Doja Cat Is Coming to Fortnitemares 2025

Grammy-winning recording artist Doja Cat will haunt the Fortnite island this Halloween, unleashing her tough persona to Epic Games’ seasonal Fortnitemares celebration as both a playable character and main villain. The partnership, officially announced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, is a historic first where an artist plays dual roles in the battle royale sensation.

Doja Cat’s Fortnite introduction revolves around her evil alter ego, The Mother of Thorns, who is “a trickster, enchantress, and sorceress” whose “fear is her greatest delight”. The unveiling happened during a memorable Tonight Show bit where Doja Cat was subject to a “Real or Fake” Fortnite skin test and ended with the dramatic reveal of her own character.

The theatrical unveil saw Doja Cat reclining upon a real-life copy of The Mother of Thorns’ throne, complete with gothic styling and twisted thorns that reflect her in-game boss aesthetic. The artist was thrilled with her “villain era,” celebrating Epic Games turning her into a boss for their largest-ever Halloween event.

The latest leaks from well-known Fortnite dataminer x103p confirm that fans will get not one, but two separate Doja Cat Icon Series skins. The leaked screenshots display various cosmetic designs, with one outfit said to be based on her “Agora Hills” music video look. This two-skin strategy is in line with Epic Games’ practice of providing several styles for high-profile celebrity partnerships.

From industry reports, the entire package will most likely contain other cosmetics like back bling, pickaxe, emotes, and possibly limited Jam Tracks from the Doja Cat repertoire. Based on past Icon Series price trends, the entire bundle will probably cost around 2,800 V-Bucks.

The Mother of Thorns will be the overall central antagonist when Fortnitemares 2025 launches on October 9, 2025, lasting until November 1. Leaks indicate Doja Cat will have her own Point of Interest (POI) on the battle royale map, possibly usurping the classic Freaky Fields spot that was held by other Halloween bosses in years past.

The strategic October drop puts Doja Cat’s skins in Fortnite’s prime Halloween activity season, when player expenditure on holiday cosmetics historically peaks for the year.

Gentle Mates To Join Valorant Champions Tour EMEA 2026

Gentle Mates is set to join the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour EMEA 2026 as one of the new additions to the event, Riot Games revealed on October 7th.

The French organization was relegated from VCT EMEA in August 2025 following their devastating finish with only 3 wins and 10 losses.

Gentle Mates has been given a one-year contract, making them a part of the tier-one VCT circuit until the end of 2026 and filling the void left by Movistar KOI after the organization’s partnership agreement was terminated by Riot following “a breach of the team’s contractual agreement with the league.”

“When the opportunity to apply presented itself, it was a no-brainer: Valorant is part of Gentle Mates’ DNA,” Director of Gentle Mates, Marceau Lambert, said in a statement. “Since our rise through Ascension, we have brought a strong identity, an engaged community, and a unique energy to the league. But for us, that’s only half the story. The other half will be played out on the field.”

According to a press release, Gentle Mates secured the highest overall score in the team selection evaluation. The criteria considered included organizational goals for the 2026 season, collaboration and strategic alignment, channel strategy, operational readiness, competitive plans, and player support systems, as well as community resonance and the ability to generate fandom.

NAVI Eliminates MongolZ from EPL Season 22

NAVI is through to the playoffs of the ESL Pro League Season 22, beating MongolZ with a 2-0 scoreline. Having already lost two matches, NAVI brings home a crucial win against an opponent that has been a thorn in their side in recent times and eliminates them from the event in the process.

VETO

  • Natus Vincere removed Overpass
  • The MongolZ removed Train
  • Natus Vincere picked Nuke
  • The MongolZ picked Ancient
  • Natus Vincere removed Mirage
  • The MongolZ removed Dust2
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Nuke; Pick: NAVI; Winner: NAVI

NAVI hit the board, converting a force buy in the second round after MongolZ won the opening pistol. NAVI brought their A game and paired with calls from Aleksib, a well-executed T side put them 9-3 up before switching sides. Losing the pistol round, MongolZ paved the way for NAVI to take home the map, which they did without losing a single round. 2.08 IR from iM proved fundamental in getting NAVI an early lead in the series against an opponent that has historically troubled them a great deal.

Map 2: Ancient; Pick: MongolZ; Winner: NAVI

A solid start from MongolZ to open Ancient put NAVI on the back foot. The MongolZ’s fast-paced offense was proving too much for NAVI to handle early on, but a quick tactical change with NAVI being more proactive on the defense helped them recover the half and switch sides with a level scoreline. The story repeated for another half as the next 12 rounds failed to separate the teams, leading to the map going to OT. MongolZ faltered in overtime as NAVI went on to win all of the remaining rounds and closed the map with a 16-12 scoreline.

MongolZ have tormented NAVI on big occasions multiple times in the past, but not today. This is the day, NAVI goes through to the next round of play at the cost of MongolZ, who will now be heading home. Goes without saying that one bad event barely takes anything away from them, but with the Major approaching, now is the time to iron out the wrinkles.

Vitality Qualifies for EPL Season 22 Playoffs

Vitality is through to the playoffs of the ESL Pro League Season 22, beating G2 Esports in a tough series. Coming out ahead with a 2-0 scoreline, Vitality will be at the next rounds of play despite many writing them off after their opening day loss.

VETO

  • G2 removed Nuke
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • G2 picked Inferno
  • Vitality picked Mirage
  • G2 removed Overpass
  • Vitality removed Train
  • Dust2 was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: G2; Winner: Vitality

A blistering 8-0 Start with Vitality, put them far ahead of G2 right from the get-go. G2, in their futile attempt to stop Vitality, pulled in a few rounds, but the half was too far gone, leading to the conclusion with a 10-2 scoreline. Losing the pistol closed any hopes for a comeback, and Vitality rallied to the end in the second half without dropping a single round. 13-2 domination of G2 by Vitality was marked by a statement, Ropz‘s performance, but that hardly tells the story of a stellar team performance.

Map 2: Mirage; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

G2 was in the mood to return the favour as they started with a 5-0 scoreline. Vitality did manage to win rounds, but they were few and far between, as Vitality failed to do anything convincing in their offense. Despite switching sides with a massive 9-3 deficit, Vitality’s strong defence later closed down G2 to push the game to OT. The OT saw Vitality pull ahead of G2 with two rounds in the first and two in the second half to seal the deal. The 16-13 win by Vitality could be credited to 25 kills from ZyWoo, with ropz chiming in with the impact when needed.

G2’s room for error is now gone, with the next match against 3DMAX being a do-or-die one. Playoffs are where G2 shine, and for them to miss it would be a shame for the competition in the next round of play. Tomorrow, we will find out if G2 can make it to the playoffs or if it will be their last day here.

Valorant Servers Lagging: How To Fix?

Are the Valorant servers lagging for you when you try to play the game? Turns out, this issue is a lot more common than you may think. Luckily, there are a number of effective solutions that you can try to fix your ping issues in Valorant.

Lag is undoubtedly one of the most frustrating problems that you can run into when playing any competitive game. However, in a fast-paced FPS title like Valorant, high ping can make your game feel unplayable as you’ll often find yourself dying before you’re even able to see the enemy.

As a result, minimizing your lag is crucial if you’re looking to get the upper hand over your opponents in engagements. Having a lower ping than your opponent is a huge advantage that can give you more time to react in gunfights and help you win more duels overall.

With that being said, here’s what you can do to fix server lag in Valorant.

How To Fix Valorant Servers Lagging?

While server lag in Valorant isn’t exactly unheard of, it’s far more likely that the issue lies with your own internet connection rather than the game’s servers.

For the same reason, to troubleshoot server lag, you should always start by checking your internet connection. Ensure your router and network equipment are functioning properly before assuming the problem is on Riot’s end.

If you’re facing server lag in Valorant, here’s what you should do:

  • Restart Router: The first thing you should do if you find yourself lagging in Valorant is restart your router. To do this, turn off your router and wait around a minute to turn it back on. You’d be surprised to find out how many times a simple router restart is enough to fix server lag in Valorant.
  • Check Server Status: If restarting your router doesn’t fix the issue, you should try checking if there’s an issue with the Valorant servers themselves. You can do so by going to third-party websites like Downdetector and seeing if other players are reporting problems with the Valorant servers.
  • Verify File Integrity: Corrupted files are also a common culprit, as they can interfere with Valorant’s ability to connect to servers or load assets properly. Verifying or reinstalling the game files through the Riot client can often resolve this issue.
  • Switch Servers: If the Valorant server lag is widespread and you’re not the only one who’s encountering this issue, you should switch to a different server within your region till the issue is resolved.

By following the aforementioned steps, you should, in most cases, be able to fix server lag in Valorant. If the problem persists, your best bet would be to contact Riot Support and explain your issue in detail.
