Forza Horizon 5

Playground Games’ Forza series is one of the most popular Xbox exclusive IP’s ever since its inception, especially the current title, Forza Horizon 4 which is the best selling game in the series.

Rumours of the next game started a couple of months ago when Jeff Grubb, a reputed journalist stated that he expects another Forza Horizon game despite the announcement of Forza Motorsport which is set to release sometime this year on Xbox Series S and X.

Three screenshots of what seems to be a map featured in Forza Horizon 5 were allegedly leaked on Reddit which indicates that the game could be set in Japan.

These maps show the Yokohama, Gunma, Fuji, and Gunma regions, an interesting choice as these areas have a wide variety of terrain suitable for different vehicles and playstyles. According to a Reddit, user, these screenshots were allegedly “taken during a Developer Conference in January 2020 where multiple developers were showing off new details about their upcoming games on Xbox.”

In other news, Forza Horizon 4 will be launching on Steam, which is the first Forza game to launch on PC’s biggest storefront. This could be an intentional move by Microsoft to introduce more players to the Forza Horizon series.
