After banning digital betting platforms last month, the Andhra Pradesh government is now going to impose a new law that will ban numerous websites and apps accused of supporting “harmful activities”. According to an NDTV report, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh CM has already written to the center demanding a blocking order for 132 websites and apps accused of helping online betting and gambling.

Since the Chinese App Ban Wave, the Indian government has already banned 224 apps for national security reasons. Now CM Reddy has sent a letter to Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister of Communications and IT asking for the ban as it is very important for the society. However, numerous websites including EA.com, Zapak, MiniClip, and many other websites that don’t even promote online gambling and betting are on CM Reddy’s list.

Not only these sites, but also a few more platforms such as MPL, Paytm First Games, Rummy, Poker are also on the list. This is not the first time for Paytm First Games as it was already banned from Google Play Store last month and returned back to the store after two weeks.

Zapak and MiniClip both are free flash game sites while EA.com is a global video game giant company. Neither of them has any role in online betting and gambling. Then why are they listed on CM Reddy’s list? Let us know what do you think in the comment section below.
