How to remake in VALORANT?

In VALORANT, when a teammate disconnects either before the match starts or within the first round, players have the option to end the game and queue for a new one.

A remake call can be triggered at the beginning of the second round if a player disconnects during the initial stages of the match, from the buy phase to the end of the first round. To initiate the remake vote, type “/remake” in the chat. However, keep in mind that you can only remake the second round of the map.

When you choose to remake in VALORANT, it is not considered a forfeit. Remaking allows you to avoid playing an entire game at a disadvantage and guarantees that you won’t lose any RR. Voting ‘yes’ for a remake is always in the best interest of you and your team.

How to remake in VALORANT?

To initiate a remake in VALORANT, follow these steps:

  • Open the in-game chat.
  • Type “/remake” to start a remake vote.
  • All players need to select “Yes” by pressing F5 to pass the remake vote.

If the remake vote is successfully passed and the game is remade, all players who voted ‘yes’ will not suffer any penalties in terms of XP, RR, or matchmaking rating (MMR) loss for the match.

The only player penalized in a remake scenario is the one who disconnected, as they will receive a penalty equivalent to disconnecting from a full match. This penalty helps discourage queue dodging and prevents wasting time for everyone involved given there are hardly any feelings as frustrating as playing with a dodger.
