The Free Fire MAX India Cup (FFMIC) is Garena’s national championship for Free Fire MAX in India. It launched in 2025 and from 2026 runs twice a year, as a Spring and a Fall season, each with a ₹1 crore prize pool. Top Indian teams use it to qualify for Garena’s international events.

How teams qualify
Every season opens to amateur squads and narrows down to 12 teams for a LAN Grand Finals. The 2026 Fall season followed this path:
- City qualifiers: offline qualifiers held in 12 cities.
- In-game qualifiers: open online qualification played in the game’s FFC mode.
- Play-ins: qualified squads play for places in the main event.
- Group stage: 48 teams.
- Knockout stage: the top 12 teams reach the Grand Finals.
- Grand Finals: two days on LAN, Point Rush and then Champion Rush.
Grand Finals format
Point Rush
All 12 finalists play six matches with standard scoring. The top six teams earn headstart points for the next day, from 10 points for first place down to 1 point for sixth. Teams placed seventh to twelfth start the final day on zero.
Champion Rush
Teams keep playing matches until one of them wins the title. A team must first cross a points threshold (110 points in 2026 Fall) to become eligible, and then win a match (a Booyah) to become champion. The threshold is set by Garena each season.

The 2025 edition was played in two modes, Battle Royale and Clash Squad. Total Gaming Esports won both. From 2026 the tournament is battle royale only.
Route to international events
- 2026 Fall: the top three teams qualify for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2026 Global Finals in Bangkok.
- 2026 Spring: champion Team HIND qualified directly for the main stage of the Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational (FFMAI) 2026 Spring; teams placed second to ninth earned play-in slots.
Who can play
For the 2025 edition Garena required players to be Indian citizens aged 16 or over, with an account at level 40 or above and a minimum rank of Diamond 1. Rules can change each season, so check the official rulebook for the current edition.
