Map 1: Train; Pick: GL; Winner: Falcons
Starting strong on the CT side, Falcons managed to go 6-0 up before GamerLegion could pull anything back. As NiKo and TeSeS kept firing on full cylinders, GL managed no more than 3 rounds before switching sides. Starting their T side with a 9-3 deficit, the Falcons steamrolled past the Swedes in time, winning 4 rounds without losing a single one. Winning the map 13-3, TeSeS and NiKo found themselves tied with 18 kills and 1.84 IR to their names as the best players for Falcons.
Map 2: Nuke Pick: Falcons; Winner: Falcons
Starting their defense with a pistol round loss, the Falcons hit the board with the first gun round. The first gun round saw Falcons go on a winning spree for a few rounds, as GL managed only one round in between. Similar to Train, Falcons switched sides with a 9-3 lead. Losing the pistol again, Falcons hit them back with a force buy and proceeded to the finish line flawlessly. Having dropped the ball on the first map, m0NESY delivered a star-player worthy performance to win the map 13-4 with 17 kills to his name.
Coming off a stunning victory in Bucharest, the Falcons have now set up a match against MOUZ for a spot in the Grand Finals of IEM Melbourne. While many big names were missing from Bucharest, which put a lot of question marks on their victory, a win here would put their names right up there with the title contenders.
