How to get a nuke in Warzone 2

nuke in cod warzone

It was only a rumor until three days after Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s release that someone actually exploded a nuclear device.

The original Warzone’s nuclear, which transformed Verdansk(opens in new tab) and ushered in the Cold War with the updated ’84 version, was different.

If you’re familiar with the original Tactical Nuke killstreak, you’ll know exactly how the new Warzone 2 nuke works: once it’s detonated, the match is over for everyone. However, unlike the killstreak, you’ll need to find several specified things during a game and defend them from others.

How to get a nuke in Warzone 2

  • You need to secure win five consecutive wins in Warzone 2.0
  • Make sure to start the Champion’s Quest contract
  • Find the three elements needed for the nuke
  • Wait for the bomb site to get highlighted on the map
  • Now use the three components to arm the Nuke
  • Defend the bomb for other players for at least 2 minutes

Warzone 2’s nuke can only be activated after some research. There are multiple phases you must complete to bring complete destruction to everyone on the Al Mazrah battlefield, and teamwork will play a crucial role.

If you make it through the first hurdle and win five games in a row, a unique contract labeled Champion’s Quest will appear on the world map for you to complete. Tritium, Beryllium, and Plutonium, marked on the map, must be collected after this is started.

Before you realize that other players can steal these materials from you, these tasks may appear to be really straightforward and easy to complete. If you have any nuke components, you’ll be highlighted on the map with a giant golden crown, making you more likely to be hunted.

Once you have all three supplies, wait for the bomb site to appear on the map and assemble the nuke. The countdown clock is now at two minutes, and you must arm the nuclear weapon.

You still have some work to do before you can relax; other players still need to be kept at bay until the bomb goes off. As soon as it happens, the screen will go white, signaling the end of the game and your team’s victory.
