The Snowball Fight game mode is set to make its return to Valorant this festive season, as per recent leaks from multiple sources.
The fan-favorite game mode is returning to the competitive shooter nearly five years after its initial debut, sparking a sense of nostalgia among veterans, while new players can indulge in a fresh holiday experience.
While Riot Games has yet to officially confirm the return of the Snowball Fight game mode to Valorant, prominent dataminers have revealed that fans will be able to jump back into the winter-themed battlefield once the holiday update rolls out.
Valorant Snowball Fight Game Mode Returns
The Snowball Fight mode was undoubtedly one of the most popular limited-time modes ever introduced in Valorant.
For the uninitiated, Snowball Fight was a team deathmatch-style game mode that split 10 players into two teams, with the first team to reach 50 kills declared the winner. However, unlike your standard Team Deathmatch mode, players are unable to use regular weapons or abilities in this mode. Instead, everyone is equipped with a Snowball Launcher with infinite ammo, though only one shot can be fired between each reload. Each snowball fired from the launcher instantly kills enemies upon hitting. Additionally, the mode also features several power-ups that players can pick up for temporary buffs.
Players who took part in the original Snowball Fight event were able to earn the exclusive Snow Bro Gun Buddy. Whether Riot plans to introduce any new rewards this time around remains to be seen.
Valorant Snowball Fight Game Mode Release Date
Riot Games hasn’t disclosed the release date for the Valorant Snowball Fight game mode at the time of writing. However, it’s safe to assume that the mode will return to Valorant within the next couple of weeks.
