NAVI Takes Down FaZe To Secure Semi Final Spot in IEM Cologne 2023 CSGO Tournament

Ukrainian esports organization NAVI has managed to take down FaZe in a remarkable fashion to secure their semi-final spot against Astralis in the ongoing IEM Rio 2023 CSGO tournament. The Group B lower bracket brawl between the two ended 2-0 in favor of NAVI as FaZe seemed to be far from their best performance throughout the series.

The first game on Mirage ended with a score of 16-7 in favor of NAV, with Justinas “jL” Lekavicius topping the leaderboard with a 26-10 KDR. The second game on Overpass was a much closer one, and overtime was needed to settle the scores between the teams. NAVI managed to pull off a 19-17 victory at the end, rallying behind a whopping 40-kill from Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.

“I didn’t feel like they were FaZe, usually when you play FaZe you get headshotted instantly and they swing on you together, and it was kinda lacking that,” jL said in a post-match interview.

Finn “karrigan” Andersen also claimed that the team didn’t feel like its usual self, “I think three out of four maps we were not ourselves. The way we were losing to NAVI in the first map and the way we were losing to G2 in the first map, it’s just not good enough.”

Krafton Disqualifies Stalwart Esports From BGIS 2023: The Grind For Violating Rules

0

Krafton has taken a firm stand against unfair practices and disqualified Team Stalwart Esports from the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 for violating the rules set out in the BGIS Rulebook. The violation pertains to sections 2.1.5 and 6.2.4 of the rulebook, which address single team exclusivity and ringing, respectively. Additionally, Krafton stated that it will soon announce the replacement team.

Stalwart Esports Disqualified For ‘Ringing’ and Violating ‘Single Team Exclusivity’

Krafton reinforces its commitment to responsible gaming and fair gameplay by disqualifying Stalwart Esports. The company publicly announced on Instagram, “We do not tolerate unfair practices and strictly adhere to rules and regulations”. The violation of these rules clearly breached fair play principles, essential to the competitive gaming spirit.

The first violation, as outlined in section 2.1.5 of the BGIS Rulebook, deals with the principle of single team exclusivity. According to this rule, a player can play for only one team and cannot compete for more than one team. This regulation ensures that players commit themselves fully to a single team and avoid potential conflicts of interest.

Section 2.1.5 of the BGIS Rulebook

The second violation, under section 6.2.4 of the BGIS Rulebook, deals with the act of ringing. Ringing occurs when a player competes under another player’s account or Gamertag. This practice is strictly prohibited as it undermines the integrity of the competition and gives an unfair advantage to the team involved.

Section 6.2.4 of the BGIS Rulebook

In light of these violations, Krafton exercised its authority as the governing body of BGIS and enforced the penalty as stated in section 6.4.2 of the rulebook.

Following the disqualification, Krafton also announced that it will soon reveal the replacement team to fill the vacant spot in BGIS 2023: The Grind. Above all, this move demonstrates Krafton’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the competition and ensuring that the event continues without any disruptions caused by rule violations.

Dynamo Explains Why Hydra Esports Refrained From Signing Underdog Players for BGIS 2023

0

Hydra Esports owner Aaditya “Dynamo” Sawant recently shed light on the organization’s decision not to sign underdog players for the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS). Dynamo addressed the pressing issue of cheaters in BGIS matches, underscoring the challenges in distinguishing genuine skill from cheating practices. He also highlighted the potential disappointment the organization could face if underdog players failed to qualify.

Hydra Esports Shuns Underdogs Due to Cheating Concerns and Qualification Disappointment

During a recent livestream, one of Dynamo’s viewers asked him why his organization did not sign underdog players for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS). Dynamo answered with an explanation, shedding light on their decision-making process. He began by addressing the issue of cheaters in recent BGIS 2023: The Grind matches. Dynamo pointed out that there had been numerous instances of players getting caught using cheats during the competition. This raised concerns about blindly trusting players solely based on their gameplay, as it became challenging to differentiate between genuine skill and cheaters.

Dynamo emphasized that there were many teams demonstrating exceptional skills in the tournament. However, the prevalence of cheaters in the BGIS community has made people concerned about players’ legitimacy. This skepticism and doubt created mistrust around underdog players who might genuinely possess talent but could be unfairly judged.

Dynamo emphasized that there was always the possibility that a player might resort to cheating, regardless of their background or initial promise. Such a scenario could lead to significant disappointment for the organization and fans, as the integrity and reputation of Hydra Esports could tarnish. Furthermore, Dynamo highlighted another challenge that could arise from signing underdogs— the possibility of them failing to qualify for the tournament. This outcome would also be a disappointment for the organization, its fans, and the players themselves.

In the face of these potential disappointments and challenges, Dynamo stressed the importance of taking a measured and cautious approach. He believed that rushing into signing underdog players without careful consideration could lead to regrettable outcomes.

How To Match Flames in Fortnite?

0

In Fortnite’s Season 3, players are introduced to new challenges, including the intriguing task of matching flames in hidden temples. These temples, filled with puzzles, offer exclusive rewards to those who can solve them.

This guide will walk you through the process of matching flames in Fortnite’s hidden temples.

How To Match Flames in Fortnite?

The Hidden Temple, located northwest of the Creeky Compound, requires an Epic rarity item to gain access. Inside, you’ll find four braziers. The key is to remember which braziers are lit and which are not. After noting the pattern, offer a Legendary item to access the second room and match the flames to the pattern you observed. If done correctly, the door will open, revealing your reward.

The Southern Temple, found southeast of Rumble Ruins, presents a similar challenge. After offering an Epic item, you’ll gain access to a room with a puzzle. The solution lies upstairs, where you’ll find the pattern of lit and unlit braziers. Once you’ve matched the flames in the puzzle room to this pattern, you’ll be able to claim your reward.

Successfully matching the flames in both temples will grant you exclusive rewards. While the process may seem daunting, the rewards are well worth the effort. So, gear up, dive into the world of Fortnite, and start solving those puzzles!

Step-by-Step Guide to Uninstalling Valorant on Windows 10

0

Whether you’re looking to free up some storage space or you’ve decided to take a break from Valorant, uninstalling the game might be the right move. However, uninstalling Valorant through the Riot Client isn’t as straightforward as you might think.

If you’re hoping to uninstall Valorant directly through the Riot Client, you’re out of luck. The Riot Client serves as a launcher and doesn’t offer an uninstall feature. But don’t worry, there’s another way to remove Valorant from your PC.

Step-by-Step Guide to Uninstalling Valorant on Windows 10

To uninstall Valorant, follow these steps:

  • Open your PC’s search bar and type in “Control Panel,” then select the option when it appears.
  • Under “Programs,” select “Uninstall a program.”
  • Scroll down until you see Valorant listed, likely taking up around 26.5 GB of space.
  • Right-click Valorant and select “Uninstall” to begin the process.
  • Confirm the uninstall when prompted. By doing this, Valorant will be fully removed from your computer.

Remember, Valorant uses Riot Vanguard, an anti-cheat software. You’ll need to uninstall this separately by following the same steps above but selecting “Riot Vanguard” instead of Valorant.

Once you’ve uninstalled Valorant and Riot Vanguard, your PC will be free of these programs, and you’ll have more disk space for other applications or games. It’s always a good idea to review your installed programs regularly and uninstall those you no longer use.

How to Completely Uninstall Valorant Including Riot Vanguard?

0

Keeping a game installed on your PC is often the most convenient option, as it saves you from having to reinstall it later. However, there are times when uninstalling a game, like Valorant, makes more sense. This could be due to the need for extra storage space or simply because you won’t be playing the game for a long time.

If you’re looking to uninstall Valorant specifically through the Riot Client, you’re out of luck. The Riot Client serves as a launcher and does not feature uninstall functionality. Uninstalling any of Riot’s games off your PC can be surprisingly difficult. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a step-by-step guide on how to uninstall Valorant.

How to Completely Uninstall Valorant Including Riot Vanguard?

  • Open up your PC’s search bar and type in Control Panel, selecting the option when it appears.
  • “Uninstall a programme” can be found under Programmes. This will display a list of every programme that is installed on your computer.
  • Scroll down until you see Valorant listed, likely sitting at around 26.5 GB.
  • To start, right-click Valorant and choose Uninstall. You’ll get a window or two as a result, and you should confirm the uninstall. By doing this, Valorant will be fully removed from your computer.

After uninstalling Valorant, you may also need to uninstall Riot Vanguard, which is their anti-cheat software for Valorant. Follow the same steps as above to remove it from your PC. Once both are uninstalled, your PC should be completely free of Valorant, and you can install whatever else you want.

14,000 Cheaters Banned in Major Ban Wave for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2

0

Cheating, a long-standing issue in online gaming, has been dealt a significant blow in Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Approximately 14,000 cheaters were banned from both games within a single day, marking a significant victory for the gaming community.

In 2021, Activision Blizzard introduced the RICOCHET anti-cheat system to combat the problem of cheating. Despite the ongoing efforts of cheat makers to exploit the game, the system has had some success. The recent ban wave has temporarily put another 14,000 cheaters out of action.

This recent wave of bans is speculated to be linked to a court case in which Activision was awarded $3 million in damages from cheat maker EngineOwning. It’s believed that the banned accounts are directly associated with EngineOwning and InterWebz, as users linked to these platforms can no longer log in.

With the upcoming release of Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and the impending launch of Modern Warfare 3, it appears that Activision is ready to intensify its crackdown on cheaters. While this won’t be the last ban wave, it’s a significant step towards a fairer and more enjoyable gaming experience.
