Gearbox reveals Borderlands 3 Gameplay Reveal event details

Gearbox is all set to reveal the gameplay of the much-awaited borderland 3 on Twitch in a special “Gameplay Reveal” event. During the event, the team at Borderlands 3 will invite“hundreds of streamers” to play the game and viewers will be able to earn in-game loot simply by watching the event on twitch after installing a special extension.

The reveal event is set to broadcast on Wednesday, 1st May (6 pm UK/10am PDT). Viewers that install the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch extension can enjoy some additional benefits. After linking the SHiFT and Twitch accounts, the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch extension will let you interact with live streams of Borderlands 3.

With the ECHOcast extension enabled, the extension will allow viewer to look through the streamer’s loadout, explore the contents of their backpack, and look over the skill tree. To enable the extension when you join a stream, you’ll need to click on the small Vault symbol at the bottom of Twitch’s video player.

One of the most exciting features of the ECHOcast Twitch extension gives viewers chance to receive the same in-game loot that a streamer finds in rare chests, which are typically guarded by powerful enemies. Once a streamer opens a rare chest viewer will have only 30 seconds to opt into the event. (Note that the loot will automatically scale to viewer’s level when viewer retrieve it from in-game mailbox).

With the game’s September launch coming closer one can expect more events like this in future.
