ScoutOP Backs Off from Ongoing Controversy in BGMI Community

In a period of significant unrest within the BGMI community, prominent esports player Tanmay “ScoutOP” Singh has chosen to distance himself from the ongoing controversies. The recent days have been particularly challenging, with the community engulfed in heated debates and accusations, especially following the ban on Ignite Gaming.

ScoutOP, a well-known figure in the BGMI scene, took to social media platform X to announce his decision to refrain from commenting on any situation unless directly implicated. His post underscored the pervasive drama and politics within the community, stating, “Tbh there’s too much drama and politics in BGMI community. I don’t feel like commenting on any situation nowadays. Lagta h kichad h saaf karne jao toh khud bhi gande ho jaoge. So jab ab merepe ya meri team pe baat nhi ata h me toh popcorn leke bethunga and dekhunga.”

The controversy centers around a clash between 8Bit Juicy and LeeoYT from Ignite Gaming. Following a ban by Krafton, LeeoYT shared screenshots alleging that Juicy had asked for a team-up during a BGMI match. Juicy responded by clarifying that asking for a drop does not equate to teaming up and denied any wrongdoing. The situation escalated as LeeoYT involved other popular BGMI pros, including Destro and Goblin, in the argument.

ScoutOP’s decision to step back has elicited mixed reactions from the community. While some fans support his stance, advising him to enjoy his recent BMPS 2024 victory, others are disappointed by his silence. One fan commented, “That’s what you should be doing bro. Your team won so enjoy! Ye bajne walo ko bajte rakho. Unke opinion matter nahi karna chahiye.”

The BGMI community has experienced its fair share of controversies, but the current situation has been particularly intense. The ban on Ignite Gaming has triggered a series of accusations and counter-accusations, with various players and teams being implicated. ScoutOP’s decision to avoid getting involved unless necessary reflects his desire to stay out of the fray and focus on his team’s success.

As the drama continues to unfold, the community remains divided. Some believe that addressing the issues head-on is the best approach, while others, like ScoutOP, prefer to stay out of the spotlight and avoid getting entangled in the controversies. The coming days will likely see more developments, but for now, ScoutOP is content to watch from the sidelines, popcorn in hand.

Counter-Strike 2 just saw its biggest update of the year so far, and it adds a new Operation to the competitive shooter.

Yes, you read that right. After a short wait of 1,108 days since the last Operation, Counter-Strike has finally received another Operation that the community has been eagerly anticipating for years.

Also, jitter was not considered, even though excessive jitter can disrupt smooth gameplay. The new measurement method will only count reordered packets as misdelivered if they impact gameplay. Furthermore, if the network jitter exceeds a threshold where gameplay is affected, the packets are counted as misdelivered even if they are not dropped and arrive in order.

Understanding the Armory Pass in Counter-Strike 2

Valve’s latest update for Counter-Strike 2, called “The Armory,” has brought a lot of excitement to the gaming community. Released on October 2, 2024, this update introduces the Armory Pass, a new system that rewards players with exclusive in-game items through gameplay.

Understanding the Armory Pass

The Armory Pass costs $16 and allows players to earn Armory Credits by gaining in-game XP. Whether you’re playing competitive matches or casual deathmatches, every bit of XP helps you progress. Each pass lets players earn up to 40 Armory Credits, which can be exchanged for various items in the Armory. Players can activate up to five Armory Passes at once, allowing for simultaneous progress.

Exclusive Rewards and How to Earn Them

Armory Credits are the new currency and can’t be bought, traded, or sold. They must be earned through gameplay, making the rewards a true testament to a player’s dedication and skill. Here’s what you can get with your Armory Credits:

  • 25 Credits: Limited edition Heat Treated Desert Eagle (available until January 3, 2025)
  • 3 Credits: Random Charm
  • 4 Credits: Random skin from the new Overpass, Graphic, or Sport & Field collections
  • 2 Credits: New Gallery Case
  • 1 Credit: Random sticker from the new Elemental Craft or Character Craft collections

Weapon Charms: A New Era of Customization

One of the standout features of this update is weapon charms. These dynamic items can be added to your favorite weapons, offering a new level of personalization. Players can drag and drop charms to place them precisely on their weapons, with each weapon holding one charm at a time. Redeeming a charm from the Armory gives you three complimentary Charm Detachments, allowing you to remove and reuse charms as you like.

Competitive Map Pool Shake-Up

The update also brings significant changes to the competitive map pool. These changes aim to keep gameplay fresh and challenging, encouraging players to adapt and refine their strategies. The updated map pool includes both fan favorites and new additions, ensuring a diverse and engaging competitive environment.

Technical Improvements and Bug Fixes

Valve has addressed numerous technical issues and implemented several improvements to enhance the overall gaming experience. These include network optimizations, bug fixes, and quality-of-life updates that make the game smoother and more enjoyable for players.

A New Trading System

The update introduces a revamped trading system, making it easier for players to trade items with friends and other community members. This system includes new features like a seven-day re-trade and re-market restriction on all items acquired from the in-game store, Trade Offers, and the Steam Community Market. Players can now preview stickers, patches, and charms on their inventory items before making a purchase.

Valve’s “The Armory” update for Counter-Strike 2 is a game-changer, bringing a wealth of new content and improvements that are sure to excite both casual players and competitive gamers alike. With the introduction of the Armory Pass, weapon charms, and significant map pool changes, this update not only enhances the gameplay experience but also rewards players for their dedication and skill. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the game, there’s never been a better time to dive into Counter-Strike 2 and explore all that “The Armory” has to offer.

Valve’s Major CS2 Update: The Armory Brings New Gallery Case, Weapon Charms, and Map Pool Changes

Valve has rolled out a substantial update for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) on October 2, 2024. Dubbed “The Armory,” this update introduces a plethora of new features, including weapon charms, new weapon collections, and notable changes to the competitive map pool.

The Armory update is akin to a new operation, offering players a wealth of cosmetic items through the Armory Pass. This pass allows players to earn credits, which can be spent on a variety of new skins, charms, and stickers. The update includes three new weapon collections: the Overpass 2024 collection, the Graphic collection, and the Sport & Field collection. Each collection brings a unique aesthetic to the game, with the Overpass 2024 collection featuring the AK-47 B The Monster, adorned with iconic graffiti from the map.

In addition to the weapon collections, the update introduces the Gallery Case, which contains 17 new skins and a chance to obtain the coveted Kukri Knife. Players can also look forward to two new sticker capsules: the Elemental Craft and Character Craft collections. These additions bring over 100 new items to CS2, ensuring that there’s something for every player to enjoy.

Weapon Charms:

One of the most anticipated features of The Armory update is the introduction of weapon charms. These small, decorative items can be attached to weapons, adding a new layer of personalization to the game. The update includes 33 different charms, divided into two collections: the Missing Link collection and the Small Arms collection. The Missing Link collection features miniature versions of agent skins, while the Small Arms collection offers tiny, colorful weapons⁴.

Weapon charms have been a popular feature in other first-person shooters like Rainbow Six and VALORANT, and their arrival in CS2 marks a significant step forward in weapon cosmetic technology. Players can obtain these charms through the Armory Pass or by purchasing them on the Steam Market.

Competitive Map Pool Shake-Up

The Armory update also brings changes to the competitive map pool, with the addition of Italy. This classic map has been reintroduced to the rotation, providing players with a fresh challenge. Alongside Italy, several maps have received updates and bug fixes to improve gameplay and balance.

Technical Improvements and Bug Fixes

Valve has not only focused on new content but also on enhancing the overall gaming experience. The update includes numerous animation and network fixes, addressing issues that have been plaguing players. Improved character posing on slopes, adjustments to feet pinning, and fixes for aggressively leaned characters are just a few of the changes aimed at refining the game’s mechanics.

A New Trading System

In a bid to curb market manipulation and enhance security, Valve has implemented a new trading system. All items acquired from the in-game store, trade offers, and the Steam Community Market are now subject to a 7-day re-trade and re-market restriction. This change aims to create a more stable and fair trading environment for players.

In the competitive world of COD Warzone, Victory Titles are awarded to the winning team at the end of each match. Among these titles, “Ghost” stands out as one of the most challenging to achieve.

Unlike other titles, which can be earned by using meta weapons or achieving specific kill types, Ghost requires a completely different approach: stealth and precision.

Xbox Live Network Suffers Massive Outage Globally

0

The Xbox Live network servers went down globally a few hours ago. This outage just happened the day after a similar disruption to Sony’s PlayStation Network, making it a double blow for the gaming community.

While Xbox Live seems to have recovered by 1:30 PM BST, many users reported difficulties accessing the service during the downtime. This prevented them from playing online games and engaging in multiplayer activities.

The number of outage reports on DownDetector spiked significantly on the morning of the incident. Microsoft officially confirmed a widespread problem and assured the players that they were working on it. The Xbox Status page also acknowledged the server issues.

Just a day before, Sony’s PlayStation network had experienced an eight-hour outage that affected PlayStation 4 and 5 users. While the cause of this disruption remains undisclosed, it was eventually resolved early Tuesday morning.

These back-to-back outages have undoubtedly caused frustration and inconvenience for gamers who rely on these online platforms for daily entertainment.

Update: Xbox has fixed the server issues as mentioned on their official Twitter handle.

Valorant Devs Confirm Unreal Engine 5 Move, Tease Potential PvE Game Mode

0

Riot Games has confirmed that they’re planning to move Valorant to Unreal Engine 5 in the near future, calling it a “necessary” change for the tactical shooter.

The announcement was made during the Unreal Fest Seattle 2024, with SVP and Head of VALORANT Studios Anna Donlon claiming that the dev team has already “squeezed literally every ounce of everything” that they could get from Unreal Engine 4.

However, for the time being, the engine upgrade won’t bring any noticeable changes to the title.

“This upgrade is not going to significantly change how Valorant looks or performs, at least not right away,” Donlon said in a statement.

Valorant fans have raised concerns about whether the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 will render the game unplayable for players on lower-end systems, but with optimization options for the new engine being better than ever before, that might not be the case.

Riot Teases Possible PvE Game Mode for Valorant

Alongside announcing the move to Unreal Engine 5, Donlon also teased a possible PvE game mode for Valorant that the engine upgrade might bring to the game.

“There are many developers who are very excited about what UE5 can do for us in the future,” she said in a statement. “Maybe those devs are working on something I can’t talk about and maybe those devs are thinking about ways to expand the Val universe into new playable experiences.”

While it hasn’t been confirmed what the “new playable experiences” for Valorant might include, speculations have started brewing in the game’s community about a potential PvE game mode that can be made possible with the Unreal Engine 5 upgrade.

What these newly announced changes mean for the future of Valorant still remains to be seen.
