HoYoverse has always been great at the characters that look young, but they are, in fact, hundreds of years old. Another character you can find in their gallery is Citlali, who fits the above description to the tee. Many people could confuse her for Madame Ping but that is a mistake as well. Of course, Citlali is a grandmother in the primary game, although the global community has not determined her exact age in Genshin Impact.
This young but rather old-fashioned woman has many secrets up her small and adorable sleeves, most of them being amusing rather than malicious despite being centuries old. Citlali is yet another character in their roster that embodies this idea. At first glance, one might think she is akin to Madame Ping, but that’s a misconception. True, Citlali is a grandmother, yet her exact age in Genshin Impact remains a mystery.
Of course, since HoYoverse will not announce her age directly, we will have to look for the hints.
What is Citali’s real age in Genshin Impact though?
As much as I wished that I could give a more specific number, I would say that Citlali probably falls somewhere near 200 in terms of age in Genshin Impact. Upon the first meeting of the character in the represented country, Natlan, Citlali hints at the fact that, in fact, she is much older than she looks. She mocks a usual light novel cliché where a character looks younger than he or she actually is.
Citlali says Paimon has even tried to ask her about her age but she never answered the question. You can learn more hints about her age as you proceed to the main story. Following this encounter with Ororon, Citlali will take some drinks, and in her drunken state, she will make a remark to the effect that what difference does it make whether one is 200 or 1,000 years old?
Of course, I don’t think that HOYoverse would be so precise if it wasn’t for something. Thus, one can make a firm bet that Citlali’s actual age is within that bracket. She, beyond doubt, is older than Ororon; she was one of those ladies who took care of him in his childhood.
Moreover, Citlali is quite old, and her behavior does not reveal an attitude of the ancient wise. In fact, she looks incredibly immature and even weaker than she is depicted to be. This makes it look like even after all that time, she was still tom-pervaded and sometimes ended up in really silly situations.
