PUBG Mobile: PMGC Finals Day Two gets delayed due to network issues

PUBG Mobile Global Championship has been temporarily postponed due to prevailing network issues for some players. The grand finals of PMGC were supposed to be held in the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai in a LAN environment but due to several issues, the tournament was entirely taken to the online mode. As this was the backup plan, some issues have popped up and have caused the delay in PMGC Finals Day Two until further notice.

The start of PMGC Finals were a bit shaky as the entire setup of this tournament was altered because three players tested positive to COVID-19. For the safety of other players, PUBG Mobile Esports decided to shift this tournament to the online mode and teams were supposed to compete from an isolated environment. This instant change in operations may have caused few problems for the organizers.

The proceedings of PMGC Finals Day Two were halted midway and casters revealed that some players are facing minor issues. The matches began with a slight delay but the problem persisted and hence, the first map was restarted. After the rematch, the stream was halted and a ‘Delayed till further notice’ banner was popped up on the screen.

The casters also explained that this decision was taken because some players were facing network issues. It was also said that the problems are identified and being resolved for the time being. PUBG Mobile Esports instantly issued a statement on their social media handles and apologized to the players and fans for the inconvenience caused.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship is the biggest PUBG Mobile event of the year and the decision to shift it to a new mode was instantaneous and hence, some problems were bound to happen. The time period required for resolving these issues is not mentioned but if the problem is not solved, the Day Three of this tournament can be postponed as well.
