VCT Masters Japan announced

VCT Masters Japan

Japan will host the international tournament for the tactical first-person shooter “VALORANT” in June 2023, as revealed by Riot Games LLC (Roppongi, Minato-ku, President/CEO Yasushi Fujimoto). The news was made to a receptive crowd at the Yokohama Arena finale of Riot Games’ online and offline integrated event “Riot Games ONE” on December 24.

For this competition, which will be a cornerstone of the 2023 VCT Masters, we can think of no better location than Japan. There has been a tremendous increase in the size of the VALORANT community in Japan over the past year, with members of the group attending and participating in a wide variety of events.

The VCT Masters Japan tournament is scheduled to take place in June 2023, following the first-ever division of the International League. All three league champions and the LOCK//IN Brazil event victor will compete in The Masters.

The stakes for making it to Champions are pretty high at Masters, which makes the competition tough. To qualify for the Champions Tour, you must first compete in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) in the summer of 2023, after the Masters has concluded.

Following the conclusion of the kick-off competition, the competitive divides for the EMEA, PACIFIC, and AMERICAS regions will get underway.

Berlin, Seoul, and Los Angeles will all play host to “International League” local area network competitions. Fans all over the world will be able to watch the matches thanks to the distribution teams at each arena that will cover several linguistic broadcasts.

The 2023 season will include an eight-week regular season beginning in March and concluding in May to crown league winners.

The Masters is the second major international competition of the year and will be held in June. The best teams from around the world will be there to compete. The best teams from each region will advance to the “Champions” tournament, ultimately deciding the world champion.

The well-known “LCQ” (Last Chance Qualifier) competition will take place in July. Competing for the last available slot in the season’s pinnacle tournament, the Champions, are several formidable teams.

Starting in 2024, the “International League” will have two splits, but in 2023, due to the necessity for each club to prepare for events in the hub city, the competition will take the shape of an international tournament with a single split.
