongolZ, will face Complexity, while the second seed, FaZe, will play against SAW.

One of the most anticipated first-round matches features MOUZ against BIG. This game will mark Lotan “Spinx” Giladi’s debut for MOUZ. The team, currently ranked seventh in the world, is looking to bounce back after an early exit (13th-16th place) from IEM Katowice, where they played with Adrian “xelex” Vincze as a stand-in.

Katowice has historically been a challenging tournament for the French superstar, with only one playoff appearance in six previous attempts. However, 2025 proved to be different. ZywOo’s performance was nothing short of dominant, securing him the first Super-Elite MVP of the year in convincing fashion.

How to Get Free Gems in Clash Royale?

0

Every Clash Royale player, from seasoned veterans to fresh recruits, shares a common desire – free gems. While the internet is awash with dubious offers, there are legitimate, in-game methods to acquire this valuable currency without spending real money.

This guide outlines proven strategies for earning free gems through skillful play and strategic advancement.

How to Get Free Gems in Clash Royale?

Several established paths within Clash Royale allow players to accumulate gems simply by playing and progressing:

  • Card Mastery tasks, while not directly awarding gems, contribute to card leveling and overall progression. Completing Achievements, such as clearing obstacles or joining a clan, does grant gem rewards. These represent some of the most accessible methods for earning free gems with minimal effort.
  • Keep an eye out for special in-game events, as they often include gems among their rewards. The Pass Royale also offers a reliable stream of gems as you advance through its tiers. Reaching higher tiers unlocks increasingly substantial gem rewards.
  • Climbing the Trophy Road and increasing your King Level are essential for free gem acquisition. Both offer gem rewards that scale with your progress. The higher your level, the more gems you’ll earn.
  • Free Daily Deals and Chest Keys can occasionally provide gems. Additionally, the game sometimes compensates players with gems when they lack space for a magic item.

Note: While numerous legitimate avenues exist, be wary of websites and third-party offers promising “free gems.” These are frequently scams designed to steal personal information or compromise accounts. Such services often request sensitive data, putting both your game and online security at risk. Purchasing gems from unauthorized sources can also lead to account suspension or bans from tournaments and official events.

Vitality Sweep Spirit to Win IEM Katowice 2025 – Historic Victory

0

Team Vitality has made history by winning the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2025. They defeated Team Spirit with a clean 3-0 sweep in the Grand Final. This victory marks their first-ever IEM Katowice title. The match took place on February 9, 2025, at the Spodek Arena in Poland.

Team Vitality started strong on Dust2, Spirit’s map pick. They took a 7-5 lead in the first half. Ropz, their newest recruit, shined with 26 kills and only 9 deaths. Vitality closed the map with a 13-6 win.

On Nuke, Vitality’s map pick, they continued their dominance. ZywOo, the team’s star player, led with 26 kills and just 6 deaths. Vitality secured an 8-4 lead in the first half. They finished the map with a 13-5 victory.

The final map, Mirage, was intense. Vitality took an 8-4 lead in the first half. Spirit fought back in the second half, tying the score at 11-11. However, Vitality held their nerve and won the last two rounds. They closed the map 13-11, completing the sweep.

ZywOo was named the MVP of the tournament. He matched s1mple’s record of 21 MVP awards in Counter-Strike history. Ropz also played a crucial role. His performance on Dust2 set the tone for the series.

This win is significant for Team Vitality. They had never won IEM Katowice before. Their captain, apEX, had tried for 11 years to win this trophy. This victory adds to their previous wins at IEM Cologne 2024 and the Paris Major.

With this win, Vitality has positioned itself as a top contender for future tournaments. They will compete in ESL Pro League Season 21 and BLAST Open Spring 2025. Fans are excited to see if they can continue their winning streak.

Team Vitality’s victory at IEM Katowice 2025 is a milestone in their history. Their dominant performance against Team Spirit shows their strength and determination. With ZywOo and ropz leading the way, Vitality is ready to conquer more titles in 2025

Vitality Clean Sweeps Spirit to Win IEM Katowice 2025

Vitality has finally broken their curse and is now the winner of IEM Katowice 2025 after failing to pick this trophy up on several occasions. Freshly minted singing ropz delivered a star-level performance that brought home one of Vitality’s most coveted trophies to their cabinet.

VETO

  • Spirit removed Inferno
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • Spirit picked Dust2
  • Vitality picked Nuke
  • Spirit picked Mirage
  • Vitality picked Train
  • Anubis was left over

Map 1: Dust 2; Pick: Spirit ; Winner: Vitality

A quick rush by Spirit was shut down by Vitality leading them to be in charge of the momentum for the rest of the map. Starting on the back foot, Spirit pulled in a few rounds that made the first half quite competitive, switching sides with a 7-5 scoreline favoring Vitality. While Spirit found momentum late in the game, it did not make it to the second half, as Vitality ran all over the Russian side, with ropz delivering a masterclass in his lurking role. A dynamic T-side, good calls, and individual brilliance led Vitality to win the map with a 13-6 scoreline. With a rating of 2.18, ropz dropped 26 kills to give Vitality a stellar start to the series.

Map 2: Nuke; Pick: Vitality ; Winner: Vitality

Being their best map, Vitality startled Team Spirit on Nuke with a stellar offense and once again it was ropz who remained dynamic across the map. ZyWoo came online, being a driving force along with ropz behind the stellar Vitality offense that led them to a one-sided 8-4 half. Replicating their performance from Dust 2, Vitality quickly closed it on the defense as Spirit managed only one round before Vitality shut them down. Along with ropz, ZyWoo stood out as the best performer with a 2a .83 rating and 26 kills.

Map 3: Mirage; Pick: Spirit; Winner: Vitality

A stellar B site retake saw Vitality take charge of the game early on as donk failed to provide his team with his entry-fragging prowess. As individuals from Spirit struggled, Vitality left little room for Team Spirit players to make a game out of it. Swapping halves with 8-4, Spirit managed to push the game as close as it could get but Vitality managed to push it over the line by the end of the map as Spirit got completely wiped in Katowice despite being the defending champions.
