VCT Stage 2 Challengers 2 Open Qualifier: All you need to know about the

valorant vct stage 2

The open qualifier event for Valorant Champions Tour’s Stage 2 Challengers 2 has concluded and we have our top 4 teams from the qualifier who have progressed onto the Challengers 2 event, scheduled to be held from April 23-25.

Unlike the Challengers 1 Qualifier event, the recently concluded event handed the opportunity to progress to just 4 teams and not eight. These qualified 4 teams would now join those who went down in the Challengers 1 main event in a bid to qualify for the finals iteration.

The list of the 4 teams is as follows:

  • Sentinels
  • NRG
  • Team SoloMid
  • T1

Sentinels who earlier missed out on the chance to come out from the Qualifier 1 easily breezed past through Noble Esports in the Grand Finale event, thanks to Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and co where the former was retained by Masters 1 Champions for their Stage 2 Run.

Teams like TSM and T1 seem to finally have got the rhythm as they too qualified for the Challengers 2 event after a series of upsets in the first one.

The Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham led side now have their winning probability bolstered since the addition of Rahul “curry” Nemani as the latter was sensational in the team’s triumph over FaZe Clan.

The match-ups for the Challengers 2 event have been determined by the event organizer, Nerd Street Gamers, and here is the list of the same.

> Cloud9 Blue Vs T1: April 23 00:30 IST

> Andbox Vs Sentinel : April 23 00:30 IST

> Immortals Vs TeamSoloMid : April 23 00:30 IST
> NRG Vs Built By Gamers: April 23 00:30 IST

Match to look out for:

Cloud9 Blue Vs T1

A few days back, Cloud9 Blue parted ways with Skyler “Relyks” Weaver, an original member of the Valorant division. The 26 year-old cited burnout while competing and has decided to take a step back from the same. During his inactivity, he would take up streaming but would remain open to new opportunities across the same.

But According to a report from RushBMedia, he might soon be replaced by Ricky “Floppy” Kemery who recently had been a part of the Colossus, a CSGO project which was initially handled and ran by Henry “HenryG” Greer before the initiative was stalled as Cloud9 decided to put their Counter Strike plans on hold.

A tweet was made by Cloud9 which insisted to look out for the Blue Valorant roster’s future which would be announced soon by the North American Organization.

While T1 missed out their chances during the Stage 1 Masters event, they kind of look desperate to advance to the Challengers finals event. Despite the roster changes, they look pretty dominant and are poised to have little room for error over their opponents.
