S4 returns to Alliance

Legendary player Gustav “s4” Magnusson celebrates his 28th birthday marking his return to his former home, the Alliance.

Although, the news came out yesterday, being 1st of April Alliance wasn’t joking around and confirms his comeback after four years of Dota with OG and EG.

Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg – Alliance co-founder and streamer had a few words to say on S4’s arrival:

“I want to welcome S4 back to the team, I can safely say that I’m not the only one who has missed him in Dota these past couple months. We in Alliance have a long history with S4 and many unforgettable moments. I have no doubts that he can bring Alliance to greatness, I am really happy to announce that S4 is back!”

The last time S4’s wore the Alliance jersey was back the year, 2016. Since then, he has been playing at the likes of some big names within the scenario such as Team Secret, OG and EG.

He finished with a top-six place at TI9 with EG and it’s been six months he’s been on a pause moving to inactive state within the EG roster caught in the aftermath of post TI9 shuffle.

“Hey guys! Excited to play some Dota again since it’s been a while for me. Looking forward to make some new friends in the team and show everyone great games.

Thank you to Alliance for giving me a shot at this. Sorry to everyone that has been waiting for so long, but also thank you to all that have been patiently waiting for my return.” says Gustav “s4” Magnusson in the Alliance official announcement on their website.

Alliance departed two of their own players on March 31st, Neta “33” Shapira and the team captain Adrian “Fata” Trinks. S4 is likely to acquire a little bit from both ends, the offlane position of “33” and captaincy of Fata.

There’s no word yet who is going to fill the slot that Fata vacated. However, not long until we see the new reformed squad in action as they are set to kick off this coming Saturday, on the 4th of April.
